Hello. I'm Victor Van Dort -- yes, son of William Van Dort, of Van Dort Fish. Yes, the one who said he married a corpse bride and saw the afterlife. And the one who was involved in the unpleasantness surrounding a certain Dr. Bumby. Yes, my life really is this odd. ((OOC: An AU version of Victor Van Dort from Corpse Bride, crossed with "Alice: Madness Returns." After the movie, his parents sent him to Dr. Bumby to forget "that corpse girl," leading him to get mixed up in the events of Alice Liddell's life in "Alice: Madness Returns." He's post-game. Uh, yeah -- that took a LOT longer than I was expecting. Blame me:

Being perhaps a little overambitious in how many AUs I put on the new account

Having a full-time job with a commute that makes updating a little tricky sometimes

And being very easily distracted, particularly on weekends

But a chat with a friend last night made me realize that, basically, if I didn’t put up those replies I had drafted NOW, I was never going to do so. So replies to all the threads I was actively in the middle of before my leaving this account are now up at The Valice Multiverse! (Barring a reply for @londons-finest​ on her old account -- I know there’s another reply for the Love Paid In Blood RP past my last one, but for the love of everything I cannot find it. Please let me know either on thevalicemultiverse or victorluvsalice where the reply is or if you even want to continue the thread!) Please let me know ON THAT ACCOUNT if you want to continue or not, as I have not been checking this account for messages and will probably not do so at any point in the future. OOC: My Apologies For The Silence (HIATUS NOTICE)

I’m afraid I spent the weekend in a very-much-not-RP-ready mood thanks to one of my usual partners posting a rant on her personal blog. A rant that left me with a knotted stomach all weekend because certain key points I disagreed so strongly with that I didn’t feel I could, in good conscience, continue interacting or RPing with this partner.

The problem is, this partner has been part of my RP landscape for a while, and Forgotten’s history is inextricably tied with her characters, to the point of his current living situation being a direct result of that history. So now I am faced with the eternal question “what do?”

Well, to be honest, I’ve been considering consolidating Forgotten Vows and Butterfly Boy into one blog for a little while now, since it might be easier on me to have just one RP blog and Butterfly Boy in particular is moving into more of a multiverse situation with different versions of Victor. In light of recent events, I think this is the path I’m going to take.

So, for now, this blog is going to be on hiatus while I get what I want to get squared away. I will try to salvage what threads I can from this account! I will let you know when he’s moved and what’ll be happening later in the week. Thank you for bearing with me.

As the girls travel through the town she gives an evil eye to every man looking their way and every “lady” working the streets. The Grand City of London ladies and gentleman. Though it was most likely just her being cynical as always…

“I doubt it would work, but I bet it would be terribly uncomfortable,” Alice remarks, rubbing her throat. “I don’t think I’ll be volunteering for that one, science or not.”

Alice sticks close to Lilith as they head to the butcher’s. There’s not too much attention paid to them, happily -- though there is one fellow who’s gaze lingers just a little too long on her backside. Alice joins Lilith in shooting him a death glare. “I’m starting to think we don’t need to go to Hardwick’s for pig’s blood -- there seems to be plenty walking around the streets,” she mutters.

Alice sniffs and presses her face into Lizzie’s shoulder. “Still. . .I can’t help wishing things had gone differently.” She glances up at Nebby. “Thank you -- thank you so much for bringing her back. . .”

Lilith snorts, flipping her hair as they continue out the front door. She wrinkles her nose at the smell of smog. Just another day in the glorious city of London.

“Though if push comes to shove Alice, he’d make an excellent meal, wouldn’t you agree~?”

"I don't think anyone would shed that much of a tear if I drained him dry, upcoming philanthropist or no," Alice remarks as they get outside. "Upcoming arse more likely in my opinion. Though I'd probably be sent to the hangman. . ." She rubs her neck. "Can you even hang a vampire?"

"I don't think it would be pleasant," Victor says, shuddering. He starts down the street. "I'll go see if any of the local bobbies are around, and meet up with you at the butcher's."

"Stay safe," Alice calls after him. She rocks on her heels. "If the one who bit me tries anything with him, I swear to God. . ."

“Oh dear…” Sounds like it went as poorly as possible to Victor. “Well, he’s certainly not friendly to you and yours now…” He looks from the bloodied handkerchief back down to her leg. “We’d best get you to a doctor. I assume your city down there has one.”

“Right, right. Oui, there is one.” Clarrusa straightened her back, then immediately hunched forward a bit, gripping onto her leg. Ignoring all pain, she began to walk towards the door, before leaning against the door. With an anxious chuckle, she turned to Victor. “Eh heh…little help, mon amì?”

Victor grimaces as she limps her way to the door. He'd been more concerned with her head wound at first, but now it seems her leg was worse than he first thought. "Of course," he says, hurrying to her side. "Do you just need someone to lean on, or. . .?" He doesn't have any objections to carrying her if he must. It might be easier given his height, in fact.

She then gazed up and looked around, somewhat admiring it. Then again, Susan does have the tendency to admire things and places she’s never seen or been to.

"Well, I came on shortly after Bumby's demise -- goodness, about five years ago," Dr. Wilson says, surprised. "How the time does fly."

"Tell me about it," Victor agrees. "So much has happened between then and now, too. So many of the original children grown and gone. . ."

"But now to people who love and care for them," Dr. Wilson nods. "Despite its previous reputation, parents seem more than willing to adopt from us. I'm very glad of it."

Nebby gasps and whips out her phone, switching on her camera and pressing the record button. Bonejangles and Tim set aside, just so the two sisters can have some room.

Victor too hangs back, figuring Alice won't want him underfoot for this. Alice is biting her lip, hands clasped together so tightly in front of her her knuckles are white. "I never thought -- I figured by the time I died, you'd be long gone," she whispers. "Moved on to wherever it is people go. . .oh, God, Lizzie. . ."

Lizzie doesn't even have any words. She just flings herself forward and envelops her sister in a hug. Alice returns it tightly. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. . ."

"For what? Surviving?" Lizzie squeezes her. "Oh, I was so worried about you. . ."
