JK; needed to dial up the energy. I caught my first glimpse of "Tommy" (the film itself) early one morning before school (7th grade). Eric Clapton as a strange sort of high priest, wailing on his Les Paul (with the cherry sunburst finish) as he processed down the aisle of a church, leading believers to kneel before an icon -- the Madonna (Marilyn in the iconic white dress)... What about that doesn't scream "yes"?! The Who's "Tommy" is one of my personal Top 10 most influential albums.
