Ah, she feels that the name has been said while wandering about although nothing image wise comes to mind. “Sadly, I don’t understand this game your world has. It looks interesting though.” Serinaty simply stumbled upon this place after all. “I think remembering both sides is better than neither. It’s good to treasure it all.”

“Well then, you’ve talked to the right Egyptian.” He smiled at her, “I know the game really well, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. My people practically made the game.”

“I’d love to meet that person if possible someday.” They sounded like a good friend to have if they helped shape the person before her. Serinaty wondered what they were like. “Atem, do you retain all your memories of the thousands of years?” 

“You may have already heard of him, he is rather famous. Yugi Muto, the King of Games?” He smiled at the memory, “He did so much for me.” He looked to the other after a moment of silence, “No, unfortunately, due to how I became like this, I lost my memories, but I did regain them... the good... and the bad...”

Dimension? Who even uses words like that? She shakes her head, pinching at the bridge of her nose before exhaling. Does Egypt not have squatters? Are they unfamiliar with those who clearly have nowhere else to go? Yuffie clears her throat, tries again.

「 Where are you from? Or did you come from? This place has been unlocked all week– I thought it was recently abandoned. 」

And just because the owner has returned home means she must cease her actions: she finds bottle water and fruit, tosses one of each to the “owner,” and chooses to slowly peel banana before slowly taking bit from the tip. Even if she’s had access to food, it doesn’t mean she takes advantage of it: rather, she savors every bit, hoping it’ll last throughout entire day, if she’s lucky.

「 I can’t say I have much here, but I could pay you back if you want me to. Since, y’know, apparently you live here again. 」

He just sighed, going to the fridge, opening it and getting a soda bottle. “I told you, Egypt. I got here a couple days ago. I just woke up here and now this is my life.” He turns around, “And I grew up in an area where trespassers were kicked out or used otherwise.”

When he said ‘used otherwise’ he meant that they were jailed or made into servants... or in some cases... used in those twisted Ka experiments.

“And you don’t need to pay me anything.”

Now doesn’t that make her feel special to be let into a circle of knowledge. Serinaty hummed as a few different thoughts came to mind although only something pertaining to the situation. “I’m glad. You’re quite comfortable to converse with, Atem.”

He chuckled, “I have been told that before, I was someone’s confidant a while back, and he mine. We were very close, sharing everything, never hiding secrets from one another. He helped shape me to what I am today.”

She heaves a sigh. “It really is.” The fox wanted to already be over the hundreds so she can continue to climb the latter. “So you are much older than you look as well. Do you tell everyone that secret?” Serinaty lightly nudges him playfully. He’s been alive so much longer than anyone she’s known, it’s very respectable…and it made her envious that she was so far behind.

“Oh no, it’s not a common occurrence in this world to live as long as I have, not that you can call what I am living. I would likely be locked away for ‘safety precautions for myself and others’. Only people who know are close friends and, well, you. Other than my court from my days in Egypt, you are the oldest being I have knowingly met.”

Is that so? Oddly enough that made this one happy. “It is rude to ask a lady her age you must know,” the fox covers her mouth as she laughed softly. “I honestly don’t mind telling you. I’m over nine hundred years old slowly creeping twords my first millennium.”

He smiled at her, “The first Millennia is the longest, I lost count myself. According to the history books it’s either three thousand... or five thousand...” He lightly chuckled, “You tend to loose count and forget when your soul is trapped in a golden puzzle for multiple centuries.”
