You know i have meen looking at PF1E's ultimate wilderness. I love the magical plant section but....when are these supposed to be used in game. The things these plants produce only last 24 hours before rotting away. So are they to be only used in defensive fights? Are these magical plants supprise defenses?

In the early 70s Sesame Street was created with an eye towards educating poor, inner-city children for free, and became a massive hit with all children. In 2016, faced with going off the air forever after facing conservative efforts to destroy public broadcasting since basically its beginning, new episodes became a timed exclusive for premium cable network HBO. In 2022 HBO Max, newly merged with and taken over by reality TV channel Discovery, removed Sesame Street episodes and spin-offs from streaming as a tax write-off and scheme to avoid paying residuals.

Sesame Street's official YouTube channel is uploading the episodes for free, btw. A lot of creators are rebelling against this bullshit.

You know, I never really got the whole “Ha ha lazy mojang devs lol” joke when the guy who worked on aether mod alongside other mod devs work at mojang. If modders really could outperform mojang then hiring the mod devs to work for the game should’ve guaranteed like 30 updates a year or something.

Here's an unpopular opinion for you: I personally don't find furry stuff all that interesting, but I think it's absolutely crucial to accept furries and be kind of them. Not just for their sake, but for your own.

The internet is full of people who were brought up believing that weirdness deserves to be punished. Many of them encountered Tumblr, saw all the posts about who they should accept, and now believe "weirdness deserves to be punished, except for…", and then they add autism, ADHD and how far along the LGBTQIA+ abbreviation they've come so far in their personal journey of accepting others. Perhaps a few more posts will make them add letters.

But the truth is that weirdness doesn't actually need to be punished. Some people have hobbies that seem weird to you, perhaps even very weird, perhaps it even crosses into a sexual fetish… and that's literally fine. They're not hurting anybody, they're just being who they are and who they want to be, and that's okay. The only thing that needs to be judges is how you treat others, and in that metric, the folks who bully furries actually don't come out that well.

And if that's true for hobbies, then it's certainly double-extra true for things like gender identities and sexualities. To be clear, that is a whole other thing, I am not saying that being trans and being a furry are the same. They're not. But the basic model of "they're enjoying life and not hurting me, so that's okay" still happens to work.

(Aside: I sometimes see people say, "no, I was an excessively weird kid and I deserved to be bullied for it." I get it; being in on the "joke" that is you, and being the first one to make fun of yourself, feels like it gives you power. But the sad truth is that no, you didn't deserve it, that was an injustice done to you, and pretending otherwise isn't actually helping you or anyone else.)

Furries are certainly not the most oppressed or hated minority out there. But the way in which they've become an internet punchline makes them a good test case. If you're able to accept furries as people having fun in unusual ways, then you should be able to accept everyone else who doesn't quite match what we call "normal" as well.
