Captured Memories [ Closed // Event ]
Mahiru was sitting in a local cafe. She had a small cup of black tea and a slice of green tea cheese cake drizzled in pineapple syrup. The delectable treats were not the main subject of interest, but what was in her hand? That definitely held a lot of importance.
She worried about why she couldn’t remember the events of this city, besides some very fuzzy things. The recent wave of amnesia that hit her had definitely put her in to distress, yes. What wasn’t taken away though was her precious camera. This definitely was a key to helping her regain her memories with ease. Unfortunately though, it looks like she hadn’t taken many pictures in this city yet. Besides a couple landscape shots here and there, there were a few set of pictures that had caught her eye.
A girl with long red hair… Holding a notebook… And some of these shots had her and this mysterious person with her? They smiled in some, looked like they were doing something fun in others… They were close, weren’t they? Not like she knew how close, but if she had to guess, she’d say relatively. They even took a couple silly pictures and hugged in some. Despite her memory loss, a smile still appeared on her face.
Mahiru glanced up at the window before her for a sec— Wait.
The redhead glanced from her photos of this supposed friend, then a girl walking down an opposite sidewalk from her.
It’s her!
The photographer didn’t even think on her next action and just sprinted out the cafe towards the girl. When she had finally caught up with her, she panted every now and then as she ran too much to her liking.
"You…! You look familiar…!" Flashing her camera’s gallery of pictures towards the other. This must’ve been quite impulsive, in fact, very rude of her to do, but she was going to scold herself for that later. Right now, she was desperate for answers.
Everyone was so...forgetful lately.
It was almost amusing actually! And very confusing. Ryouko's frequent memory wipes guaranteed that she forgot everything but her beloved in about ten minutes if it wasn't immediately relevant to the conversation or event at hand.
Her memory notebook--chock-full of everything of relevance since her stay here and before--was under her arms like always. She hadn't even noticed that the scientists had concocted an experiment since it was no different than her own disorder.
The voice that heralded her suddenly startled the poor girl and she sprang back with a squeak, bringing her notebook up to hide part of her face. The pictures being shown to her caused her red eyes to stretch wide.
"H-Huh? Is that...Me?"
An itching feeling prickled along her neck and she flipped through her journal quickly, slender fingers brushing past each page. A girl with redhair...
Oh. There, taped to a page, was a picture of this very girl. She immediately deduced that she was suffering the same amnesia everyone else had.
"Koizumi-san? Are you all right...? I-It's me, Ryouko!"
