“We are talking about grandma’s famous cookies, this can’t wait” She said jokingly “ I’ll go with you, maybe i can help you in something”

She started walking towards Slytherin’s common room, she knew where this was thanks to her friends but she didn’t particulary liked going there. Every time she went there she felt some weird looks on her which she knew were probably part of her imagination.

“Are you sure? I mean, it’s a pretty nice place but you hate the Slytherin common room. I remember you told Hugo how much we creep you out. Which I am still a little put out by.” Tugging the trunk behind her, they walked in the kind of crowd that surrounded them.

Looking at the door, Lilu used the big knocker to knock on the door and then whispered the password. “You really don’t have to come on inside, you know. I can manage these two on my own.”

“Yes, let’s go” He started walking towards the castle.

“ I guess it was pretty stupid of me, i should have looked for Hagrid first. I should have done that. Anyway, how is he?. I haven’t seen him in almost a week now.”

“Obviously you should have. I mean, where else would I go? The Forest is scary and Dad says it’s not a good idea to venture into that place unless you’re mental or in detention. Even then, never without Hagrid.” Even if the Black Forest was free of creepy crawlies and things that went bump in the night, Lily was never above preparing for imaginary disasters.

Chuckling as they walked arm in arm, Lily Luna shook her head. “You really should. Just because he comes home every Christmas does not mean you ignore him for the rest of the school year.”

Lily Luna was bored. It was not a common occurrence since she always had the bullies to avoid, practises to go to and classes that needed to be attended. But every now and then, the dullness and monotony managed to seep into the youngest Potter’s veins, and she would find herself like she did right now; up on a branch, blowing bubbles from a makeshift bubble blower she found as a knickknack in Diagon Alley that one time.

Her vantage point allowed her to look at everyone who passed through the courtyard, students and teachers alike. If she stopped swinging her legs around and sat absolutely still as she blew bubbles, the Slytherin could swear no one would be notice. Absolutely no one. And she liked it that way; besides, trees were way more comfortable than an average couch.

But when she spotted Lorie making her way in or out of class (probably out, hopefully!) Lily’s limbs took life of their own, and on reflex she yelled out her name from the tree branch. “Hey!”

16. How does your muse see themselves in 5 years? In 10 years?

In 5 years, Lily Luna sees herself graduating from Hogwarts and enrolling straight into St. Mungos to become a healer. Or train to become a teacher at Hogwarts.

In 10 years, Lily Luna sees herself getting married, probably settling down successfully, in her personal life and professional life.

Albus jumped.

“You scared me you little brat” (in a loving way) He said looking angrily at his sister “I have been looking for you! Do you have any idea if the things that went through my mind during?”

He sighed. Al knew that it wasn’t lily’s fault but her was just so terrified that he didn’t know what to do or what to say to her. 

“I’m sorry” He said and hugged her “I just got scared. Let’s go back inside and tell me what were you doing, okay?”

“If you would have checked with Hagrid, you would have seen me there drinking tea with him. It was nice, catching up with him again. And it was so warm and toasty in there.”

Hugging him back, it felt good to be in a familiar embrace. Even though Lily Luna wasn’t much of a hugger, it always felt rather nice getting hugs from her brothers. It reminded her that she wasn’t always on her own, and that she could still count on them.

“We should probably get back to the castle. I know Professor Zabini won’t care, but Professor Harmon might.”

Rose hugged her back smiling. 

“I think that’s the best idea i heard in years but the cookie thing.. i don’t know. You did say they were for me so..” She laughed “I’m not sure if i’m going to give you some of my cookies”

Her cousins knew Rose’s eating habits, of course she was just joking but sharing food wasn’t Rose’s best ability, but again, with Lily it was different. Lily could eat the hole pack of cookies and Rose wouldn’t mind.

“I am pretty smart in most things. I know they are for you. But did I mention she made a tin too?” Rose smirked wide, a wicked glint in her eyes. “To each their own. I’m not sharing mine, and I don’t even want yours. But if there’s a peanut butter cookie in there, then it’s mine. I call dibs!”

Nudging Rose with her elbow, the younger girl got to work with tugging her trunk again. “Give me ten minutes to get down there and get to work. Unless you can’t wait, and want to come along with me.”

Lily Luna Potter has arranged her life in such a way that she never sets herself up for any kind of disappointment. She is content with the way her life is run, and frankly, nothing is ever sad or happy.

Although when James decided to move out of the house when he was pursuing his career made her sad.

Lily Luna Potter is afraid of most things in life, but her biggest fear would be spiders. Like her uncle Ron, she hates spiders. They are gross, ugly and so eww that she can’t even talk about them without cringing.

Albus was desperate. He ran half of the school looking for his sister. He asked some of her classmates and friends if they saw her but nothing. Nobody knew where Lily was. 

He could hear James’ voice screaming everything that came to his mind at Albus and that was the least of his worries, he couldn’t  stop imagining what could had happened to his little sister.

Like he couldn’t find her in the castle he decided, and oh how he wished he was wrong, to look for her in the forbidden forest.

He couldn’t imagine what could she be doing there but he had no choice. He walked slowly with wand in hand  into the forest looking everywhere.

“Lily” He said “Are you here?”

Lily Luna had spotted Albus running towards the forest from the window of Hagrid’s hut, where she had come for catch up and tea, along with a big tin of cookies that Grandma Molly had sent. With love, good wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Calmly stepping out of the hut, she took slow and cautious steps before her brother actually run off into the forest. That idiot, what would she be even doing in there? Then again, Albus didn’t really know that Lily Luna was scared of the Forest.

Following his trail slowly, she had her wand high above her head, whispering Lumos Maxima, till she could see the back of his head. “Albus! Right behind you!” Their yelling scared some of the crows away, their squawking and flying making the Slytherin girl jump.

Rose looked at her cousin with a little bit of relief. She knew that Lily was not happy about what happened but she felt a gratitude towards her cousin when she didn’t try to torture her or doing anything that could harm her actually. She deserved worst but if this was true, her cousin didn’t seem to agree.

“You are not mad at us?” She said “I will understand if you are. i know how important Christmas is and that we always spend it together. I also talked to James and he wasn’t in his normal mood.” 

She loved Lily so much, sometimes even more than she liked Albus, and that was saying something. Albus was Rose’s best friend but there were things she couldn’t tell Albus, you know, girl stuff and she had Lily for that. Lily was one of the persons Rose knew she could trust .

Lily Luna smiled, a happy shrug was passed and a hug given. Right in the middle of a crowded hall full of apologizing Hufflepuffs and muttering Ravenclaws. “Pssh, I could never be mad at you guys! I mean, mom and dad were a little sad, James was pretty sad. But hey, summer break I get you guys to myself!”

Honestly, Lily Luna could have been way more happier staying at home. Coming back to Hogwarts did mean spending time with her favourite teachers and friends, but it also meant spending hours in torment and the constant fear of something bad happening around her. At this rate, the only thing that kept her from screaming out and giving up was Quidditch. (and the probable popularity that came with being sister of James Sirius Potter and daughter of Ginny Weasley-Potter and Harry Potter.)

Letting go of Rose, lest she suspect something was up with her, Lily Luna gave her a big grin. “How about I unload all of this into my room and then we could go hang around in the courtyard with cookies?”

The Great Hall was full of students that had just arrived back from christmas break. Rose saw many known smiling faces in the crowd but also students she had never seen before, she told herself not to feel guilty about it, Hogwarts is a big school, you can’t know every single student, can you?

That was not the only thing Rose was feeling guilty about. That year she decided not to go the burrow to spend christmas with her family, she knew they were furious at her and of course at Albus who decided to stay with her. Her parents and of course Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny made it clear in their multiple letters.

She was looking for any of her cousins, she wanted to know if they were mad too. She kept looking around until she saw Lily Luna  close to a group of Hufflepuffs.

“Lily?” She said a little scared of how her cousin was going to react.

Lily Luna Potter, fresh off the train and lost in a throng of Hufflepuffs; now that wouldn’t sit very well with the other Slytherins, would it? They’d probably call her soft like they always did. She tried to make her way through the crowd, almost tempted to be loud and perhaps, physical.

“I’ve burned books, don’t think I’m afraid to try and burn people.” She muttered under her breath. She was angry and she was homesick. And sad that her parents weren’t happy. Of course, with only two third of the family present, who would be? James wasn’t, and neither was she.

So when she heard Rose Weasley’s voice, the first thing that came to her mind was, “Grandma Molly sent cookies for all of you. It’s in my trunk.” It was instinctive, and that was just plain sad. But Lily Luna wasn’t one to hold a grudge; brushing away the hair from her face, she smiled at her cousin. “Hello to you too, Rose!”

Molly lounged in her train compartment, legs thrown up lengthwise on the seat.  She’d already changed and gotten her trunk stashed away, so there wasn’t really much else to do until the inevitable stream of cousins and siblings started coming through the compartment.  Maybe she could get in a short nap before everyone got settled - after all, they’d had an early start this morning.  She just hoped one of her compartment mates had the wherewithal to wake her when the trolley came around.  She was a sucker for pumpkin pasties, but really anything sweet would do.

She’d just started nodding off when she heard her compartment door slide open for the first time.  Cracking an eyelid open, Molly took in the sight of her cousin Lily, looking a little frazzled.  Knowing that her nap time was up, she sat herself up, though her legs still stayed flung across the seat.  “What’s up Lils?”

Lily Luna wasn’t one to usually interrupt, but she hated riding alone on trains. And while the wave of homesickness was going to last till she saw the gates of Hogwarts, she really didn’t have time to deal with the impending loneliness that had engulfed her.

She knocked and then made her way into familiar territory; with her cousin Molly. The sleeves of her sweater were pulled up to her palms, fists clenching their ends tight as she sat down on the opposite side of the girl, shrugging. “Nothing really. I was just...---just giving you company.” Despite the nervousness the Slytherin felt on the inside, there was no hint of it on the outside. A smile in fake confidence followed the words, but Lilu wasn’t able to make herself comfortable just yet.

“What about you, cuz? I think I heard you snore all the way on my way here.”

Sometimes he could avoid this, you know? Pre-empt it.The warning signs were all there, all of them pointing at a neon fucking sign lit up like the Fourth of July hollering ’LOOK HERE DUMBASS’.

His head ached, spun ‘round and ‘round like a fucking happy merry-go around, a carousel where all the horses were replaced with multiple versions of him screaming at himself to open his damn eyes. But he didn’t and the world slotted itself off to the side at a 90 degree angle and took his stomach with it. Took his feet and swept them out from under him.

The first signs were spots; either pinpricks of black dots swarming his vision and assaulting his fucking sensibilities, or balls of static that hung in the peripheral of his eyes. The second signs were the feeling of weightlessness, of disconnection like his fucking hand wasn’t actually his, that his feet didn’t belong to him and when he moved, felt like he was inflated with helium. Up and up he’d float and not come back down, save unless he got fucking ate by ducks or threw himself at a fucking plane screaming his goddamn head off.

Griffin lurched as it felt like he was yanked from his body and there he was, standing there like the world’s fucking worse traffic sign in the middle of a blurred sea of people. All of them fucking minding their own business, happy as could fucking be walking around him. They split off, groups forming and breaking up again, again and again, sometimes without one or two members or with a few others. But then he felt something garbled and rubbery slot over any other sense, pulling everything taunt as his focus shifted and everything became overlayed. Made him feel fucking dirty, it did.

He came to when he fucking ate shit. Slipped right the fuck out of his chair and onto his fucking face, bonking his fucking noggin against something wood because it made this pathetic twock. “Ow! Fucking, fucking shitbags. What the fuck??” Where the fuck was he? Oh, that’s right. Middle of fucking nowhere!!

Pulling himself to his feet, Griffin snarled at some poor kid also remaining behind for the hols too and felt at his forehead. “Sonvabitch, way to fucking go hollow-head, way to fucking go. And what the fuck are you looking at?” He snapped.

Lily Luna silently watched the boy go through his myriad of emotions. Tucked against a corner, she peeked lightly and watched the torrent rage on. It was like watching a movie in slow motion; she didn’t even need to know what was going to happen or how it was going to happen to know it was happening. 

It was as if she was torn in two; to help or to stay and watch? To go snap him out of this little thing he seemed to be having (probably a meltdown, but what did she know? She never watched anyone have on before), or to just observe from her corner and then move on. 

Oblivious to her moving feet, she came closer. The curious little cat. With black boots inching closer, and the boy’s bellowed swearing and screaming, Lily Luna Potter winced as if being physically hit by the words. She was never cussed at, at least not that loudly and with that ferocity. Her roommates used the words lightly, and back at the Burrow, it was all in good fun. 

But right now, the words caused the little curious cat to move backwards again, hugging the textbooks even closer to her chest like a form of protection. She needed it, and she inched away slower and slower. “I’m not looking at anything. Except for you, who has a little big bump on his forehead.” Her lips pursed into a thin line and she stopped moving. 

“It looks red and it’s pulsing a little.”

Christmas Letters || Kiara & Lilu

My dearest Kiara, 

How is winter break? Does it feel good staying back at Hogwarts? Are you having fun? Did you meet any cute boys? Oh my goodness, I don’t even remember how long I’ve been here and I’m already forgetting that it’s been like two days since! 

Here, at the Burrow, I’m having so much fun! James is back for the holidays and the house is flooded with people. Ugh, so crowded but so warm I tell you. It’s like living in a sweater in the middle of winter! How grande is that? (Aunt Gabrielle taught me that.) 

Anyhow, I’m not making this very long because I’m also sending you grandma Molly’s famous Christmas cookies and I bet those are more amazing than written words!
