It was another day of drawing, reading, and just lounging around. Days like this are always welcomed, as they were nice and simple. She never felt rushed, nor worried about her situation. It was odd, not worrying about what she was doing was ‘Wrong’ and upsetting the other. 

Kantera was calming to be around. He never seemed to express any form of anger, lest not towards her. Although its been awhile, she still had her moments of doubts if she was doing this whole thing wrong. 

She tried her best not to ask too many questions, but she couldn’t shake off this feeling. Was she doing something wrong? If so, what? She made sure to be as well behaved as possible, to always be thankful, and to take her medicine whenever she fell ill no matter how icky it tasted.  This is how a daughter is supposed to act, wasn’t it?

The confident smile on her face made it hard to tell whether she was playing unintentionally rough or was actually trying to hurt him. Typically during Russell’s weird errands that involved fighting monsters, Kantera was the scariest fighter out of all of them. In an attempt to get him to show more resistance, her palms pressed harder on his neck.

“ C'mon, this ain’t like you! You’re much more fiesty, I know that!  ”

it's not really a ship but 👀 the character dynamic between kantera and boaris

Boaris + That sweet sweet Ass-kickin that he deserves is 100% OTP. It’s canon, my dudes. 》THIS IS SORTA SPOILER-ISH TO THE GAME《 I tried to make it vague, but the read more bit can cause spoilers.

☆ Kantera hated Boaris the moment Boaris opened his mouth. In that split millisecond, Kantera thought of several different ways to get rid of Boaris.

☆ Kantera learns early on that he can’t insult Boaris. Any comment about Boaris being filthy, atrocious, disgusting, ect. will not faze him.

☆ There were many times where Boaris have low-key threatened Kantera. Kantera, on the other hand, just smiled/chuckled as a response.

☆ Boaris is taller than Kantera and used to loom over him. Key word: USED to. Kantera figured out a way to turn his head just right in order for his horn to hit Boaris.

☆ Even though Boaris/The Thing can’t technically die, they came pretty close to it after Kantera.

Im sorry I don’t have much, because this basically boils down to “Local’s filthy boar-man gets what’s coming to him.”

This last bit is more-so my own two cents about how Boaris feels about Kantera but-

He knows Kantera is a threat. I have a headcanon that the more Mari believes that Boaris is actually in control of her Dreamworld, the more power he has to manipulate it. Because of this, he has to make it seem like he’s in power even when this man-boar is standing on thin ice. Multiple times Mari/y was very close to breaking the loop on her own, which is why he bullshits his own rules. He knows that if Mari gets a ‘helping hand’, there’s no way he could win. This is also why he tries to bully/intimidate visitors that he comes across. Tbh, every time someone new comes into Mari’s dreams boaris takes a risk. If things go his way mari sees that no one can help her/ other’s will hurt her, if not this hell loop will be done for. Since Kantera is definitely someone that’ll help Mari and can fight back, Boaris knows that he is in hot water. Thus he tries to separate them whenever he can.

Seeing how his eyes widened at her response, she chuckled softly and leaned a bit closer to his face with a smile.

“ You’re so thoughtful, Kantera. Besides, you can kiss me anytime! Kissin’ friends are normal, right? “

[ ♰ ] - Silence proceeded Dogma at first, for the simple fact that he’d never seen Kantera in such a state, the fright in his eyes seemed so unlike him. Thankfully despite the shock of the situation Dogma managed to compose himself quickly, he could still be his serious, reassured self in this situation, he had to be for Kantera’s sake.

With that in mind he turned on his side to face the other male. “The Church is the safest place I know, so long as you’re in these walls the Lord will watch over you and I will do my best to protect you…. However, I don’t want to lie to you and say nothing can hurt you here.” OK, so maybe that wasn’t very comforting, but he carried on.

“I say that only because nor myself or the Lord can you protect you from yourself and your own thoughts, we can only guide you.” He looked to the side slightly, still adjusting his eyes to the darkness before looking back at Kantera. “So even though I’m not sure what’s troubling you please take my advice,” He put a hand on Kantera’s shoulder, if only to try and help him grasp some sense of the reality around him. “You need to bring yourself back to the here and now. You’re safe in the church with me, and wherever you go the Lord will be watching over you.” His hand squeezed slightly before he reaffirmed the point. “Rest assured, you are safe.” - [ ♰ ]
