Galen flicked his hood down as he stared at the dathomerian "I've heard a great deal of you from my master...I have decided to free myself of the darkness" he bowed in respect to maul

“Had you been Sidious’s apprentice as well?”

Maul’s expression remains blank, but something behind his eyes changes as he murmurs, “You are fortunate to have any sort of memory of who you were before the Sith took you… or even to have been someone before you became a Sith.”

Maul stiffens ever-so-slightly as he takes in the holo-image.

“I… faced this being before. The Sith who replaced me. He was… created by the Force itself… I barely escaped with my life.”

He sits beside Galen and closes his eyes.

Maul narrows his eyes.

“You may… if he allows it…”

Spybot floats over to you as Maul watches, clearly expecting Spybot to refuse. Instead, Spybot settles in your lap and begins purring as you pet his head. Maul’s expression appears slightly confused and insulted, but he makes no move to take Spybot away.

Maul tastes the soup, then looks at you with… not quite a pleasant expression, his face is still blank, but he appears more relaxed.

Maul takes the platter and tentatively nibbles a cookie. His eyes widen slightly as he tastes it, and he quickly eats the rest. He pours himself a cup of tea, holding it in front of his face as if hiding a smile.

“These are… satisfactory. Thank you.”

Maul scowls in a particularly catlike way, making you wonder if he’s doing it on purpose. He tightens his grip on his saber.

Maul’s golden eyes snapped open, the former Sith coming to his senses in an instant. He looked at Omega with a questioning expression.

"You were shaking in you're sleep...I-I was worried about you" she softened at the zabrack before pulling a sword like hilt...from were she'd found his saber...."what is this....I've never felt...connected like this"

Maul sat up, trying to stop trembling.

He looked at the saber she held with a curious expression.

“Could you be… connecting with the Kyber crystal?”

"Maybe?....I mean ...all clones are partly mandalorian " she tilted the hilt "wait...wait ..is this the darksaber?!"

“This had not occurred to me before. Your ancestors are from Mandalore, and perhaps the saber senses that.”

Omega nodded sitting up feeling the weight of the saber in her hands "its....hefty....easy ....feels natural..." rubbed her thumb of the artwork on the hilt
