Blubbering, got the sniffles, got the weepies, shedding tears, bawling, sniveling... it doesn't matter what you call it. We can't lie to you good people, today is all about tears. Only we are not quite sure why this is, exactly, because everything would seem to be fine. They are not tears of sorrow, and it's not like we've been laughing too much either. No one appears to be cutting onions in our vicinity. We haven't watched Titanic today, listened to Claire de Lune (drumstep remix), or watched any glorious sunsets. It's certainly not ugly crying. We haven't been reminiscing on the transient nature of things, that change is inevitable, for better or worse, and that all things must pass: including this here present moment, no matter how painful, no matter how wonderful. We have not, unlike the poetry of D.H. Lawrence, been reflecting on the misty, halcyon days of childhood; the innocence of which has long since been dispersed by the grind and savagery of adulthood, recalling memories of mother singing at the piano, and weeping like a child for the past. We haven't been reading it, either. Then, we ask ourselves, why are we so big on crying today? Wait a f*cking minute, of course—it's the latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: #tears of the kingdom! Yay! *continues sobbing*
