“ I wish we just had a sign. that we’re going in the right direction. ” she tries to hold onto her faith, and what little remains of her resolve but it is trying. if not for herself, than for the girl before her. but they’ve both lost so much-- they’ve traveled so far without a single word. all she requires a nod, that it’ll be worth it, in the end. but Eileen’s had to dig deep before, and even if her heart still aches and burns from the death of Hanna, it’s the only thing that keeps her going. finding Glenn, or her other sisters, that’s all that matters to her. but having someone along with her, who has suffered through the same struggles is at least comforting. not being alone-- is life saving for her at this point.
