If you're writing anything involving cons, scams, heists, or morally questionable characters who are very good at lying, here are some free resources I've been using for research. Saving you the "why is this in my search history" anxiety.

1. The FBI's Famous Cases & Criminals archive (fbi.gov/history/famous-cases) has detailed breakdowns of real fraud cases, Ponzi schemes, and confidence operations. The language they use is clinical and precise, which is perfect for getting the procedural details right.

2. The FTC Consumer Sentinel Network publishes annual reports on the most common fraud tactics in the US. Great for understanding how modern scams actually work and what makes people fall for them.

3. The Smithsonian's American Art Museum has a free digital collection of forgery case studies. If your character forges documents or art, this is gold.

4. Court Listener (courtlistener.com) is a free legal database where you can read actual court transcripts from fraud trials. Want to know how a real con artist talks under oath? This is where you find out.

5. The Internet Archive's collection of old newspaper crime sections. Search for "confidence man" or "swindle" in papers from the 1920s through 1960s and you'll find incredible real stories that would feel too dramatic for fiction.

Bonus: The Psychology of Fraud section on the Association for Psychological Science website has accessible articles about why people trust, how deception works cognitively, and what makes someone a convincing liar. Essential reading if you want your con artist characters to feel psychologically real.

It's weird to be there. Countless guardians are hoping that we will get Destiny 3 and I am as well. I don't want such a good storyline that took years to build up. It had its ups and downs. People left, people continued playing, and some people like me continue to watch the lore videos to stay connected.

For all that I can hope in the world, alongside many other hopes. I want Destiny to continue.

Week 12, Day 4 - Finished piece

how i'm handling my students using AI to write papers:

-don't accuse them on using AI from the get-go and instead ask them to informally define all the huge words that they used in their essay which i know they don't know the meaning of

-ask to see their original file where they "wrote" the essay. go to version history to see if it was just copy and pasted and then just edited a bit. i keep an eye out for the shit like "certainly! here's an essay about...."

-if they own up to it, they can re-do the assignment for a higher grade even if there will be an automatic penalty. if they don't, i process it like plagiarism and get my supervisor involved.

And this is much better than the immediate accusations. Some students have a good vocabulary. Stop accusing them of faking their essays without proof, and this is a good way to check.

Fellow students please stop using AI, go back to promising not to kill the school nerd if they do all your homework or something.

Nerissa has taken Lady Bloodflame to the dungeon with her. It seems like she may be getting to the yandere stage of this ship

Next chapter is Nerissa's dungeon so it is the make or break moment for this controlled knight.

Will she break free of her curse? Or will she succumb to the voice of the devilish diva?

If it is a succumb to her influence, that either Roa or the other Justice members comes to save her.

Maybe even a redemption arc for next chapter?

Oh and it is only starting to affect younger folks even though it started with middle age.

Lady Bloodflame is just folding with no resistance to Nerissa Juliet every single time. I'm starting to think that she is going to be mind controlled whenever the girls show their true colors.

But at least they're going to a Dungeon together.

I don't know if Shiori wants to the Prisoner of Knowledge as her underling or does she wants the book romantically...
