Iâm pretty sure Iâve never seen Gihun happier than when he saw Ali after they reunited in episode 3.
Iâve slowly fallen into the SanGihunAli pit after my current rewatch of Squid Game. Oh Il-nam is only included because of his presence in this scene. Maybe if he and Sangwoo got hugs from Gihun, we would have a less problematic ending?

Its tied for me between Stonathan and Stoncy. Sometimes I want to see two doms ganging up on Jonathan together and read a sexy story [made all the more exciting about them having to hide their throuple relationship in a town like Hawkins and shenanigans ensue, but on the other hand sometimes I just want to see Steve and Jonathan alone together some sexy moments ofc, but mostly its about emotional stuff working through their trauma, supporting each other, being romantic working their way from enemies to lovers. Steve redeeming himself and fighting for Jonathan's love over the years even though Jonathan can't take his eyes off Nancy.
Sometimes I just want a Steve POV storyline where hes in love with Jonathan and looks up to Nancy idolizes her while its confusing for Steve and the audience cause Nancy is his ex and Jonathan was supposedly his enemy even though Steve's been falling in love with him since the moment they met when they were kids. Its messy/complicated. It makes it more exciting.
It really depends what ''meal'' I'm in the mood for that night I guess is the easiest way to explain it.
Stoncy can be sad, deep, and emotional too, but mostly its 'sexy time' and fun stories. While Stonathan is deep, thought provoking and more slow burn. Theres some fun/sexy stuff too but mostly slow burn, can be sad/heartbreaking until you get to the end and they get together and all is right with the world. Stonathan is worth the sadness for the result and is much deeper and character building/character exploration and develop put into it.
But sometimes you just want to un-wind and don't want all the depth at the moment so you want a fun/silly/sexy fic instead. You can get that with either stoncy or stonathan, but its easier to find in the stoncy section. I like to travel down both 'roads' all the time to see whats there. So I really can't decide.

Jonathan was smoking weed you absolute goober, you're making it sound like he was doing hard drugs; the criminalization of weed stems from racism btw. And claiming he was addicted is such a stretch considering we never see him high again after season 4.
It's also strongly implied that Will didn't experience abuse from Lonnie because Jonathan was protecting him. I'm not saying being in a house with an alcoholic wasn't harmful, but simultaneously complaining about it while also ragging on the brother that was shielding him is a bad look.
Joyce smoking is unhealthy, but in no way did it impact her relationship with Will. And it was the 80s, everyone smoked. Jim smokes too, does El get sympathy for having a parent who smokes? Or is it only Will we have to feel bad for?
Why are we always making things up to enter Will in the struggle Olympics?
Thank you! I love Will, but there is no sane reason for people to be distorting the truth so that people will feel sorry for him more than they already do-bashing other characters in order to do it. Especially when its bashing THE Jonathan Byers of all people who makes it his mission in life to prove that he loves his little brother more than anyone else does. And hes got strong competitors since there are plenty of people that love Will.
This 'Jonathan bashing' thing that a lot of the st fans do, is absolutely out of control and has been for a while now. Jonathan was shielding Will from the abuse and protecting him from Lonnie and it was made clear in the show multiple times that Jonathan would do whatever it took to protect his little brother from any harm that came his way. This is the person who at the age of 16 picked a fight with a demogorgon to get his little brother back and was willing to sacrifice himself to do it-didn't anyone notice that? He and Nancy knew they were on a mission that might have ended with neither of them coming back but they didn't care cause thats how much Will and Barb meant to them. It's just lucky that Nancy was there with Jonathan or he would have done it by himself and would have died and its lucky that Steve was there [and vice versa since Jonathan also saved both of them too].
And I will never understand why the st fans act like weed is a hard drug especially when plenty of them have admitted to smoking it themselves and PRAISE and worship Eddie and Steve for doing it, but when Jonathan does is hes somehow a demon spawn? What? I will never understand the logic of these people.
And Jonathan immediately stopped smoking once Joyce was going to save Hop in S4 and Jonathan was in charge and responsible for El and Will's safety. He didn't smoke after that.
Joyce smoking cigs also isn't that big a deal either. These people just go out of their way to try and amplify everything and make it seem like a bigger deal than what it actually is-and its insane considering theres very real trauma that Will went through but instead of focusing on that, lets bash Jonathan for no reason one of the people that loved Will most, one of the people Will loved most. Jonathan was the most important person to him-remember how Will singing their song in the UD is what saved him from Vecna in the first place until Hopper and Joyce could get there and Jonathan still doesn't canonly know that and he hated himself for years blaming himself for Will's disappearance and trauma.
Anyway sorry for the rant. OP said it better than I could but I needed to vent.

I just want to remind everyone that Hawkins school colors are: green and yellow/or gold. So why tf were they wearing orange graduation robes?
There is a lot that makes sense about conformity gate theory, but this was a big ORANGE fcking sign! You know how in shows a character will be in a dream or something and they way they notice its not reality is because there are subtle little things that aren't right/that they're off. And its subtle [like the color of a graduation robe] but should be obvious to the person in the dream [they've attended Hawkins school all their lives-they know what their school colors are].
A lot of season 5 doesn't make sense but ...especially the finale. I just haven't seen anyone point this one out yet. Chrissy's cheerleader outfit: confirmed green and gold/yellow.
And you're telling me that after centuries of fighting with the Hawkins townspeople-they're all just cool now and accepted? And the town shrugged off the thing with Eddie Munson? And Steve is straight/mostly straight? None of that makes any sense. Especially the Steve thing-he is the gayest creature I've ever come across in all my years. The obsession with Nancy/women was classic over compensation and wanting to be normal and accepted in a town like Hawkins where they demonize gay people.
