@foolishminato
I really would like to know what's wrong with me.
âMinato! Minato!â She shouted his name again and again, shaking his shoulders with increasing urgency, âPlease, donât-â She didnât know what to do, what was happening, why it was happening, â-donât close your eyes!â
His body was warm and sticky with blood, his bangs plastered to his forehead with a layer of grime and sweat that did not belong.
Minato should be clean and comfortable and warm,
not this.
Not covered in the red life of others, of himself, not sprawled halfway over the unforgivingly hard ground and what little comfort her lap could provide,
and most of all, not so cold, icy to the touch-
âAiâŚhhsâŚâ His voice is so weak but the word is enough to break her heart, how his eyes are looking at her (but not really) and all of a sudden he just
stops
Aigis screamed.
Her fingers dent the armrests of her maintainence chair as a single, protracted, guttural scream escapes her lips, her throat, her body, seizing and shaking as liquid electricity crackles down her spine before she stills, eyes wide open, lips parted.
Minato awoke with a start. There was a shout coming from Aigis' room A shout of fear.
Of pain.
Minato felt any grogginess leave him as he suddenly ran towards the door and began to bang on it in hopes of a response. His hand felt the vibrations with ever pound. "Aigis! Aigis! Please answer!"
No answer came to him so he began to pound against the door with his shoulder to break it down. Slam after slam. His shoulder felt numb after awhile but he didn't care. Things much worse than a few inches of plastic had tried to keep him from her. Finally he had had broken down the door.
He didn't even look at the door as he walked forward towards Aigis. He saw her hands extended in the odd rest area she calls a bed. Her hands were sticking out, gripping her arm rests so hard they had dents in them. Minato wondered how many times she did that, and what kind of nightmares could drive an android to act like that.
As he moved forward, he was stricken by how beautiful she was. Aigis was always beautiful, but sleep gave her a level of composure she never had while awake. While moving, Aigis was always a bit too concerned with seeming too human. Even with S.E.E.S. she tried to copy the mannerisms of  people a bit too much.
Here though she looked comfortable. Serene. She looked still and beautiful, as though she were trapped in time.
Almost like sleeping beauty.
Minato leaned forward (completely just to get make sure she was alright) and she seemed to be working normally by robot functions but he couldn't help but be bothered by how she was acting. Wouldn't she normally awaken at her name having been said? Wasn't she charged enough for that?
Fairy tales popped through his mind again. Fairy tales until love's first kiss awoken them. Minato had never considered himself the dashing prince. He was far too somber, too obsessed with himself.
Still, it was Aigis. There was no one he'd rather be the prince for, and no one he'd rather have as his princess...
Despite himself, he realized he was leaning in, his lips coming closer to hers.
Her heart ached, to see him this way.
âDonât look at me like thatâŚâ She murmured quietly, casting her glance away to prevent him from doing so. âTo think of losing you, in and of itself, grieves me to the core as it is, andâŚyou would have me go on in a world where everyone else was lost? A world where-â Her voice faltered fearfully, â-where Iâd be all aloneâŚâ
She was frustrated with herself suddenly, for having not impressed sufficiently upon him the importance of his survival, to this, where she was finding the most desperate and base of reasons within herself true as they were, and she realized-
-did she want him to feel guilty?
Maybe.
He deserved so much better than this.
She let go abruptly,
and ran.
Leaped from the rooftop to that of their next-door dorm and ran inside, downstairs, found her room.
She did not know if she wished to dream tonight, but she would sleep, if anything.
Minato was stunned for a moment before he yelled out. "Aigis! Wait!" it was no use. "...please. I love you."Â
Why he thought that would do anything, he didn't know. Maybe he just wanted to say it one more time.
It was so crazy. What did most people who cared about each other at this age fight about? Parents? dates? TVs shows? Here, he was asking a robot designed to protect him not to do just that.Â
It was stupid, incredibly stupid even. Aigis was probably their best fighter and bringing her along would no doubt increase their chances of survival.Â
But...
Minato's mind flashed back to that battle. She had been lucky then, but what if she had become irreversably damaged? Even worse, what if she became damaged in such a way that she lost her heart? What if winning meant losing her.Â
Regardless, he had to find Aigis. To make things right somehow. He didn't know how. She couldn't stand to see him hurt and he couldn't stand the exact same thing. But no matter what, he didn't want to spend what could be his final days with Aigis hating him.Â
It took him awhile to get down from the rooftop (The fire escape did not feel particularly safe) but he finally got to his dorm. To Akihiko's usual 'where have you been?' which felt like it had a conspiratorial wink to it this time, he only asked if Akihiko had seen Aigis. He had, of course, not.Â
Maybe she went in through a window or something. Minato briefly entertained fears of Aigis running away, never to be seen again. That was stupid though, even if he were to ignore the very reason they were fighting. She needed to come back here to recharge.
Finally he came to Aigis' door. "Aigis?" he said, knocking on her door.Â
No answer.
"Aigis?" he asked again, another knock.
No answer.'
The door across creaked open for Yukari to look out and when Minato's eyes met with her, Yukari's gaze only said I know you did something wrong.
Harsh, but fair.
Minato supposed the only thing left to do was to wait for her here. So, as Yukari closed the door. He leaned against the wall from Aigis' room and waited for her to either come through the hall or out of the room.
And waited.
And waited.
God he had had a stressful day.
That was probably why he eventually fell asleep while looking out for Aigis.
It hurt.
When he tried to move away.
When he looked at her like that.
It did not manifest on a physical level, but somewhere deeper, somewhere personal. She hung her head, trapped in thought. She could not look him in the eyes.
âAreâŚare my emotions soâŚso primitive? That-â Aigisâ optics were beginning to malfunction, a milky fog ebbing and flowing across the surface, â-that you would think a magnet would be responsible for what I am telling you?â When she shifted her chin up and found his eyes with hers again, she felt moisture running down her cheeks. âIs myâŚlove truly so base, to youâŚ? I-I donât know what to do-â Aigis sobbed quietly, â-if my present understanding of emotions is not developed enough to convey at least how-how deeply I-feel for you, to convey a feeling that I find synonymous with-â She looked straight into his eyes, partaking in the natural light of their human life that hers lacked, â-the thesis to my beingâŚâ
Aigis trailed off, her hand still clenched around Minatoâs upper arm, squeezing slightly harder.
A plea.
A warning.
Minato winced as Aigisâ gripped tightened. âAigisâŚâ he said through gritted teeth. âPlease⌠it hurtsâŚâ
Her statements about emotions barely made any sense to him⌠but they still hurt. He had hoped that Aigis had realized he never considered her less. Aigis meant the world to him and in many ways she more human than even most of S.E.E.S. members.
He looked at Aigis and realized that maybe he was wrong. Maybe it wasnât the magnet. Aigis eyes didnât speak of some malfunction. They were intense, they were real. There was fear in there, and maybe a little bit of anger. So much that she had in her, that he had awakened.
It frightened Minato. Frightened him that Aigis had this in her, that someone so dedicated and kind could look at him like that, and it especially frightened him that he had brought it out.
âAigisâŚâ he said, instinctively trying to pull his arm away to no avail. âPlease. Iâm just worried about you. Please, just⌠just let me go and we can figure this out.â
He couldnât stop trying to pull his arm out of her literally iron grip.
Her hand trembled around his arm.
His words trembled in her mind.
She clenched her jaw, felt fissions of pain reverberating throughout her body.
She was hurting him, he was hurting her, she was hurting him-
âI donât want to, I donât wantâŚto-!â Her instinct screamed to let him go, to never hurt him.
Something else, something whispering to make him share it with her, share this pain.
Aigis released his arm abruptly, reluctantly. After a moment of hesitation, she briefly cut off function in her leg where the magnet was holding them together and released his other hand. She instead took his wrists, held them more gently, but firmly enough to prevent escape, on either side of his face.
âIâŚknew that if I powered off function in that spot, the polarity would diminish, and thus release you with the lost magnetic properties.â She glanced aside, somewhat shamefully, before meeting his gaze again, the mournful feeling weighing heavily in her lucid blue eyes. âIâŚsimply wanted to stay with you a little longer.â Her fingers curled reflexively around his wrists as she leaned over him. âIt frustrates me-â She blurted suddenly, â-that my feelings can not reach you. I have evidently not made it clear that where you go, I go. You are not to die without me by your side, without me having sustained as much damage as I could to protect you to the very outermost edges of my bodyâs capabilities. IâŚâ Her expression softens. ââŚI need you to know this. I need you toâŚknow-?â She closes her eyes and touches her lips to his forehead, feels him, â-how deeply IâŚfeel for you-â
She draws back carefully, but her following words are firm. â-and until I am satisfied with your understanding of this fact, I will never let go of you, Minato.â
It was no longer painful, but Minato couldn't move his arms at all. He hoped his attempts to break free were not to noticeable to Aigis. He paused. And looked at her firm eyes. Beautiful eyes. Beautiful and terrifying, demands and ultimatums that Minato couldn't refuse.Â
"Aigis... I..." Minato looked at her. "I don't know what I'd do if I had to go on and you weren't there Aigis. You've done so much for me... Hell, I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for you. You've always been there for me, even when I didn't know it."
He looked at Aigis, frightened. He couldn't hide how he was scaring her.
"Aigis, it's just one fight. You've done so much for us already Even if things go wrong... you'll be okay... you're a robot... and if nothing else, if the rest of the world is gone at least you'll be safe."
It hurt.
When he tried to move away.
When he looked at her like that.
It did not manifest on a physical level, but somewhere deeper, somewhere personal. She hung her head, trapped in thought. She could not look him in the eyes.

He couldn't stop trying to pull his arm out of her literally iron grip.
She waited for him to retract the suggestion, but he did not.
"I..." Her mouth opened and closed again and again. "...W-What...?"
For the first time, Aigis was at an utter loss for words. The compounded pain of the innumerable thoughts, questions, protests that crowded her being, each yearning, aching, screaming to be voiced was crippling.
"Why...how..." She stammered, caught between wanting to follow his wishes to the letter simply because they were his-
-and wanting to follow her own.
"...How can you a-ask this, of, me-" Her words came out disjointed, shaky, unsure. He has singlehandedly swept the foundation from beneath her with this request,
-asking her to willingly part from him-
"I...can not comply with that request. I can not, I can not-!" Aigis feels her voice grow louder, and she repeats the words again and again with increasing desperation, shaking her head with nigh hysteria, fingers of her free hand curling against the shoulder of his jacket, "-and I will never!"
Never.
She knows the word to be the utmost form of disobedience, but she is not surprised how easily it has passed her lips, not in this situation.
Aigis was screaming at him now. Minato knew he would get a reaction, but he didn't expect it to be this bad. He instinctively moved away from her, but being still attached to her, he found himself flopping as he moved away and falling to the ground while he still dangled close to her. He pulled and fiddled with his arm, attempting to get out.
He didn't know what had provoked the reaction. Had the magnet done more damage than he thought? She was acting almost -too- emotional... as though he had broken up with her or something.
Oh god, did she think he didn't want her around?Â
"Aigis... please calm down..." he said. "I don't want us to part. I just don't want to see you get hurt. Please.... maybe you should call Mitsuru now. I think that the magnet might have done something to your programming."
He knew at that moment that it was the absolute wrong thing to say.
âUnderstood.â Unfazed, Aigis reached into Minatoâs back pocket for his phone, realizing a moment too late that it was easy to misunderstand the gesture. â-Sorry.â She quickly pulled the phone out and made to whirl around, so as not to face him, but had failed to remember the reason they were making such a desperate call in the first place. With her abrupt turn, Minato lay sprawled out, the side of his face in her lap, still helplessly stuck to her hip, and somehow the feeling from earlier, the inability to face him, was even more intense than before.
If she had to ascribe a word to it, she would choose âbashfulâ.
âI must confess something.â Aigis looked the phone over idly before settling her free hand into his hair.
She wished she could feel how soft it looked.
âIâŚdonât find this disagreeableâŚâ She mused, moving cool fingers against his scalp, through his hair, tracing the elegant slope of his neck.
Minato didnât say anything for a second. Was it possible for those cool, metal hands to be so gentle? He let his head lean on her legs, which felt nice and soothing on his incredibly flushed face and let her move her fingers across him for a bit more, feeling a bit like an animal being whispered to. Aigis certainly spoke to him in a way no girl ever had.Â
âI donât mind it either, Aigis.â he laid a hand on her thigh and let himself sink a little bit deeper into her lap. He paused, resting his head on her. âMaybe the call can wait a few minutes.âÂ
He stayed in her lap contented and pacified. Aigis had done so much for him. She was always there, and even this crazy night he had found himself literally glued to her side.
âAigis,â he said. âWhat do you think youâll do after the world is saved? I mean, what do you want to do?â
âMy highest priority is to be by your side.â Aigis answered with absolutely no hesitation. âI want to go where you go, and experience many things with you. However, it is a different feeling than the cameraderie I normally feel around the others. I feel as thoughâŚI could beâŚhappy even if yours was the only companionship I ever had.â
Her fingers trailed over his cheek. She could at the very least sense the fluctuations in temperature, and she enjoyed it: there seemed to be a correlation between her touch and the heat in his cheeks, the way it trickled down his neck and back to his ears. She traced over each spot in turn, slowly and deliberately.
âI would especially likeâŚâ Words found her again, suddenly, âI would especiallyâŚlove, if I could hold you like this again sometime.â
Minato sighed. He was incredibly comfortable here. Tired, but comfortable. Like this was where he was meant to be, and it was Aigis who was meant to be there with him.Â
For some reason a tear came down his cheek. âIâd like that.â he said. âWe should do this again. At least one more time.â
He paused. Then with his free hand he reached up and stroked Aigisâ cheek. âAfter this is over, after we have the free time, after Nyx is defeated, I promise weâll spend a lot more time together Aigis. Just you and me.â
Aigis blinked and touched a fingertip to the renegade droplet.
âIt appears your lachrymal glands are swelling. IsâŚsomething the matter?â Her finger traced under his chin carefully, âDoes this no longer please you?â
"No... no." Minato said. "Far from it. I'm really happy here. The happiest I've ever felt. It's just-"
Minato paused. What -was- it? Why was he... afraid?
Yes, he was afraid. The world was ending and he could die...
Even worse, Aigis could.Â
The realization struck Minato like jolts through his brain. He looked at Aigis almost imploringly as he grabbed her wrist with his free hand.
"Listen, Aigis..." he said. "Maybe it would be better if you... didn't participate in the battle against Nyx..."
âUnderstood.â Unfazed, Aigis reached into Minatoâs back pocket for his phone, realizing a moment too late that it was easy to misunderstand the gesture. â-Sorry.â She quickly pulled the phone out and made to whirl around, so as not to face him, but had failed to remember the reason they were making such a desperate call in the first place. "Aigis," he said. "What do you think you'll do after the world is saved? I mean, what do you want to do?"
Aigis gave a precursory glance around before standing and tugging the edge of her dress.
âWe are on the roof, in any case, so this shouldnât be a problem, as far as being seen is concernedâŚâ She gave a resolute tug, but only succeeded in completely exposing her leg to Minato-the dress had escaped from between the magnet and herself-
And the nighttime breeze certainly wasnât helping much.
âIâm sorry about this-â It was getting difficult to stand now-the magnet was causing some of her wiring to contract painfully, â-M-Minato,â Aigis wobbled precariously, âIâm going to fall-â
Minato worked as quickly as he could to move forward to catch her. Aigis was built as though she were a waifish young maiden and if she were made of flesh and blood then Minato would have been able to have kept her from falling no problem. Since Aigis was not made from human tissue, but from steel, wiring, and plastics, she was significantly heavier.
Minato put in a valiant effort to keep her from toppling, but his position and the speed Minato built up meant that Aigis had landed firmly on him.
âOwwwâŚâ Minato said. âAre you alright Aigis?â
He was pretty solidly pinned down and couldnât reach Aigisâ magnet from where he was.Â
So he was pinned solidly underneath the robot he had been making out with because he forgot he had a magnet in his pocket. It sounded like some demented cautionary tale about safe sex.Â
As far as embarrassing date stories went, Minato was pretty sure he had almost all of humanity beat.
He slowly moved his hand across Aigis, reaching as far he could to finally pull the magnet off but his hands simply ended up stroking against Aigisâ rear repeatedly. âSorry! Sorry!â he said. âIâm trying to reach the magnet I swear!â
âA-Ahh, Minato-â Her voice went uncharacteristically wobbly in response to the repeated attempts to obtain the magnet. They were in certainly a most precarious position, with her form shoved against his, their faces hovering close together, â-please, allow me-â
Carefully she reached back, taking his hand and manipulating his fingers with her own, guiding them towards and around the magnet, being very careful so as not to touch it herself-
However, she was so focused on avoiding the magnet that she failed to notice that her wrist had drifted too close to the watch on his wrist, and found herself unable to pull awayâŚ
âŚeffectively sealing his hand against her thigh. The inner workings of the watch as well as the proximity to the piezoelectric qualities of Minatoâs very bones made for a firm seal.
ââŚI believe at this point the issue is beyond our help.â Aigis pulled her lips tight. âWe have no choice but to return to the dorm and seek assistance. I would recommend someone other than the males-I believe they would ânever let you live it downâ, as they say.â She glanced at the sky. âThe time is 21:34. We are exceedingly late. Mitsuruâs displeasure may be unavoidable at this point. But perhaps we can appeal to her kinder nature.â Aigis smiled hopefully.
A shudder passed through Minato at the thought of Mitsuru's reaction jolted through his brain. Minato had faced Mitsuru's 'kindness' before and had no wish to be executed.
On the other hand, there was the hand that was stuck awkwardly to Aigis. He tried to undo the watch and pull his hand off, but to no avail. He was firmly attached to Aigis' thigh like some sort of highly polarized pervert.Â
"Ummm, Aigis.... we can't exactly walk down the street like this." Minato said. "Not without getting me arrested and having to explain some uncomfortable things. Maybe we should call her to come over here."
Minato would have enough uncomfortable explaining to do. "Well, you see Mitsuru-sempai, I was was making out with your battle droid and one thing led to another and-"
"Come to think, Aigis..." Minato said, unable to keep some of the dread from creeping into his voice. "Maybe you should call sempai instead.... I think she might take the news better from you."
And also won't beat you with a rat tail.

He slowly moved his hand across Aigis, reaching as far he could to finally pull the magnet off but his hands simply ended up stroking against Aigis' rear repeatedly. "Sorry! Sorry!" he said. "I'm trying to reach the magnet I swear!"
Aigis cocked her head, caught his gaze, and blinked-wasnât that was how one expressed confusion?- âIf you would not mind, could you assist me in removing it?â She lifted her fingers, her metal fingers for emphasis, âI would likely get nowhere with my endeavorsâŚâ
She could theoretically pull away again,
but she couldnât.
Aigis enjoyed his touch, perhaps too much.
"O-oh right." Minato said, his face reddening even more as he looked at Aigis' fingers. They were human shaped, though if you looked carefully, you could see where they shifted to fire off her machine gun ammo. He briefly mused on how much more dangerous it was to let Aigis touch him than it would for say Mitsuru or Yukari to do so.
And oddly he didn't care.Â
Aigis' oblvioiusness -willful or not- was not helping with the matter of the magnet, though. "Yeah, I-I'll just..." He reached forward and fumbled around, struggling to pull the magnet off. It felt much different from when he was exploring her in a heat of passion.Â
He was more aware of the taboo of what he was doing, and it wasn't anything so intimate to be pleasant. All of the frustration, none of the pleasure.Â
God he wanted to-
No! Focus!
That was when he jerked back a bit too hard and fumbled with the magnet as it slipped through his fingers and dropped to the ground until it decided to cling to Aigis again, attached to Aigis' thigh through her skirt.
"I um...." Minato said. "I... um, I'm really sorry."
Aigisâs eyes widened as he embraced her, spoke the very words she herself felt from the bottom of her-
-heart.
She hugged him so hard she almost forgot that she needed to hold back, at least a little. The fact that it had not occurred to her, that they were so closeâŚ
Aigis felt like kissing him again, but when she moved she found herself once again adhered to his chest.
âOh,â She said simply, before turning towards Minatoâs ear, close enough to where her breath would cover it, had she any, â-is that a magnet in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?â She pressed a quick kiss to his temple. âThat was a humorous joke.â
Minato face reddened and he gave laugh of surprise at Aigis' joke. Aigis' attempt at a breathy voice was flustering, but it was... well, it was adorable. Aigis was still new to human interaction and being sexy... well, it was a robot trying to be sexy.
"Good lord." he said, trying to distract from how deeply red his face had become. "First ninja jokes and now sexual innuendos. What's next? George Carlin?"Â
He looked down to see the fabric of his uniform clinging to her. "Oh right." he said apologetically. "I uh forgot about that. It's for this experiment."Â
He reached to grab the magnet but stopped when he realized where it was adhering.
It was right on her chest.Â
Minato's hand twitched awkwardly, caught between wanting to get the magnet off, the inherent inanity of the situation, not wishing to just grop Aigis all of the sudden, and also tempted to simply grab anyways.Â
"Ummm..." Minato said. "Should I... uh...."
Real smooth, you fool.Â
âNo, neverâŚâ The words came without hesitation of any sort. Looking back unblinking into his eyes, she believed it, and she believed he never would. She reached an acceptable conclusion and decided to share it. âPerhaps the appropriate idiom for this situation would be, âI am getting attached to youââŚMinatoâŚâ
She couldnât keep her lips from pulling themselves into a smile, and her gaze drifted to his own before swiftly redirecting to the vacant space between them. She needed to, she could not look at his mouth without wanting to initiate very prolonged contact.
âIâm sorry, Iâm not doing this because something is the matter,â Aigis wanted to assure him it was not his fault, so as to never be the cause of such a worry ever again, to never see it in his eyes, âI now experience a sensation of extraordinarily low inhibitions near you,â She rambled, âI canât-â Aigis realized she was still holding his hand to her face and turned, growing more flustered as her lips brushed his palm. She hovered between the words sheâd spoken and the rest of her sentence, â-help myselfâŚâ
She pressed her lips to the inside of his wrist affectionately and closed her eyes.
She thought the indelible desire to do what she was thinking would go away if she couldnât see him, but his image was vivid, perfect in her memory.
âAnd-â She searched his wrist for the words with her lips, â-I donât think I could pull away againâŚâ
Never, she had said. How dearly Minato wished that were true. He had led his friends into disastrous choices repeatedly, some almost taking his life. Briefly, his mind flashed back to one particular fiasco of a battle. He had been too slow, and Aigis was the one who pushed him out of the wayÂ
Then time was too slow, as Aigis looked at him, regret in her face. Sssssooorrrry..." she slurred as her systems shut down.
Aigis hadn't seen it but Minato went into a rage after that. The shadow had gotten a katana quickly lodged in its head and destroyed. That was the end of the adventures in Tartarus for the night, as a panicked Minato brought her back.
It was alright, Mitsuru assured him. Aigis could be repaired. Akihiko told him he made a natural error in battle, Junpei said that all's well that ends well, but the leader couldn't make mistakes like that, not when in months he'd have to fight Nyx, where one mistake like that could end the world.
But it wasn't the world he cared about. It was his friends. Chihiro, Akihiko, Keisuke, Junpei, and so many others who were so much more than the world to him.
And yet none of them carried a fraction of the weight Aigis did to him. He had said he loved her. He meant it, but at the same time he was frightened. Frightened of losing her, of a world where she didn't exist.
Aigis spoke up again, bringing him back to the real world. And much like him, he couldn't help himself either. That small kiss on his lips was like a jolt that kickstarted his entire body. He moved for her and simply wrapped his arms around her.Â
He couldn't bring himself to pull away.
"I don't want you to." He said, his voice sounding far more somber than he wished it to. "I promise I'll protect you, Aigis."
Wordlessly, she quickly reached for and clasped his hand, bringing it against her where her body saught him.
His open palm felt so good upon her shoulder, warm with his touch. She simply stayed like that for several long moments, and it even stretched beyond the point that she felt she needed his hand there.
In truth, all time would be too short for her, for him.
Especially him.
She brought his hand to cup her cheek.
She couldnât quite look him in the eyes, and even though she couldnât blush, she wanted him to feel the heat of his hand reverberating against her face, to see just how much he gave to her, the life he was always sharing with her.
Minato let his hand stroke her cheek. It felt so soft, a contrast to the rest of her body. Her face could make human expressions so it made sense that it was softer the rest of her body.Â
He leaned in to kiss her again.Â
Then stopped himself, suddenly. He looked at Aigis, and he didn't see any fear or anger or sorrow in her eyes. Those blue eyes which conveyed so much of her. Eyes far too beautiful and expressive to be that of a mere machine. Â If there were any resistance he knew he would see them there.
Even so, he couldn't help his hesitation. The way she pulled away from him, played again in his mind and he didn't want that to happen again...
"Aigis," he said, looking into her eyes. "did I do something wrong?"
foolishminato:
Minato spasmed at the unexpected but certainly not unwelcome touch. He gave a small hiss as Aigis sank into his neck, and the pinch and rush of physical and emotional stimulation and couldnât help but note even less blood was rushing to his head as time passed.Â
âTh-thatâs nice.â his voice said unsteadily. Hardly the most eloquent or romantic thing he could have said but true nonetheless. He craned his neck and returned the action by applying a kiss to her neck. In return he felt the cold metal of her neck. Aigis kept her physical affections up but he wasnât sure if she was recognizing it physically.
He wondered how to properly respond to Aigisâ advances. He loved to touch her and -oddly enough- the feel of her metal âskinâ excited him. Did she have the ability to feel things like that? He also thought of asking her about what she liked and dammit it was so hard to think straight with her chewing on him like that!
Did she even really have a sense of that. Could she⌠orgasm? Was she ergonomically correct? A part of him felt rude and invasive for thinking such things but his body was just screaming at him to do something -anything- to this beautiful robotic maiden who was obviously interested in doing things to him.Â
And since his brain wasnât fully working he had of course forgotten about the magnet he had in his shirt pocket from science class.
âI-I believe it is nice, too-â Her voice wavered, the butterfly in her throat fluttering from the proximity of his lips.
His everything.
Heat was building, aching throughout her extremities, her thoracic region, boiling through inexorably towards her throat, and she didnât know what to do for it. She felt disconnected everywhere-
-And yet, sheâd never felt quite so human.
She was about to ask (beg) for more, but an unfamiliar sensation suddenly pierced her: somehow, she was becoming adhered to Minato, and if it werenât for the way it seemed to drain and dull the sensation building within her, she might not have minded. Instinct took over and she pushed back, clutching the spot it had touched, shuddering, but was reminded that her hand was not enough. The spot between her shoulder and chest felt so wrong-
She looked to Minato imploringly.
Minato's eyes widened at Aigis pushing him away. She was grabbing at her heart, almost as though she were suffering cardiac arrest. But that was impossible... wasn't it?
After all, she might have been a robot, but things could still go wrong with her body. It was quite possible she wasn't functioning properly. As soon as he thought that Minato's mind immediately went to the worst.
What if he had done it.
"Aigis, are you alright?" he asked quickly. "I-I'm really sorry. I-I shouldn't have-"
Minato paused again. He looked away then back to her. Had he done something wrong? Had he hurt Aigis? Even the thought of doing so was torture to him. He had a hard enough time bearing the responsibility of throwing his friends into battle. He couldn't bear to hurt her like this.Â
"M-maybe we should go talk to Mitsuru if something's wrong, Aigis?" He hated saying this, he hated suggesting this, he hated that things had gone wrong, but he'd hate himself even more if he let Aigis get hurt because of him. "If you're not feeling right I mean... I don't want to see you hurt."
That sounded stupid even to him.
Aigis didnât technically need to shudder in response to his touch, his words, but at the same time she did-was this what one would call the state of being âdriven crazyâ? The physiological impulse she felt was to react-
-and then the words on his lips reached her, filled every recess of her being (she let them willingly). The words blanketed her body with an inexorable desire to touch and to be close to him, and so overwhelmed she was by the revelation, found herself truly unable to stop trembling with wide-eyed, wet-eyed joy.
She didnât need to cry.
She neednât doubt Minato.
No one need doubt Minato, least of all her, and least of all, right now.
She had simply never imagined it possible for him to harbor the same affections in return-
Yes, affection.
That was what she felt, in the very simplest of terms.
-but now she knew.
Aigis flung her arms around his shoulders and held him close.
She shouldâve remembered that Minato was a very remarkable person, a very precious person, a person capable of many extraordinary happenings.
The impulse-the desire to protect him was one she took up willingly.
She turned her face to find herself comfortably close to his neck, his neck so slender and delicate, life-giving. She kissed it deeply.
He who had taught her to love.
