Japan 2015 Day 1-1
Ever since I was a kid, Japan was always part of the ‘Countries To Be Visited’ and now I can safely cross it out of that list. That doesn’t mean I am not coming back though! It is literally one of the most beautiful countries ever.
So I know that this entry has been long overdue already but at least I still posted right? This was our JaFUNTravelz (Yes, that was the official #hashtag and yes I thought of that) from March 27, 2015 - April 10, 201. Anyway… Here I go with Day 1!
We arrived at Narita in the afternoon. I just felt like this airport photo is a mandatory for this post since it is a travel post LOL.
So these are my travel buddies. There’s my Papa, my brother, my sister, and my Mommy. Yeah okay this is probably turning into a personal travel post but hey it’s my post.
This was kinda amazing/futuristic. There is no tollbooth teller!!! Wow okay for someone like me who resides in the Philippines (specifically an MNL kid), this is sorta cool for me cause we’re used to people handing out the cards in the toll booth or someone in the tollbooth (whether you have that E-Pass thing).
So while my whole family was asleep, I had first view of the WORLD FAMOUS Cherry blossoms! I swear to God when you see them like for reals it’s an amazing experience. We picked to travel in this season well duh for us to witness these beauties.
We stayed in the Prince Park Tower Tokyo. It’s beautiful because A) We’re right next to the Tokyo Tower, B) we’re next to the Shiba Park (which by the way has an interesting story but just read on with this post). This was taken outside our hotel. Let me tell you, there is so much foliage in this city! Zen is the word.
The interior of the hotel was like Classic X Modern. It has this sci-fi, James Bond thing going on. I absolutely loved our stay there.
Well they don’t call it Prince Park Tower Tokyo for nothing right? This was our view from the hotel room. I already miss waking up to this.
This is the other view from our hotel room. Temples!!! I’m still in awe of how they mixed the old with the new in this city. The Philippines can learn a lot from Japan.
This was the park I was telling you about. It’s the Shiba Park! We walk through this park to get to the nearest Subway Station. I didn't mind the commute though. :-)
Keep following my blog to see my entries about our 2-week stay in Japan!
