The Filmography of Archibald Bryson
This is inspired by an awesome manip photo of young, college-aged DD and GA by @titila4ever78_ (below)
I got peer pressured into writing it by about five different people on Twitter. You know who you are, and I love you for it.
Karlaâs was a coffee shop about a block from campus. The pie wasnât half bad and the coffee was strong, and Karla didnât care if you stayed more than a couple of hours as long as you kept ordering it.
Elements of Film was a popular elective â it filled a humanities credit that most majors required, and though the class was two hours twice a week, one of those days the professor just showed a film, and it was a great way to get caught up on sleep. Not that Dana ever did that.
The class had been assigned a group project â and the group to go with it â and it was the first one of her college career. Though technically a sophomore â AP classes as a high school junior had qualified her to take some college courses senior year â Dana still felt (and looked) like a freshman, though she wore an overly large coat and had her hair teased out to here. The group was supposed to meet at Karlaâs at 6:00, and she showed up 15 minutes early because thatâs just who she was.
remember when Mulder and Scully were told they werenât allowed to be partners anymore so Scully went back to teaching at Quantico again. and she was so sad about being split up that she gave a very strange and depressing monologue about death as she showed her students a cadaver. and one of her students was like... um u good sis?
Mulder and Scully in THE X-FILES: season 1.

oh my god? the x files-fandom was the fandom that invented the word âshippingâ? JESUS CHRIST I LOVE YâALL
Yes, back in the early days, there were two camps of fans: âRelationshippersâ (people all about the MSR) and the âNoRomosâ (people all about the platonic partnership.) Relationshippers was eventually shortened to âshippers.â
The X-Files popularity just happened to parallel the birth of the internet. Philes took it by storm with the creation of fan forums, chat groups, and hundreds of websites devoted to the show, characters, and the actors. :)
The X-Files fandom also coined the term UST (Unresolved Sexual Tension) as a fanfic descriptor. :D Fandom history is pretty neat.
fruck man
Man X-Files was my intro to fandom and fic and it shaped me so much
You know this post?
Itâs true! But the corollary is, âAnd if not Star Trek, probably X-Files.â
Fandom history is fun. Like the time I discovered Sex Pollen is from Star Trek.
I was there for it! What a ride.
On a related note, X-Files is the fandom that taught me that your ship can become canon and you can still lose.
