Dear friends, As some of you might know I was recently given the opportunity to fly to NY to partake in a fundraiser which was held in memory of one of my best friends, whom we lost to suicide 3 ½ years ago.

All of the immensely skilled performers told their stories through their respective disciplines to present themselves as Living Proof that one cannot only survive, but live and create in the face of adversity.

I got to share my own mental health journey, which I had never done so publicly and openly.

The fact remains that all of this could only happen because my friend died, the sheer pain of which I couldn’t possibly capture in a few sentences on here. And yet, I am so lucky to have known Miles at all, to know the people that loved him most in the world, and that I get to carry all of this with me wherever I go.

So please, if you know anyone who might possibly benefit from hearing what I shared in my speech, anyone who might be or has been struggling, do share it. If there is anyone who might be able to find comfort in these words, I need them to hear it.

This has been my grail pen for 6 years.

This, my dear FPers is a Waterman C/F.

The C/F stands for cartridge-filled, and was one of the first pens to be using this filling system, in 1953.

This model in particular was produced in the years 1957-1958. The pen has a spectacularly smooth 18 carat gold nib, It comes with an original C/F converter.

Sadly, however, the pen doesn’t agree with my left-handedness. So if any of you are interested in buying it, shoot me a PM.

"It could be us, it could be us and only us" I've been a bit obsessed with the Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack. If anyone fancies getting me tickets to NY and/or to the Broadway musical I'd much appreciate it.

The pen you see is an Esterbrook LJ with a rather architect-y nib to it. I restored it myself a wee while ago and it's been lovely to use ever since, of not a little scratchy, which I'm hesitant to fix. The ink Pelikan Edelstein Ruby.
