Hello! If you have just a moment I would love to take this chance to say something that is very important to me. I recently learned that every year over 3 million healthy cats and dogs are put down to avoid an overflow in shelters while breeders and puppy Mills continue to bring more animals into the world. Despite the health problems that commonly come with "buying" a cat or dog people seem to still be doing it.. why? If you want a specific breed there are plenty of rescue groups that are breed specific and have plenty of loving pups looking for a home. I just want to encourage anyone who is getting a pet or may in the future to please consider your local animal shelters. Last May I went to our local animal control, I rushed out of work to get there as soon as they opened because for some reason I knew I had to be there. As soon as we were allowed near the kennels I made eye contact with a little red dog with fluffy ears and knew I would take her home that day.. it truly was love at first sight. Luna has brought so much joy to our lives and never fails to make me smile every day of my life. This dog is only about 10 months old and as sharp as a tack! She was easy to train and always a joy to be around. She loves cats, dogs, kids and anyone else who comes her way! She also likes to talk and howl to tell you what is on her mind and I wouldn't have it any other way. My point is, I found the perfect dog to fit our life at a dog shelter and you can too! There are so many amazing animals sitting in cages right now just waiting for you to come let them make you happy too and they won't be able to wait forever! Please Share!
