I like the idea that smilk is autistic nghh its probably just self projection n overanalysis but idk he seems so nurodiverent to me..like his crashouts seem very meltdown adjacent, especially when he yells at people to shut up. Alot of autistic individuals cant express their emotions while under stress so opt to using simple phrases or commands, the whole theatrical persona he orchestrated and projects himself as seems an awful lot like masking, his feelings of deep loneliness and being misunderstood even as fount is a very common feeling autistic people experience?? idk man a little fishy to me.. not to mention the fact that he expresses through creativity, all his passion is poured into every puppet, every script, every prop, EVEN HIS OWN DEAMEANOR. seems like a special interest/hyperfixation to me..girl whatever.
Another headcanon is that smilk shapeshifts because she has chronic feelings of being incomplete, its a feeling thats always lingered since she was baked and its woven into her self perception, she uses all these different forms to see if something will click and make her feel whole but nothing ever works and the looses herself more in the process, never being able to find a body that fills the longing ache in her heart shes such a fucking pathetic chud dude..
This one highkey is about fount but ion curr shes so leng she can be anywhere she wants. Time in the spire is is concurrent, the past present and future is all taking place at once but shadow milk only lets the present be seen. Sometimes the past will slip through and fount can be seen wandering around aimlessly in the spire, you'll catch her lingering on the top of the spire or catching the ends of her hair disappearing behind a doorway.
NGGH this one is about the spire but ough I love body horror and like the spire is in smilks body so I like to think when the spire is quiet you can hear smilks bodily noises like heartbeat n stuff.. And like not related to the body horror but the lighting in the spire is directly linked to shadow milks emotions like when shes happy its bright and when shes irritated asf everyone gotta be blind asl bc allllll the lights r going out or the bulbs r blowing
This one's so tiny n so obvious by the way I've been refering to smilk but I hc she OVERLY dgaf about pronouns and doesnt mind being called whatever, she doesnt have a fixed view of herself because shes constantly searching for one that makes her feel like shes not an imposter in her own skin.
