the core tenets of most far-left ideology are pretty simple - we, collectively, produce more than enough resources to feed, house, clothe, educate, heal, and protect every single person on this planet. but we don’t. this is a moral failing of humanity, and needs to be corrected.

capitalism is antithetical to this goal. there will never be an end to hunger, homelessness, or war under capitalism. why? because it’s profitable. 

to feed the poor would be for a large corporation to lose money, and that money needs to pay off CEOs.

to house the poor would mean that housing investors couldn’t flip empty homes for profit.

every single industry on the planet profits off of suffering. someone, somewhere is getting killed for the comforts you have. death squads killing union members in columbia so that you can have cheaper coca cola. suicide nets being installed to prevent low-wage workers from killing themselves so that you can have a cheaper iphone.

and there’s nothing we can do under capitalism to stop it. none of our government representation cares about putting a stop to it, because they often profit from the same murderous systems. boycotting a single brand is useless when the same 20 men own every single brand under the sun, and they will keep doing whatever they have to do to wring out as much profit as they possibly can from the world.

this is why i can’t possibly see the morality of a pro-capitalist stance. it necessitates the suffering of millions for the comfort of the few. it necessitates the destruction of the planet and the destruction of humanity so that a few dozen people can pile more onto their money hoard. it cannot be allowed to continue.

Specifically in the case of feeding and sheltering the poor, companies stand to lose money from this not because it costs money to do it, but because being able to feed and shelter yourself without relying on wages elevates your position at the employer’s bargaining table.

Because of this you can also see why being able to load the wage-earning classes with debt and having a monopoly on arable land is so integral to  capitalist supremacy in the modern economy.

im white but im not like. better than any other white person..im automatically an oppressor and people have the right to be nervous or even angry at me no person of colour has to Accept Me or whatever the fuck else they dont have to fuckin ask for my Cool White Guy card. i have a priviledge and i have fucked up and am probably going to continue to fuck up because im white im ignorant to the poc struggle i dont know the ins and outs and intricacies of their stuggles, cultures, and community and it makes it easy to toe a line i didnt even know was there and people have the right to be offended and mad about that. same with me being a man. same with me living in a first world country. same with every priviledge i may have at any given time or in any particular situation.

thats why when people say “not all [white, cis, men, hets, cops, rich, etc]” it gets on our fucking nerves. YES all of them. theyre oppressors and they have the ability to fuck up and they have a power over minorities that allows them to hurt us with little to no consequence. because in specific scenarios they are stronger and at the dial of a number or the press of a key or whatever else they could have us killed or whatever else they want to do and theyll get a slap on the fucking wrist.

(i hope this doesnt come off as me comparing racism to homophobia or saying i understand what they go through, im just hoping i can make people understand what they have to think when they start believing in cisphobia or heterophobia or whatever the fuck else)
