▼ — Blinks at the soldier like she's far from expected one to approach her now of all times, and she lowers the helmet in her hands out of respect. "Is there a problem?" she asks, though in retrospect that much she could figure out for herself-- you don't drive too closely by army bases without a warrant of sorts, and curiosity definitely doesn't count. She huffs a breath.
"All right, yeah." Her lip pulls, and then: "This isn't allowed."

▼ — "Hey!" comes the resounding shout, amplified slightly by the hand cupped over her lips, the singular word echoing through the expanse of trees that separates her from the lone figure she can see far away. Her free hand swipes at the dark brown locks falling over her eyes, irritated; the way she's dressed would imply immediately that she's both lost and inexperienced of traveling into the thick of a forest, though she's far from any signs of distress. Discomfort, maybe, but not distress.
Now if only the man would turn his damn head and look at her.

” —- And you are?”

“Please be careful.”
The group of monsters around Cissnei did little to deter her. Certainly, they appeared to be scary and bloodthirsty. After all, what monster didn’t? But considering her occupation as a Turk, she had seen much worse from far more scarier things. These? These were nothing - barely the top of the peak from the mountain of ugly.
And trust her - there lived a lot of it.
But that’s why there were people of her kind. They were there to fight the horrendous creatures, to protect those unable to fight - namely people like the person near her.
”If you are unable to fight, then I suggest you find a hiding spot until the creatures are dealt with.”
▼ — "I-- yes," is what leaves Nilin's lips after she's turned her head around to look at the beasts the other woman is preparing to fight against. She's never seen anything like them before, just when she thought she's seen enough atrocities during her stay in Neo-Paris-- but that is obviously not the case.
But a fight's a fight, and although there is a surge of panic and fear that rises like bile in the back of her throat, the Memory hunter readies her fists and moves in a couple of steps behind Cissnei. A back up in the event she'll be needed for assistance. "Don't worry about me; I can carry my own weight." Because standing by and being a burden is something she certainly does not do.
A hitch of breath, a flicker of uncertainty. What are these creatures, anyway?

▼ — She hadn't meant to miscalculate her jump, but she could hear the approaching scuffle of her pursuers from right around the corner behind her and she's loathe to stick around to see just what a couple of suspicious men have in store for an ex-fugitive-- so the jump she takes for the next roof is ill-planned at best, and she finds herself missing the pipe and hurtling down a dangerous few feet.
It's quite the height she falls, crashing none too gracefully into the clothesline of someone's backyard; though she's automatically prepped her legs to a slight bend to minimize the impact, she takes down the whole stand of the clothesline with her, and one of the bars hits her cheek. The expletive she hisses in the aftermath is French, and it's loud enough to carry over the silence that follows her landing.
Right. Where to go from here is the question.
