It’s not like the visions were not mutual. Oh yes, indeed — there was indefinitely something he shared with the pig-tailed brunette. But perhaps, just what was that? Why did he feel such a need to care for her … even though, he was sure, she’d never return the favor? She who turned a cold shoulder to him, felt nothing but discomfort and perhaps annoyance, she who seemed to shrink at the tall sight of the young man. Oh, but he couldn’t help himself. There was a stronger sense of big-brotherness he felt for her than even Gardenia. Strange, considering that Cody had her own big brother to look up to …
But Tabasa was strange in general. So there really wasn’t any reason to call anything he thought strange, because he as a whole was strange.
Like when Cody was cooking, for example. The fire of a stove … there was something sickening to his stomache about it. Or seeing her handle some greens with ropes, or even worse, knives — it brought of sense of … defeat to him. Like he had done something wrong or wasn’t able to do something, and he couldn’t come back to it. It surprised the young man to see that Cody was compliant and had allowed Tabasa inside her home — he didn’t hesitate, and sauntered inside.
“ … You have a nice house … you’ve always kicked me out before I caught a good glance at it, ” He remarked, eyeing some herbs neatly placed on some shelves. His words seemed genuine, his face falling from it’s usual mischievous smile, almost looking melancholy or lost in his own thoughts. “ … Hm. Anyways … I must ask … have you been experiencing some weird, like, flashes of scenes, or senses for things or people you wouldn’t usually sense ? ”
Was there even a reason for Tabasa to be here? Why did he want to come in? Maybe this wasn’t the best idea she’d ever had. Letting someone she didn’t trust nor care about into her abode. However, her abode was also a shop nonetheless and Tabasa was a paying customer.
She reluctantly closed the door to her shop, leaving her without an escape. What was she doing? Letting someone who was clearly dangerous into her house. Why was she doing it? Maybe it’s because she felt like they had something in common. Well, she knew they had something in common. Something that shouldn’t be said nor seen. Something that she knew no one would understand.
She almost grinned to what he said about her house. Though the way he said it made her feel a little guilty. Nonetheless, what Tabasa said after that had caught her attention. Flashes of scenes? Yes, Cody clearly had those. However, the fact that would remain was if she was going to tell Tabasa or not. After all, Tabasa was simply untrustworthy.
“Uhm.... No, I’m not, why would you ask?” Cody acknowledged, with a shaky voice. Cody was never good at lying. Which made her hobbies a little bit harder to accomplish. Well her old hobbies at least. Though she wasn’t ever caught for them so what was the big deal?
