On this day in 2015, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, my journey towards Catholicism began. Six years later, I am 12 weeks pregnant with our first little arrow! We found out on Father’s Day that God blessed us with this child on our honeymoon and we are absolutely overjoyed and grateful to Him. We can’t wait to meet him or her in February 2022. We love you, little one. Deo gratias!

Hello!

It has been a very long time. I hope you all are doing well!

I just want to check in! I am well, just a bit tired 😅 I am here to ask for your prayers. This next month will just be a lot. I am graduating next week and I have to prepare for my finals. 

Also, we are getting married in just 36 days! Please pray for our final preparations and for our future marriage. You are in our prayers as well!

Be sure to check out my Linktree for updates. I am on a general social media hiatus now just because of finals and moving prep, but I am usually the most active on Instagram, Twitter, and Wordpress. I plan on returning to YouTube this summer as well.

Moving to WordPress

Hello!

After prayerful consideration and discussion with the TCM page admin team, I have decided to become mostly inactive on Tumblr.

This was a difficult decision since this is where I first started years ago. I am still leaving my page up for archival purposes. I might check in once in a while but the best way to reach me is email, Facebook, Instagram, and the contact form on my new WordPress page!

Traditional Femininity

This is both going to be a vague blog and an outright call out post of how myself and some other members have acted on here.

The first thing I want to start of with, being the most important and if you only read part of this, let it be the stuff before the cut, is an apology to @tradcatmaria. I don’t know her very well (we haven’t talked in a long time until recently) and so I wasn’t comfortable bringing up mild concerns I had regarding her relationship. Really, I’m a nobody online who is basing this off a very small portion of what I see through the internet. It is certainly one thing if I were more involved, and had gone to her, but I didn’t. I saw a post about concern for her and her views and mentioned it. While I may still have my feelings on the matter, Maria knows him much MUCH better than I do, and she knows herself as well. We are the same age and if some rando online made a comment about someone I was dating/engaged to, I’d be pretty upset too.

But this also brings up the fact that a lot of people were commenting and making posts about her, when she had largely no idea about it. How can we call ourselves Christians, or to follow Christ, without first following what is taught us in the bible, primarily the writings of Paul? To go to our brother (or sister) and bring it up to them, and only after they refuse several times to clarify or change their ways, is it proper to bring things to the public. And even then, I hardly think this applies to “online” publicity.

Under the cut is a general reflection on the catholic/christian community that I have witnessed since before the initial tradcatfem debacle, and if you feel like I am cherry picking your words, it is because these words have been said by other people before you, or I myself have said them whether on my blog or privately. It is a reflection of me being angry at myself for allowing myself and my friends to act this way without stepping in with good sense or prayer. If you want to talk to me, feel free to do so, but talk to me, like I say in the post, personally. Not in any public manner. The reason why only tradcatmaria was tagged was because the first part directly pertains to her. The second part is for the catholic community as a whole, and this is also the reason I did not go directly to the members that feel it is about them. Because it isnt. It is about the tumblr catholic community and more specifically myself.

If you really think that someone is in a dangerous relationship, ask them directly. Message them directly. Going public with theories and accusations does nothing and only does damage if you have zero evidence. It’s just spreading harmful rumors. If someone is actually in a dangerous situation, this approach can make things worse as well.

Don’t make these kinds of accusations if you don’t have the information and haven’t spoken one-on-one with the person involved.

This does not show genuine concern. Don’t make a post if you haven’t even talked to the person. As she says in the video, we need more one-on-one connections.

Spreading gossip to your friends is already bad, publishing it on a platform where it can potentially get hundreds of views in a few hours is even worse.

Upon further consideration, I have decided not to do this video. My page has four admins and then I have my own personal advisor. The page admins have access to all of my messages for the TCM Facebook and Instagram. The advisor and admins don’t see a problem with how I post things and they can see all of the feedback on those websites. The issue with clarity on Tumblr is not an issue everywhere else even though, since I often share from Instagram, I am saying the same things. On other platforms, the issues that are on Tumblr don’t exist. My posts are generally understood everywhere else and if something isn’t clear, people just message me and it’s not a problem. Because of this, I don’t think a video would really be beneficial. It isn’t universally needed when it’s much easier to handle this differently
