copy pasting/editing my morning discord rant bc the longneck update is fine but missing something to me:

i feel like to avoid controversy/insensitivity they end up giving the longnecks like zero flaws. and ik its meant to be descriptive but i wish more scenelike paragraphs were written to make the point rather than just list everything. theres so many species specific details u couldve added to avoid feeling like "this is just a mix of xyz human society traits"

what gardening tools accomodate their hoof hands? cooking involving a lot of smashing/cracking bc of their hands. good hearing but awful vision except peripheral. unique vocalization cues depending on what region theyre in. WOOL. WOOL!! LOOMS TEXTILES BUT THEIR OWN WOOL making them strictly camels when they could be more ungulates like goats/sheep i literally thought they were goatlike

giving the sentient anthros animal traits would not have been a negative but in fact a necessary detail to avoid human comparison

now to elaborate: its literally fine, just a bit toothless for my liking. i feel like a lot of details about beastclans can already be gleaned from just literally looking at them, so personally i just dont get a lot out of it being "officially" said. im hoping the later ones will interest me more, or as a whole they come together well. i am not tagging this on purpose, no intention of hate here just my 2 cents. im also not fully familiar with how the beastclan lore was before this, so i cant comment on improvements
