The semester is over!

Well I'm still wondering where he wants me but the last semester of my final year begins in a month. Before then I won't be sitting still. Instead I will be going to Rise Up (a youth conference) the same one a year ago that I decided to pursue religious life. Then right after I fly to Nashville to spend a week and some days with the Dominican sisters there. To be honest this Nashville thing came up very suddenly and it seems really crazy but the sister adorers aren't emailing me back especially after I had to change travel dates on them twice. Well it's not like they haven't been emailing me back. I'm not being that persistent either because well... I have no money to get to Italy anyways. At the Nashville convent, I will also be give the opportunity to live like a postulant for a few days which I think will really help me going into the new school semester. I'm focusing all my energy on this now and trusting that if he calls me out he will have something for me as well because I'm a bit wrapped up right now in back up plans. (chiropractor college admissions and dental admissions) For the time being though im just slowly detaching myself from things and hoping and praying that he's got me this winter.

Totus Tuus Camp

 Being on mission and living in community has really shown me that 1) I love praying together - especially the liturgy of the hours punctuating our day and 2) it is not as impossible as I thought to live with others. I think the years of living with my very loud younger sisters and the year that I was able to live with other girls at the Opus Dei dormitory for female students in my town has really prepared me for this mission. There are some times when conflict resolution may seem extremely impossible and reading the situation is even more difficult but as the summer progressed it became easier and easier.

There have also been many blessings that came from giving of myself as a catechism teacher and camp counselor. Closeness with God was one. Another was finding peace in where the Lord had placed me and where he wants to take me.

That’s about all I can share right now but I hope you can read this and find encouragement to follow His plan for you. Go where he calls you and be who he wants you to be and He will equip you and bless you

Hm so I've ran into a bit of a problem. I wasn't to go visit the sisters adorers of the royal heart in December when I'm done school but they will be too busy that time, instead they've asked me to visit earlier. Now my summer job doesn't let out until the end of August but it gives me a week before school to go visit.. This is waay too hasty! That's only 2 months away and what if when I visit I loose motivation for finishing my degree?? I don't think it's wise to visit this early but if anyone wants to weigh in lemme know. My other option is just visiting when I graduate next june

I think I've found where I want to be?

In January I began having random motivations to practice my French skills (I completed grade 11 French but have forgotten much since then). At the time I thought it was because the Lord was leading me toward French Canada. So when visiting Ottawa I spoke with sisters there but still, it didn't feel right.  Next I was seriously considering the Felician sisters because I felt the Lord guiding me to the apostolate of teaching after years and years of myself believing I wanted to be a doctor... But it turned out that was just the voice of my parents that I made my own.  Onwards I moved to the sisters adorers of the precious blood by mistake. I was trying to click on another order on vocations.ca but I miss clicked. What attracted me to them was adoration and singing. I usually sing to pray. The campus chaplain at my university once told me after one of our monthly Adorations that when I sing to Him in the monstrance it is Jesus as the sacrifice. Therefore my voice becomes a comfort to him on the cross-- the cloth soaked in wine when he said "I thirst". That information made me fall deeper in love with the small service I do during adoration and has made adoration of the blessed sacrament my favourite means of prayer after the mass.  Because of this I was very set on the sisters Adorers of the Precious blood. Especially their red scapular. The scapular I saw as a sign because long before I came across the sisters, in my mind I though if I ever got to design a habit the scapular would be red for His blood. One night to test if I was becoming  too attached to the bright beautiful red scapular I offered it up and asked him what colour? Without skipping a beat the colour blue appeared in my mind. I didn't want to accept it at first because the only blue sisters I knew were the sisters of life and I didn't believe I would fit well with them. Eventually I came to terms with it and prayed the "I will go wherever you want me to go, do whatever you want me to do, and say whatever you want me to say" prayer accepting the outcome. Finally, it was a YouTube search. I was searching the sister Adorers of the Precious blood and farther down the search was music from the institute and the sisters. I clicked to listen and didn't even realise immediately who I was listening to. After I searched online and I was just so surprised... The blue... Blue everywhere! The adoration! The apostolate! All of these were so in line with where I thought He wanted me. But there was still one thing. I don't speak Italian. I told God I was willing to learn because I really wanted to be here and then upon further research on a girl's blog post about her family friend's vows, she explained who these sisters were and that they spoke French!! That was just the best to read! I couldn't believe it!  TL;DR - - I found an order in Tuscany that seems like the answer to my prayers: the adorers of the royal heart of jesus sovereign priest.

I'm excited. Two girls and I are going to visit the Franciscan sisters of St Felix this week. Please pray for us to be attentive to the holy spirit during our visit. Hello, Happy Easter.

Two posts ago explains why I haven’t been on tumblr in a couple months.

One beautiful thing I’ve learned that many have communicated before is pain like many things doesn’t last forever.

I sprained my knee twice playing soccer. The second hurting more than the first. The merciful thing is once pain is gone, its gone. Receptors are done being stimulated, the tendons repair and grow stronger- we move on. 

The man from the last post is gone, we’ve moved on.

Here’s an Easter poem for you, dear reader:
