Derek wants to comfort her but he’s not sure how. It’s like his presences it making Cordelia uncomfortable. “I’m with you because I love you.” he says. “I’ve been grooming my oldest son to take over as acting Alpha.” His son Scott is young but Derek knows a good Alpha when he sees it. He can leave if that means having Cordelia and raising their cub. He comes a bit closer to her. “I never meant to hurt you like this…”
She looks up at him, wide eyes glinting back and forth between orange and hazel. “I know.” She says softly. “And I know you love me. I love you too.” She sighs. “I just.. I want the world for you. I feel like you’d give up so much for me - and I want you to be with me, but I don’t want you to have to settle.” She admits. “Even if it means I’d be alone.”

Derek listens to her fears and feels his face fall. He promised her so many things. And each time he fell short and Cordelia just accepted it; accepted his faults because she loved him. Derek looks at his hands, feeling like a pup that’s been scolded. Derek knows their child won’t be as accepted as his others, won’t have a place in the world, but he wants to make sure they’ll have one in his family. With his pack, so they’ll know their siblings.
“Scared that I’ll never really be with you.” Derek finishes.
Cordelia hiccups when he speaks, nodding as she agrees. That’s what she meant. She hangs her head, wrapping her arms around herself. “And I don’t know what to do about it - I don’t know if anything even can be done.” She admits. “I don’t want you to stay here because you feel guilty - because you have a responsibility.” How many times has she said that to him? “It’s not - It’s not fair to keep you here with me. It’s not fair to your pack.” She attempts to explain. She’s not a social creature, so putting her feelings into words is not a strongsuit. “I want you with me, but I don’t want you to give up your pack, Derek.” She whispered. “I’m no good for you. You need to be with a beta.” She says finally.

The joyous moment seems dampened and Derek doesn’t know why. Cordelia shrinks away from him looking hurt, her scent changing again. “Corrie…I want to take care of you. I want to be there for you this time.” he says touching her hand.
She doesn’t mean to place a dark shadow over their happiness, but she can’t help herself. After losing their cub before, some sort of switch has been flipped upon discovering her pregnancy, and she isn’t sure what it is. Mostly, she’s just tired. Cordelia knows Derek loves her sincerely, but for as long as they’ve been together she feels like she’s been put second. Now she is finally carrying his child, a moment that should make her fill with pride, but she finds herself worrying about their offspring, about how hurt it will be when they discover their father has children that are much more accepted than it would be. “I’m sorry.” She sighed. “I just.. I thought that we would be together by now. You said... when all of your cubs were finally grown-” Her voice cracks. “That you’d be with me.. I didn’t think it would be long.. but you’re still having them and-” She runs her hands through tangled auburn wavelets. “And I’m scared.”

This time would be different. For each of his she-wolves pregnancies he’d tended to them, making sure they didn’t want for anything. Hell, Erica was on bedrest for the last two months and Derek hardly left her side. “You’re my number one responsibility. You and our cub.” Derek says softly.
Cordelia shook her head, at this point withdrawing from him. Cordelia was soft - understanding and responsible, albeit a bit naive, but in this instant she was distant, and maybe even a little bitter. “You can’t.” She whispered. “You can’t treat me like them. i have been waiting so long to be able to do this at a semi-accurate time so i’m gonna put basically what i thought about season 4/5 (they all blur together when you binge watch) into one big spiel under the cut - mostly organized by character but whatever.
KIRA was the cutest thing ever to me when she was introduced. i’m always happy to see more poc cast, even though she was BASICALLY pikachu which feels a little cliche, but whatever. i love her fashion sense, her perpetually dark nails, her bubbly and over-the-top personality, and (hello!) the fact that she’s a kitsune! yaaaay kitsunes! so, i’m thinking, hell yeah, another cool person to be scott’s love interest now that allison’s gone. but 1.) she replaced allison wayyy too fast 2.) scott never ONCE pushed her away thru his grieving process? rly? 3.) why does she always stop and smile/pose when she gets a good hit in? 4.) why did she get so annoying this season? || i found myself starting to really dislike kira at the end of the season. i guess because she kept leaving and coming back and having to ~find herself~ and i think that it’s unnecessary. there was already a lot of drama going on (both human and supernatural) this season.. so it just felt weird. i felt a disconnect and i don’t like her like i did.
SCOTT is scott. i like that he didn’t blame stiles once he got the full self defense story.. but 1.) duh. sciles is THE brotp. like they’d stay broken up and 2.) he was a little bit of a bitch and didn’t get the full story even though nobody trusted theo anyway.. but damn.. theo was a good liar holy shit. anyway, i like that scott STILL has kept his morals but i’m glad he’s finally accepting that there may be a body count for keeping everyone safe.
PARRISH is my baby. i don’t like that he technically is “dead” or whatever but he’s my pure lil (extra toasted) cinnamon roll and i love him.
LYDIA is also my baby, but i’m a little pissed about her for reasons that everyone’s expressed - lydia can now kick ass with martial arts, use her voice as a weapon, predict death, and have a super genius mind.. and yet, it seems like all the writers have her doing is figuring out stuff too late and being hospitalized. i’m ready for her to REALLY, REALLY kick ass and save the day - like her almost eichen escape on cocaine... i’ll wait.. y’all better not kill her off i s2g.
STILES was awesome this season. I don’t have much to say about him because his scenes are blurry but I loved the scene where we got to see that his mom’s disease caused her to be paranoid about him. hope we get to see more flashbacky stuff. wonder how that affected his personality.

MARTINSKARRISHATE yeah. lydia/stiles/jordan/malia. i’m mad. i shipped stalia. i shipped stydia. i shipped jordia. i kinda even ship malydia a little bit. so when stydia was put on hold for the banshee/hellhound plot and the “we’re two asylum kids in love” plot, i was like HELL YEAH LETS DO IT. but jordan has to be this martyr esque ‘i can’t be with u im too dangerous’ and malia’s keeping secrets and breaking up with stiles to do it.. and since then it’s all felt fake?? like.. malia’s mom is all like “oh is this the boy?” and malia’s like ????? stiles?? gotta protect u fam!!! but like why? it just doesnt seem like malia really cares about stiles at all. and then marrish.. like.. i loved him sparring with her and her bringing her coffee and lydia talking to the hellhound but like.. idk? i guess i feel like they’re trying to make this romantic plot with only platonic scenes? like i would like a kiss or a hug or something before u expect me to believe this? and then lydia fuckin POKES STILES’ FOREHEAD and that literally has more chemistry to me than stalia and marrish which is sad because i ship all 3 of these ships a lot. ok ANYWAY lets move on

HAYDEN ok i was saving hayden for last because let me tell you!!!! based on the rp blogs i’ve seen for hayden i didnt think i’d like her??? i was like ‘ugh i hope she dies this season’ but anyways, now that i’ve seen it, i’m pretty happy about her!!! like she’s not too soft and she doesn’t try to be cutesy or overly feminine but she’s also not a TOTAL tomboy and she’s not COMPLETELY rough around the edges. she’s open minded but stubborn af and i love how she’s willing to make her own decisions!! like, even though she’s in puppy love with liam she doesn’t automatically side with him until she gets the information she needs to make the decision herself. also, when she started bleeding mercury after kissing liam by the bus, like.. im ngl.. i was thinking about erica and cora and how much i just missed having a plain ol’ badass she wolf on the show and why did everyone have to be a kitsune or a chimera.. but anyways, she’s a wolf now and i’m really excited to see where things go with her!
HAYDEN/LIAM cute at first but it also feels forced now? idk all the ships on the show are lacking something for me this season? maybe it was because the actual evil thing and all the other life or death plots were riding shotgun so relationships and character development had to take a backseat?? maybe next season i will get back into the ships again idk.
SEASON FIVE yeah.. this is my least favorite season? but it wasn’t bad. it just wasn’t good. my favorite season was probably 3, and then 2, and then 1, and then 4, and then 5. woo!!! ready 4 season 6!!!!
I’ve done it, everyone. After seeing season one of teen wolf my junior year of high school, not watching any more of it, and then starting over with season in december 2015 - i have, as of march 10, 2016, OFFICIALLY caught up with the show.
and all i can say is damn i hated ally when she was alive but the show feels WRONG without her.

Derek had already come to terms with the fact that there might be no offspring between their union. But this new development has him already over the moon. He wraps his arms around Cordelia’s waist hugging her to him, whining happily.
