Drowning in Depression

I feel like I'm drowning . I hold on to the hope that the depressions will pass, and I try to stay afloat as long as I can. I go about my day, my life, pretending everything is okay.. but really I am drowning in depression. I have panic attacks, anxiety becomes my second name. I try to calm myself down, tell myself it will pass, that everything will be okay...but all the while I am drowning in depression. I want to wake up in the morning and not have my first thought, be "Great, another day." I want to be able to wake up happy and ready to take on the day rather than be upset because I have no one to talk to. I want to not have people tell me that I need to take medications. I hate hearing that. I know that the alternative is too awful to think about for some people, so I lie. I say "I'm fine." I want to be honest with people and say ,"No, I'm not okay."

Battling Body Dysmorphic Disorder

When I am having a bad BDD day and think that I am useless and repulsive and ugly, having someone say “you’re pretty” is somewhat helpful…but it isn’t enormously helpful. What would benefit me more is to hear something like “I don’t give a crap what you look like. I would like you even if your face looked like mashed potatoes.“

Just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean that you should bully someone else because they do. You can quote the bible and say it's an abomination or whatever you want to.
