fotzige Musik? what is that?

i must confess i have no idea about music theory. but because i listen to so much music and have been doing so for decades now, i think i've developed a great taste in music. because not only my friends should benefit from it and I thought I had to record this collection somehow for posterity. like a DJ, but only half as cool.

"fotzig" is a slang word in german rap. “fotze” (it means cunt) has been one of the worst insults for women in the German language. It was very common in German rap , used in a misogynistic manner by chauvinists and macho men, for a long time. Until SXTN, Ikkimel and other great musicians and word acrobats claimed the word for themselves. They proudly call themselves “fotzig”. And I love that and that's why this blog is called that way! Well done girls (haha as if my credits on tumblr had any meaning for these absolute queens and queers) Since I publish music here and don't just listen to it privately, I decided to place a particularly high value on diversity of artists here. "Privately" I also listen to other things. Since my mother tongue is german, many of the lyrics are also in this language.

Blond is one of the bands that definitely shouldn't be missing from this music blog about “fotzige musik” (cool music).

I think in this song they take a stand for veganism. At least one of them prefers to eat pussy rather than animals.

Personal opinion:

“Tchik” or “die toten crackhuren im kofferraum” (the dead crack whores in the trunk). They've been with me for years and are just a really fun, punk band! I would describe the content of this song as them turning the so-called joke about “women in the kitchen” on its head. Now men are supposed to just build wardrobes. I find that very funny.

Today, I'd like to talk about a topic that isn't so pleasant. Yes, I'd rather talk about fotzige music, my dears.

Why are music blogs so affected by bots? Every three hours, a bot writes to me saying that it belongs to an underground collective and would like to promote MY music? (The music on my blog is a collection of musicians, so it's not my own music at all.)

Of course, I block them, but more keep coming. It's not as bad for blogs that cover topics other than music.

Normally, Fritzi processes a lot of negative feelings and transforms them into relatable and humorous musical art. But this time it's the other way around. She sings about love, but I really had to listen closely to notice it… I think it describes life very well through this depressive veil that people can have. My opinion: In this work, the artist deals with her experiences of racism in everyday life and with the police. She also takes a jab at the entire political right in Germany. Although the topics are so incredibly disturbing and sad, she manages to package them into a work of art that is really fun to listen to. Nura has such a powerful voice, and she transforms it with charm and humor into this banger. You should give it a try!
