About this project:

- This is an anthropological effort to collate artwork showing how people self-represent their own culture in digital media. It is a wholly serious effort meant to uplift artist voices and collate this trend for the long term. - Underrepresented peoples and countries are given priority. I'm trying to make sure every country worldwide has at least one work of art collated. - In the case of non-tumblr content, the art caption is passed along unmodified. This project in any posting or linking makes no political statements or endorsements of views expressed by the author. - The source code for both the miku.earth map and the dashboard from which I manage the queue are available on github.

Notes on the queue: - The queue is frequently shuffled. Apologies if I respond to a submission and then take a week to post it! - The queue posts approximately every hour - The queue is semi-automated using a method to cross-post from twitter: that said I do look at every single work of art uploaded - Including the second 'reserve queue', this project's queue has around 2,000 entries
