Our 3Doodler Start Pen is used frequently in our home. Gift tags, napkin rings, hearts to give her friends, and various other creations. I love that she can use templates or her imagination to create her own designs. The low-heat Doodler pen makes it completely safe for her to use independently. Hallelujah! Now I love playing with her, but sometimes momma needs a break!

Aquabeads!
For years we have loved growing and playing with water beads. We pour them down gutters into various bins and through funnels and tunnels on a water wall. Sometimes we just grow and shrink a small portion of them repeatedly. We use them for spooky sensation bins at Halloween and children have to reach into a covered bin that is filled with squishy slimy water beads and plastic Halloween trinkets.

Staycation Adventures continue!
Kate has LOVED our staycation trips to local parks and sights! She wanted a repeat this week. We grabbed a friend and headed out for another day of fun and exploration!
Today we explored monuments and memorials in Virginia: Iwo Jima, the Air Force Memorial, and Teddy Roosevelt Memorial Park.

Staycation!
I have lived in Washington DC or in the immediately surrounding area for almost 20 years. There is so much to explore in this area! From numerous National and State Parks to museums, from the Zoo to National Monuments, from private gardens to historic cities. So much to do and see!

Tonight we had our Back to School Night. I love our school and I trust the leadership in place. Butā¦Iām always so eager for Back to School Night. I want to see the classroom, see the class set-up and arrangement, inspect bulletin boards, ask questions, and see any evidence of my child thriving and learning.

Summer: Week Four
I LOVE summer! I donāt mind the heat, I love sandals and dresses, splashing in the pool/ocean always brings lots of giggles from our daughter, longer days, catching lightning bugs, and the heat is a perfect reason to indulge in extra ice cream! I LOVE SUMMER!
We had a staycation this week. We explored some of our state and national parks and enjoyed a neighborhood 4th of July Festival.

Summer: Week Three!

Back in 2006, my husband and I took our first trip to St. John. St. John is the smallest of the 3 U.S. Virgin Islands, which are located in the Caribbean Sea. We feel in love with the island!

Last week we had a blast in North Carolina with family! Grandma came back with us for some Washington, DC fun! We took Grandma to one of our favorite spots: Great Falls National Park. This gorgeous park on the Potomac River boasts various trails that lead you back in time with breathtaking views of the Potomac River and The Falls.
