gojo let go of geto. honestly, it was simple: as soon as geto said that he chose the other side, satoru tore out his heart with his hands and got rid of the whining feeling of inferiority. he was taught from childhood that there is no mercy for enemies, and satoru quickly absorbed this information, so... he never missed geto.
(all of the above is a blatant lie)
satoru wanted to forget geto, but he couldn’t. everyone was forbidden to enter the geto room - gojo was there every day. he looked at the suguru uniform folded into a careful pile on the chair and waited. he hoped that one day he would walk into a room and in place of emptiness a geto would suddenly materialize. he will sit, certainly swing his toe in the air and finally say:
— hey.
geto, a proud asshole, will never apologize, but gojo will read it in his eyes. so everything is ok. the uniform is also probably waiting to be finally put on the shoulders. gojo understands it's loneliness, so he takes it into his closet. geto's uniform hangs next to his, and he's glad that at least their clothes are next to each other. but geto doesn't come. gojo flips through his notebooks, looking at the clear lines of the hieroglyphs, watches the lines form a name.
geto suguru.
suguru.
gojo fucking misses him. he admits this out loud when talking to shoko.
— geto left japan.
— for what? — gojo lazily stirs the tea in his mug.
— he is looking for new curses.
— ah. well, good luck to him.
— satoru.
shoko never called him satoru. gojo turns away from her, not wanting to face the tired gaze across from her. gojo is the strongest, but he is the main weakling now.
— i miss him. — he says finally. the words seem bitter and foreign. gojo wonders if geto felt that taste on his tongue when he swallowed the curses.
gojo wants geto to burst into his room again and start grumbling that it’s stuffy and dusty. he wants geto to pretend that he wanted to remove this horror mess, turned down the music on the speaker and finally stopped next to the bed on which gojo would lie. gojo would have moved aside and caught the cold-as-a-corpse geto in his arms. the geto would probably shake. he's always shaking because the number of swallowed curses made him sick.
at least that was the case before geto left.
perhaps he's used to it now and doesn't feel nauseous anymore.
maybe now someone else is holding his hair while he vomits black viscous liquid in front of the toilet.
maybe.
gojo doesn't know and hopes he never finds out.
(another lie)
