Noticing the cup, Hyorin chuckled while giving her friend a gentle squeeze before pulling away careful not to bump her hand. She tucked a few brown strands of hair behind her ear and smiled cheekily toward her while listening intently. Work occupied both of them and this little reunion of theirs made all the time away worth the wait.
"Random indeed! I didn't think I'd see you around, haha. What a surprise! Aigoo! Meg, you're such a busy body." Hyorin joked, walking beside her and added a soft nudge with her elbow. "But what you do is great... I just hope you aren't overworking yourself. A lot of people do nowadays and they get sick. Wouldn't want that happening to you!"
Her arm slipped under her friend's, linking them together as they walked. The cheeky smile only widened when she glanced at her then replaced with a thoughtful expression. A lot happened while she was away. Some things good, some things bad and some things ugly. But for a precious moment like this, Hyorin wouldn't dare spoil it with the down events that happened and just maybe save them for a different time.
"Don't worry 'bout it. I'm just really happy to have you back! I've been so busy myself. The girls and I just got back from-- Shanghai? Aish--" Her free hand flies up to scratch the side of her head, "I think that's where we went. Aha.. See? I've been so busy I don't even remember where I go. I'm turning into a grandma!"
After giving her closest friend a squeeze in return, Megan took a quick sip of her coffee before holding the cup out towards the other; she smiled brightly as she bounced absentmindedly on her toes, which was an unconscious attempt to keep warm as they stood together in the cold evening. Warmth seemed unimportant to her for the moment, and in fact she didn't mind the cold - she was happier than she had been in quite a while, thanks to her run in with Hyorin.
"I know, I swear I never stop moving - you'll just have to kidnap me from work, or something," she teased, nudging the other in return with a playful grin on her face. "Thank you though, sometimes I think that I'm just floundering..but that's really nice to hear, especially from you! You're far more talented than I am though, honestly it amazes me sometimes. Make sure you're not working too hard either, okay? Neither of us need to get sick!"
Walking along with the other's arm looped through hers, Megan returned the wide grin, before noticing the thoughtful expression on her friend's face. She knew that in the span of even a few weeks, a lot must have happened for the other, and for a second, she detested the fact that her job took her away from the people she'd grown closest to, even if it was for a short while.
"Okay, if you're sure! I'm really happy to be back, and I shouldn't be going anywhere for a while, at least I hope not, God," Megan laughed, her eyes widening as she listened to her friend speak. "Shanghai? Wow, that's amazing! I've been there a couple of times, but only long enough for a movie premiere." Shaking her head, she gave the other's arm a playful swat as she spoke again, "Grandma Hyo..you're not there yet! If anyone is a grandma here, it's definitely me, I promise."

Her eyes blinked a few times as she looked up at the woman hovering over her. The image of her face coming into view and a faint yet much effort put into it, smile appeared when Hyorin realized who it was. She managed to sit up and nodded while rubbing the back of her head.
"Hey Megan! Uh.. Yeah, I believe I am. Too much thinking and wasn't paying attention."
Hyo's hand dropped to her side when she got back on her feet, joining her friend in a much more comfortable stance than before. She shook away what caused the incident and suddenly what she felt was pure excitement and happiness because her best friend stood before her. It was an unexpected way of meeting but she didn't care. The company of Megan's always made her cheerful.
"I can't believe you're here though! I've missed you, Megan. Oh my god!" Her arms flung around her, pulling her in a tight embrace and bounced, "How you been?"
Watching the stunned expression on her best friend's face, Megan couldn't help but smile; a soft giggle passed through her lips as she covered her mouth, and she rested back on her heels as Hyorin sat up in front of her.
"Oh damn, too much thinking can get you in trouble! I've been there, trust me. I'm really glad you're okay though, that was quite a fall!"
She stood quickly as she watched her closest friend do the same, and she brushed off the other's shoulders, making sure that her jacket was clean of any debris that may have been left over. It had been a few weeks since Megan had last seen Hyorin, as she'd been out of town for work; this was most definitely an unexpected meeting, but nonetheless it was a happy one.
"I know, how random was this?? I've missed you too, Hyo! I'm sorry I was gone so long, that trip took so much longer than I expected," she laughed, smiling happily as she hugged the other tightly, making sure not to spill any coffee in the process. "but I'm so happy to be back back! I've been pretty good actually, how about you??"
