"Is there something I should know?" - soccer
Meme; Soft Angst
He leans back on his elbows, perhaps more comfortable than he ought to be in her office. She looks irked by his ease, brows knitting into their signature scowl. He could probably anticipate her every reaction, act out a little one-man play of their interactions just to let her know he’s got her pinned. Sorted out what pulls her frowns and what makes her bite down grins and one of these days, he’ll coax a smile out of her too. A proper one that isn’t chased with a huff.
...one of these days. Today she only leans into her frown, voice sharpened with frustration as she prods a gasp out of him. ‘Again?’ “Sorry...” And he is, didn’t mean for it to happen. The same muscle, the same injury, just weeks out from the last one.
‘Is there something I should know?’
The pointed question, like they both don’t know why: he’s been reckless, and not in the ways Coach would approve of. “I think it’s better I keep the details to myself.” And then, because he truly cannot help himself: “Don’t want to go making you jealous.”

❝ life is too short. do what pleases you…while you can. ❞ reynold speaking to both satya and spencer
Meme; Witcher
“Spoken like a man.”
Incredibly, they say it in unison. Spencer aloud, Satya under her breath. But she knows Spencer hears her, sees it in the upward twitch of her lips. She waits for Reynold to react as the rest do. Furiously defensive of their privilege, willfully blind to the fact that the world doesn’t share it.
But he...smiles? No, that can’t be right. For a moment, Satya forgets herself and openly stares, gawking at the ease with which he falls into their rhythm.
––––- Fairly said.
Fair? He’s right, but ––- he’s also...wrong. They aren’t being fair to him. Each hoop he jumps through (admittedly, the first several were hardly off the ground), the higher and fierier they make the next. And he glides through them all with an ease that makes Satya’s chest tight with selfish worry. Spencer is only a few paces away from satisfaction. For all her guard, she’s softening to him. She brings him up in conversation, unprompted. And it isn’t with complaint. She gives him her smiles ––- the true ones Satya used to claim a monopoly on.
How long until the wedding? It can’t be more than months left...Where Spencer and Reynold’s joy grows, Satya can only see the looming heartache of parting. A part of her is rotting, blackening with dread.
Do what pleases you...What pleases her is selfish, impossible. A dream beyond what she’s allowed to hope for, so misplaced it’s laughable. But she can’t bring herself to laughter, can’t follow the banter that settles once more between Reynold and Spencer. They’ve found a pace of their own; she feels herself lag behind and fall out of step.

"I don’t like that anyone would die to feel your touch." - sparvati
Meme; evermore
All her little games...to make Spencer feel jealous, to make herself feel better. They sting like shame against her cheeks. She’s never wanted to step out of her skin before, peel back the glittering facade and wash off someone else’s lipstick stain and start over. She’s never ––- gotten it all wrong before.
This is where she delivers her apology, because she’s lost the game and made fools of them both in the process. But if she doesn’t have Spencer, she does still have her pride. Lodged solid in her throat, the only thing that feels real enough to hold on to between her little lies and sloppy schemes.
“I thought you liked competition.” What a superficial read, what hollow words to throw back at her. She knows Spencer deserves ––-more. And that knowledge bleeds through her voice, makes it wobble with emotion. “Isn’t that what you always wanted? A prize to win, a ––- a trophy to show you beat out everyone else?” Her eyes burn in her desperation to make the points land, to tell herself it’s all –– fair. It was a game, someone had to lose...but nothing about the look on Spencer’s face makes her feel victorious.

"Can you walk?" - spames, an HP verse
Meme; Injuries
It’s harder on two legs, but “––- yes.” He grinds out the last word and sees it does nothing to ease her concern. “I’m fine.” That even less.
The Order is bound to each others’ secrets, but even among them, the Marauders have managed to keep the solution to their furry little problem unknown. Spencer’s sudden appearance in his path poses a greater threat than his wounds, and to more people than him.
“What are you doing ––” A pause, a huffed breath, and another futile attempt to step past her. “––– skulking around the woods at midnight? Shouldn’t you be –– haunting a graveyard or…something?” He tries to infuse his words with the taunts they reserve for each other, but it’s bloody difficult when he can still feel the claws tear through his thigh. The memory of it stings deep as the cut itself, burning at the edges of his skin. The wildness in Remus’ eyes, the fear that made him look more boyish than he’s ever appeared beneath moonlight.
He only needs to reach the flickering light, just ––- the edge of headquarters, the very border of the spell that promises sanctuary. And he’s certain it’s getting closer, growing in his vision, blurring at the edges…
–––––––––- James…James!
Someone says his name and it takes another moment to realize that someone is still –– annoyingly –– Spencer. She juts a bracing hand out against his chest (one he’s loathe to admit helps hold him upright). “I can’t walk because you keep getting in my way.”

Meme; Tension
🪑 : >my muse is ‘ forced ’ to sit on your muse’s lap ( due to a lack of chairs , faulty seatbelt , etc . )
He watches with quiet knowing as she weighs her options –– like they both don’t know she’s just trying to justify it for everyone else’s sake. Scan the room, scowl, huff at the indignity of it all. He knows this routine well enough.
As expected, she moves toward him just as soon as the sigh leaves her lips. She perches on the arm of the chair, her annoyance lodged firmly in the slim space between them. “What?” Hissed back at her, cutting under the words from the hedge witch at the head of the room. “You could have chosen a more comfortable seat...don’t think the rest of them would have been surprised.”
@luridtruths
I saw this valid tiktok that explained that the outfits to the yule ball SHOULD have been ugly because it’s a high school dance and looking like a clown is practically a rite of passage...and while I fully agree, this still doesn’t excuse the Patil’s outfits. Even 14 year-olds know better than that.
Anyway I love the edits and fanart of the characters in couture, but this was the NINETIES. Give me robes inspired by the the Dillards catalog.
Let me tell you a few things about regret…There is no end to it. You cannot find the beginning of the chain that brought us from there to here. Should you regret the whole chain, and the air in between, or each link separately as if you could uncouple them? Do you regret the beginning which ended so badly, or just the ending itself?
