A story about a monk and a unicorn lived in my head for some time, and now I finally did something about it. Decades ago my child brain was damaged by The Brotherhood of the wolf, and well, I love creepy monster horses, so. How about a region being haunted by a mysterious creature that kills people it sees as impure, in its own interpretation of good and bad. And no, it's not a unicorn, no matter what the witnesses say. It's a fae that takes the shape of a pure creature from human tales to test and punish them the way it sees fit (creepy horse fae, yeah, maybe a kelpie of some twisted kind?). And at some point it meets a young monk, and looks like the creature listens to him? At least when he yelled at it to stop chasing another poor soul the creature listened. And now the poor guy is followed by this creature, discussing human and fairy morals, theology, ethics and whatever else, anything to keep its focus away from hunting people. The creature is clearly amused by these conversations, and very, very interested in this man👀
And yes, I kinda made the guy a young Giulio Sabbadin? Because h e y, young Merab Ninidze.
