Also, it’s being filmed and cut specifically to actually show the stunts, and not the explosions in the CG background.

Sort of like when you let dancers film dance and you can actually see their feet and not just the upper third of their bodies, as you get with a lot of regular cameramen, the action they’re trying to convey isn’t being eclipsed by somebody else’s notion of what we’re supposed to find cool.
