Hi, I’m Fox and Im okay with any pronouns.

I write mainly Resident Evil blurbs and ideas at the moment. I’m willing to write for other fandoms like Star Wars, Borderlands, Arcane, Baldur’s Gate 3 and more, but will probably be posting a lot of Resident evil. I will also probably post some art on here at some point. This is mainly just a side blog to write about hyper fixations though.

I just saw a TikTok of essentially Papa chris and Jake. My vision is catching on. People are starting to have the same idea.

Nivanshake(I think that what they’re called) but it’s just Sherry and Piers with their feral boyfriend.

Sherry and Piers both work stable jobs. Piers has to take time off after his injury, which is when they get close. After a while he can return to the BSSA, even if in another role. Sherry also took some time off after the events of RE6. She even does asynchronous work for a while, but she does eventually return to regular work.

Meanwhile Jake just kind of does what he wants. He is like a stray cat they’ve tamed. He just wanders in and out as he pleases. Sherry once watched him climb through the window because “he thought the door would be too loud”. He then went to the bathroom, changed, and squeezed between them because he was cold.

Piers installed cameras into the home just in case. Not anywhere private, just spaces where regular burglars could get into. He told Jake this. Jake agreed to it after some grumbling. Jake inevitably forgets and or just doesn’t care. This is how Piers end up with a video of Jake coming home at 3:30 in the morning, eating half a pumpkin pie (which he brought with him), before slinking into the bedroom.

He told Sherry about it in the morning after seeing Jake in bed and the camera footage. Her first thought was “does that mean there is half a pumpkin pie in the kitchen?” They’re both pretty used to his behaviours, this was just the first time they got it on camera. Her and Piers eat the rest of that pie while watching the video together.

Despite entering the house at ungodly hours and doing strange things, Jake does always tell them when he’s leaving. He doesn’t want them to wake up for him to just be gone. They’re all traumatized enough as is.

I should clarify, this post is not saying he’s the only feral one in that relationship. He’s just stray cat feral and doesn’t care to hide it, especially when he’s with his partners.

I think part of the reason I love my “Jake get’s adopted AU’s” is because I feel very paternal for him. However I think it’s also because I think the potential future interactions are so funny.

Like imagine you’re Leon and the girl who you kind of see as a daughter shows up with a guy she’s extremely close with. Then that guy’s mother figure is ADA WONG. The crash out would be one for the history books and I wanna see it. Like he’s trying to keep it together, but Jake keeps doing mannerisms he picked up from Ada and Leon wants to shoot himself.

Or you’re any of Chris’ friends. You’re aware of his weird relationship with Wesker. You’re also aware Wesker tried to kill Chris several times. Then he shows up with a smaller redheaded version of Wesker and tells you that this is his new charge. Meanwhile said child is staring at you like you just hit his dog with your car.

I don’t think there would be an awkward interaction if Sherry and Jake got together in the Dad! Chris au though. Chris is cheering. You’re telling him Leon is technically in the Redfield family now (if just off vibes)? Best day of his life. Also Sherry’s great.

I think Jake x Piers would be really funny in either universe. Piers is writing both his own eulogy and what he plans to say to ask Jake out on a proper date.

In the Dad Chris au does Piers hope Chris reacts well to the news if Jake says yes? Absolutely. However, Chris was already pretty protective BEFORE he officially adopted Jake. Now that he’s legally his dad? He’s full papa bear and Piers is half concerned he’s gonna die today.

In the mama Ada au he’s wearing a bulletproof vest to the date. He’s a BSSA agent dating a mercenary, who is essentially the adoptive son of one of the most wanted mercenaries on the planet. Piers is also incredibly aware of the fact he tried to arrest Ada and that probably did not create a great first impression. Jake is like “oh Ada is just a big softie on the inside,” meanwhile Piers is pretty sure he just saw a red dot on the table.

JAKE SELKIE AU!!!

Jake’s mama was a selkie. She wanted a baby, but couldn’t find a selkie mate. Easy solution, do the old selkie way and have a baby with a human then skedaddle! Thankfully the human she chose seemed to think of it as transactional as well, which worked great for her.

Except her baby isn’t normal. He comes out fine, a little seal pup all squishy and soft. But he shifts too early and doesn’t shift back easily. Not to mention his teeth are too sharp even for a selkie. Even when he’s human he doesn’t look exactly human. Her pack is wary of the strange baby and she ends up leaving to protect him.

Jake’s mama tries to protect him. She takes him to Edonia, the land where she was born. It’s completely land locked though. Jake learns to shift and swim in the body of waters he can. His mama promises they’ll visit the sea properly one day. Except she begins to get sicker and sicker. Jake takes up mercenary work to help, but she passes when he’s away. He takes her to the sea to give her a proper selkie funeral. This is where he runs into her old pack. His mother’s old pack promises to give her a proper funeral, but tells him he can’t stay.

He doesn’t shift for a very long time after that. His coat a treasure he’s too scared to wrap around himself. He feels undeserving of it.

Jake is a monster. That he’s sure of. Not because he is a selkie, but because he is sure he’s not. He’s not sure what he is, but he knows he’s wrong. It’s all because of his human side. He’s not sure how, but he knows somehow it corrupted the rest of him. He hates his human half and his father for giving it to him.

Have some cute Luis lives Serennedy headcannons.

• Luis can cook and does 90% of the cooking. Leon is really good at making do with what he has, but that doesn’t really make him a good cook. He can cook a couple family recipes, but he’d rather leave it up to Luis.

• Luis can dance! We know this. Leon has white boy shuffle. Luis will dance with him anyway, he just usually ends up leading.

• Leon is on spider killing duty in their home.

• Luis prefers his apples sliced, he says it simply makes them better. He doesn’t really ask for Leon to do it, he just mentioned it once while slicing them himself. Leon does it all the time for him now. If anyone asks about it he’ll tell them that it takes him 2 seconds and makes Luis happy. He then starts questioning if they wouldn’t do that for their partner and why.

• They shit talk about people in Spanish.

• Chris knows they do it but doesn’t really know Spanish so they’ll fuck with him by talking in Spanish around him. They aren’t even shit talking, just messing with him.

• I could see Luis joining Terrasave or a similar organization like Claire did. It’s his way of trying to right his wrongs. Or possibly working with Rebecca on cures and such. Either way Leon is very supportive.

• Leon gets Luis to quit smoking.

• Luis has a bunch of those “making a video when I want something” videos on his phone and half of them are him saying he wants a cigarette or Leon. (Inspired by a hollanov video I saw on TikTok)

• They have a dog that Leon rescued on a mission. I’m thinking a little cocker spaniel. That dog is spoiled and loves its dads. It will try to maul strangers though.

• Whenever the dog starts losing its shit at a stranger Luis will usually say something like “just like his dad, so aggressive.”

• If the dog stays aggressive towards someone though then Leon takes that as a sign they have terrible vibes and will distance himself from them.

• Luis and Leon are so touchy. People are often shocked when they find out Leon is, but he is. They like to constantly be touching. Leon will often rest his legs on Luis’ lap while they’re on the couch. Hems also a big fan of casual touching like a hand on Luis’ shoulder, or arm, or wherever.

• Luis will come over and lay fully on top of Leon. If they’re sitting beside eachother then Luis will start drifting towards him until they’re pressed again each other. He’s also a big fan of grabbing Leon’s hand in public, whether it be so he can guide him or just because. Leon loves it.

• Luis will celebrate every little anniversary. Leon will sometimes find gifts left around the house for him and has to figure out what Luis is celebrating now. He loves it and has a list of every single one to date.

• They have so much emergency supplies in their home. their friends would go to their place rather than a shelter if something happened.

• Leon loves hearing Luis sing. Genuinely really likes his voice.

• Luis loves watching Leon workout or in the shooting range. Really just loves how competent he is.

• Claire gets them matching shirts that say “if lost return to Leon/ Luis”.

• Luis wears his constantly.

Jake and Sherry do not have homes. Raccoon is in ruins. Sherry can’t live there and wouldn’t want to. It was ruined for her by the people who were supposed to protect her. She can never return to that place.

Jake is from Edonia. A country that we see is in ruins by the time Chris gets there. It’s likely the home he grew up in is also in ruins. He can’t return. The Edonia he grew up in is gone as well, torn apart by fighting.

They can’t go back to where they grew up. Those homes are gone. However they have each other. I think they’d tell each other about where they were from. I think they’d tried to protect the good memories of those places for the other. Sherry finds edonian recipes Jake describes and shows him. They cook them together and Jake tells her about how his mother used to make them.

Jake finds little trinkets from raccoon. Little keychains of stupid mascots. He finds shows that shot in Raccoon and asks her about the locations. She tells him about each one. One was shot at the hospital. Another not far from where she went to school.

They can’t return to their homes, but when they have each other it feels like maybe they aren’t so far from those homes anyway. Like maybe those homes aren’t gone. Maybe home is here, not a city or a country, but with the other.

One thing I love about shake's dynamic is that Jake is all the badboy-machoman looking but deep down he is sweet and a "i love and miss my mom-boy" , and Sherry is a cute sunshine but once they are together she gets bossy and he loves it 😭😭

Sorry I completely forgot to answer this, but absolutely. I think their powers speak a lot to this. Jake literally has tough skin and strength, however he is human on the inside. Those vital organs are still vital organs and if they get stabbed he’ll die. Sherry’s the opposite. She’s pretty much human on the outside. However her body knits itself back together. She is literally tough on the inside.

Also Jake absolutely loves how bossy she is. “Oh no, my beautiful badass girlfriend of mine wants to go out at a restaurant? She says we’re going at eight and I have to wear the suit she bought me? Oh no, whatever shall I do.” Do not free him, he worked hard to be here. He is like a stray dog being taken in and showed love for the first time. It took him a minute to warm up but he is NOT going back now.

Sherry is happy to have someone who doesn’t second guess her. Jake trusts her implicitly and she loves that. Plus, she doesn’t have to fight to prove herself. She says something, he’ll sometimes make a snarky comment, then he’ll go do it.

Lmao, I have a feeling that Jake complains anytime Sherry asks him to do something, but the second someone else tries to undermine Sherry’s requests, he’s the most aggressively-supportive being on the planet. 

Sherry: Hey, let’s go to the movies, there is that new film that came out and I have been wanting to watch it for a while.

Jake: *Sigh* Come on super girl! We have movies at the house! Why can’t we watch them there? We can even get snacks for way cheaper!

Some rando: Oh man, yeah! It’s absurd what the cost of-

Jake: HEY! WHO INVITED YOU?! Let’s go Sherry! We have a movie to watch!

No, fr. Why are you taking that tone with his girlfriend??? Only he does that. It’s charming when he’s snarky, not when others do it. Or at least that’s how he sees it.

The truth is Jake just likes to seem like he cares way less than he does. So he complains a little. It’s a defence mechanism, also he likes to seem cool. Sherry knows this and Jake knows she knows this.

Jake knows she doesn’t care when others snark her either. However, he cares. He cares a lot actually. He will pick fights over it. It doesn’t even have to be snark, just someone questioning her has him whipping his head around and glaring. He is totally passively aggressively supportive. You’re 100% correct.

Little headcannons about Shake mutations

Jake has crazy night vision. He’s unaware his night vision is that better than others. He knows it’s better, but not how much better. Also his eyes glow in the dark and reflect back light like an animals would. It makes it very eerie to see him at night.

Sherry’s teeth infinitely grow back. She once joked to Jake that everyone’s teeth do that, but she wasn’t sure if he realized she was joking. She told him so he wouldn’t pull out any of his teeth or anything.

Jake has a great sense of smell, it gets better after he’s exposed to viruses. Essentially a mild mutation. Could he be using it for crazy things? Absolutely. Instead he just learned the differences between fast food smells so he can tell when Sherry got McDonald’s without him.

This isn’t a new mutation, but instead a side effect of Sherry’s healing mutation. Her skin is also healing constantly healing. This leads to shedding skin, much like when one gets a sunburn. Jake will help her peel off the areas that really bug her sometimes. It’s like a snake shedding its skin.

Jake inherited a lot of his mutations directly from Wesker. He mainly just uses them to bother his girlfriend like I said earlier. Sometimes he does it and then loses his shit thinking about how much his father would’ve hated that. Then he kisses his girlfriend.

Sherry remembers how her parents seemed by the end. The way the infection changed them. Then she looks at Jake and remembers she’s not them and he certainly isn’t her father. Then she kisses him and tells him to go wash the dishes.

I’ll probably do another post with some headcannons about Shake with physical mutations, like if they began to become less human.

Due to the use of generative AI in the development of RE9 I won’t be playing the game. I will still write pre RE9 characters, but I’m not sure if I’ll be writing based on the events of the game.

I was really excited for this game but I refuse to support the use of generative AI.

The newest RE9 trailer has revived the fandom in a way I could have only dreamed of. Also all the Sherry enjoyers are back since everyone is pretty sure that was her voice in the new trailer.
