Now that I'm back (again), I realise I've never made a proper introduction post.
Hi! I typically draw fantasy animal art...
... And recently vanished off the internet for two years to make my own fursuit.
I also play games from time to time, which I make fan art for sometimes (especially for Fire Emblem), and that's most likely how you ended up finding this account. And also why there are such long stretches of inactivity. I don't make fan art often, and I don't draw humanoids often either. :p
As of now, I'm not completely sure how I'll be using this account. Past two weeks have been pretty fun, it feels much more cosy here than other art socials these days.
But as some of you can probably relate, sharing art on socials is a tradeoff. It can be great fun to share and browse art (the latter has been made progressively harder by most platforms...), and it's the best to hang out and chat with so many wonderful artists. However, it also takes time, and it can be incredibly exhausting trying to keep up with how the algorithm will allow you to actually be seen across five different platforms. That's especially discouraging given how arbitrary and small the chances of actually meeting new people seem to be, and how shitty most platforms have become. I'd almost rather share my art privately with the couple people that have followed me for years than throw it out into the open these days. Almost.
All that is to say that I'm not sure if I want to put in the effort of sharing my 'regular' art here as well. I'll probably keep posting my (Fire Emblem) fan art here, maybe try the waters with my regular art, and see how it goes.
If you just saw my art above and went like 'woah, I love that!', first of all, thank you so much, it means the world to me! 💚 I share it on various socials, all of which are linked in my linktree: https://linktr.ee/foxofwonders
Currently that's mainly Instagram, BlueSky, and deviantArt. And who knows, perhaps someday, Tumblr will be added to the list as well! I love to share my thoughts, as you could probably tell, and it's such a relief that this place actually allows that and people seem to regularly do that, too. If you read all that, thank you for reading. Welcome!
