1. Are you named after anyone? Not a person specifically. My name comes from a butterfly species. 2. When was the last time you cried? This morning when my mother explained to me the plot of a Christmas movie. Yes. 3. Do you have any kids? Nope. 4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? I AM sarcasm. Too bad most of the times people don’t even recognize it at such, and forces me to explain whaty I was trying to say. 5. Eye color? Greenish brown.

6. Scary movie or happy ending? Happy ending since I can’t take scary movies.

7. Special talents? I used to write and sing a little. Trying to get back on writing since my voice has become super unsteady. 8. Where were you born? Tuscany, Italy 9. Do you have any hobbies? Sounds basic, but listening to music and reading. I’m into over analyzing books to research character creation. I’m not really fun at parties, yeah.

10. Do you have any pets? Yes, 5 of them. They’re guinea pigs, named Sora (aka the dad), Riku (aka the mom), Morfeo (”Morpheus”), Luna (”Moon”) and Castagna (”Chestnut”).  11. What sports have/do you play? I’ve played volleyball for half my life and had to stop because of an injury. Then I moved on with shooting, but even that became impossible for me because I couldn’t hold the pistol with my hand. I’m still very invested in sports, though.

12. How tall are you? 163ish cm. 13. Favorite subject in school? English. It was the only thing I was good at. 14. Dream job? It used to be traffic warden when I was a child (lol), now I only want a job. Whatever job is fine.

I’m back on my bullshit and I’ve been thinking about if the Commander hadn’t come back after the Departing - either unable or unwilling to. And the possibilities that opens up

Maybe during the fight with Batlhazar, as Dragon’s Watch and Aurene go toe-to-toe with the God, a spirit joins their fight - maybe they can’t talk, but the Commander won’t just abandon their friends, their family - maybe they stop a devastating blow? Maybe they’re not there at the end of the fight - gone after a brief moment

Or maybe when Eir and Snaff step through that portal there’s a third - no one quite sure how to react; and then they’re gone like Eir and Snaff. Maybe they comfort those they left behind

Or worse. When Dragon’s Watch go to end Joko; he smiles, says that he’s brought someone to “even the odds”, someone “they have a bit of a history with, hope that doesn’t make it awkward” and steps aside to reveal an Awakened Commander - maybe the Commander can be freed after Joko’s release, a sobbing reunion as they have to learn to live as one of the Freed Awakened; maybe they’re forced to cut down the Commander; fury at Joko unbridled and unhinged like nothing ever seen before

Or maybe Aurene brings them back in a new form, a crystal champion in the form of a Skyscale - the Commander was always more dragon than anything else. Gorrik yelling over the comms “guess who’s reincarnated” as a familiar looking pudgy, puppy fat, kitten-tail-in-air tottling along hatchling follows him around the lab and eats everything it shouldn’t - watching as their friend grows anew from a tiny ball of squeaky noises to a champion of an elder dragon

I can’t quite capture the pure pudge and adorableness of ‘cant quite walk’ puppies and kittens but they totally have that desert frog squeak

The Joko one is absolutely awful though, you realize that means nothing had been done with the Commander’s body?! Or that Joko somehow managed to steal the body while he was in the Mists….OR BALTHAZAR PARADED WITH THE COMMANDER’S BODY ON A SPIKE?!

Also since Joko’s fight is the Commander + Braham that would mean we got Braham alone to face that the Commander, who he has started to realized he had been a bit hard on is dead and awakened at that? OUch my heart….

Those are some interesting and terrifying ideas - maybe they Dragon’s Watch don’t find a body, they find a battle field and Tiami’s sobs over the intercom, maybe Joko finds a body - more charred than anything he’s seen, and tars it back together (wasting a few lesser awakened in the process)

Or maybe they bust out a coffin like ‘I’M BACK FUCKERS’

But oohhhhh the PAIN of Braham having to fend off a Commander - even if he’s not on his own, he’s got that extra dose of pain. I like to imagine them all having to go down there as a group, but they have to split into groups of ‘taking down Joko’ and ‘keeping the Commander at bay, without hurting them’ (results may vary)

Though, I’d like to say, wouldn’t it be likely that the Commander pulled a Koss on Joko? Taking each order at the letters and doing everything they can to hinder Joko, all while snarking/ trying to distract him

“Greet your friends” *curt nods towards dragon’s watch. Can’t identify a burned corpse if the burned corpse doesn’t speak*

“Now, fight!” *leaps at Joko.because the damn lich didn’t precise who the Commander should fight”

“Shield” “What do you mean?”  *Joko get hit* “I meant you take that hit” *Commander attacks Joko again*

They very well could do! Just be very literal, or take the worst iteration of each instruction possible till Joko’s second guessing every order! By the time Dragon’st Watch arrive Joko’s got a migraine and is half tempted to just, fling the Commander out a window

or if you’re like me and can’t not pump out angst, he’s been keeping them in a box for this special occasion - shit, maybe they snark so much he’s like ‘STAY THERE, DON’T MOVE’ till DR show up to limit damage

The character who represents the commander in all of our Living World Season 4 trailers is very popular and has become something of a heartthrob! A few people have wanted to make him in game, so here are the details. ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ

His profession is engineer and he’s a holosmith. His height is just below max with the first masculine body shape. He has the first Elonian face and the second hairstyle added with Path of Fire (found on the fourth and eighth pages of their respective categories if you’re using a Total Makeover Kit). His beard is on the last page of the facial hair category.

His skin color is Dark 6, his hair color is Black Red, and his eyes are Leaf Green.

All of his facial parameters are set to the halfway mark on the slider except for those shown in the second image above.

His clothes are dyed with Mudmetal, Sunset, White Gold, and Midnight Red and he wears all Sunspear armor and weapons.

Honestly I’m a lil surprised how niche of a game and fandom Guild Wars 2 seems to be, especially on tumblr, given that it’s extremely accessible

The base game is free, there’s no sub fee, not even an optional one, and the vast majority of content is just given to you if you have the latest expansion - new episodes every 3-4 months with massive maps and weapon/armour sets, and they just. Give it to you

It has GOOD storytelling? It’s their main focus and it shows? Characters have issues, they’re allowed to show emotion, the plot has been building in a continuous, meaningful way for the last 6 years with rising action and foreshadowing, and the characters change and even age as it goes

Two ladies in the main cast have been in a real on-screen relationship for about 4 years, not to mention a constant array of LGBT background characters who pop up in each new release. Another main character is written as autistic. Of the two dozen or so major and minor human characters added over the past 2 years, every single one has been a POC

You can make choices in the story that change the world around you every so often, encouraging you to roleplay

Species designs are great, the soundtrack is fantastic, the environments are gorgeous

YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING EVER you can even just download and try it for free if you want then drop it and pick it back up as you please
