flowers sprout from my skin

my face etched with dirt and tears

Will you take this from me as well?

my flowers are not in the right spot

do they cover too much or too little?

I am growing but not to your liking

my flowers are dying

no longer are they my own but they are for your pleasure

my flowers remain covered so you will not be distracted

their beauty is too great to be seen

how silly of me to think I will become more than just your property.
