Hey everyone! (Student Auction)

There will be an official announcement for the date, but I figured out all of the info for the student auction! It should be taking place this Saturday (the 26th) at 8pm EST.

There will be an end of the year party tonight!

9PM EST in the tinychat (message this blog or the masterlist for the info) Let's all celebrate 2012, all the memories we've created and the friends we've made, together! There will be food, music, and fun--bring a pal or someone special to the school gymnasium for the academy's first annual year end bash! (And stick around, who knows what kind of afterparties may be held by one of your peers....)

FP Event: Snowball wars!

Thwip! Zoom! Woosh!

These are the sounds you’ll be hearing starting tomorrow, all up through Sunday! It’s time for the first annual FP Snowball fight!

Students and teachers alike will be split into two teams, Team Frosty and Team Rudolph, with the team colors of Blue and Red, accordingly. Pins with your team color on them MUST be worn on your shirt during the length of the event!

Now, how does this work?

Basically, each team starts off with the same amount of people. By the end of the four days, whatever team has more members than the other wins!

How do you get more members though?

Well, this is where the fun truly begins!

You gain and lose other members by means of — you guessed it — snowball fights! Whether it’s a one-on-one duel, a sneak attack, or an all out war, the only way of winning is to hit someone of the opposite team with a snowball!

However, there are SOME rules.

Snowballs cannot be loaded with rocks, ice, etc. We don’t want to kill each other!

You can NOT aim for the face or any other… highly sensitive area of the body. Stomach, legs, back, etc. are easy targets!

Two teachers will be neutral, and not actual players. Each team has one, and at the end of the day, all hits must be reported to them! If you were the one who got hit, you should go with the person who got you to claim the appropriate colored ribbon.

Snowballs thrown during classes will not count, and the offender will be moved to the opposite team for cheating.

Off-campus hits don’t count, either!

The game ends Sunday at 8 pm, and the winning team will be announced the following morning!

The winning team gets a pizza party after the new year!

The games will start tomorrow at 10 AM eastern, and go until Sunday at 8 PM eastern! I figure the rp’s can be held anywhere, as long as the logs are posted! For the sake of ease, I’ll be acting as the two neutral teachers, so in the four day time span (if you do an rp) just come tell me (BUCK OF STARK MOUNTAIN) the outcome and I’ll switch the lists around.

Also, myself and the mods thought this was fun, and although it ISN’T mandatory, I would be really happy if as many people as possible participated ;v;

(PS: The teams were made using a randomizer and probably will stay as-is until the games start tomorrow. They do not include members on hiatus!)

Headmaster Ape is full of the holiday spirit. Thinking of ways to spread some (mandatory) holiday cheer he asks student council to arrange something special, an event, perhaps. After coming together and brainstorming, they settle on a gift exchange--a Secret Santa exchange! Word spread throughout the school, students and teachers alike signed up to receive an Anonymous Santa, and vice versa.

Halloween Event

And onto the more fun things— we have an event coming up this Friday at 8pm EST in our TC. It’ll be a (late!) Halloween festival including fun things like a teacher-run haunted house, a costume contest, bobbing for apples, a hayride, and other things! But we need to have the RPers of teachers to please volunteer for this event.

If you RP a teacher and would like them to help out with the haunted house, please message the event blog with their name.

Here are some things coming up this next week!!

September 19: Student Council Elections. With the start of a new school year, the student council officer positions are yours for the taking! The roles of President and Vice President have been "voted on the previous year"--and are taken. You can start campaigning right now.

September 20: Sadie Hawkins dance. An old favorite, girls ask the guys! It's semi-formal, located on-campus.

September 22: Election Results Announced. This is pretty self explanatory. Word

There will be a school trip to Disney in the following month, but fundraising events are TBA

The Haunted Woods

If you haven't read up on the forest right next to the school just yet, then you probably really should for this upcoming event!

For years and years, students have passed down myths about the woods and all of those who have ventured into it. Sometimes, the upperclassmen would even over exaggerate to scare the younger students into thinking that once you go in, you don't come out. A lot of people blow that off, saying that it's silly. When you have Pokemon on your side, there's no way that you could be in any danger and there's no way that you could get lost for good.. Right? They're definitely over exaggerating, and it's nothing more than that -- right?

Well, that's what a group of students intend to find out this weekend! A somewhat mediocre "exploration" team -- it's not really much of that at all, but kids will say what they will to make themselves look cool -- will set out into the woods, all very eager to discover whether or not the myths are really true! Or, well, either that or they were dragged along against their will, but who cares about that.

You can join the group if you want to("Be there or be a fucking wimp"), and all you have to do is show up near the entrance on Sunday night at 8pm EST. Just remember, if you do show up, though.. Don't die!

A Belated Back to School Festival!

Welcome back, Lillipups! We hope that you've been enjoying the start of your summer session! As a little back to school present from the school, we're going to be holding a festival for the students and staff. Expect to see decorations hanging from the ceilings and walls along the hallways and displays of anything that can be considered full of school spirit.

As many of you know, a festival would be nothing without it's very own theme. Have you ever heard the legends of Jirachi, the wish Pokemon? In case you haven't, here is a summary of Jirachi from our very own text books:

Jirachi is a Pokemon that lives in hibernation for a long period of time. While it sleeps, a tough crystalline shell envelops the body to protect it from enemies. It is said that Jirachi will awaken from its sleep if you sing to it in a voice of purity. However, it will only be awake for seven days out of every thousand years. Legend says that it has the ability to make wishes come true during this week.

Even though the official Hoenn festival for Jirachi passed by many days ago, the staff at the academy decided that it can't be a crime to remake it in a more Unovian style as a fun activity for the students and teachers.

Booths will be set up around the campus of the school and sports fields. There will be many traditional games, collectibles being sold, festival foods, and many wish making methods. Just remember, if you do make a wish, don't let anyone else know what it says or else it won't come true!

The festival will be up and running for every night from 6pm to 11pm starting next week on July 16th! It will end and everything will be packed up on July 23rd.

Feel free to roleplay the festival on the dash, over messaging systems, or in the TC when the masterlist announces there's going to be an event for the festival hosted in there! Have fun, Lillipups!
