i have some thots abt poland’s independence day and those are:

throw the whole country out. just yeet it. let it go. what are we doing with our independence today? how do we honour sacrifices made in its name? by denying war refugees, allowing rampant racism, homophobia, violence against women in public spaces go unpunished, by doing away with the separation of the church and the state, by being one of the countries w the highest air pollution in europe? by letting supreme court justices become goverment puppets, by taking away women’s rights to their bodily autonomy, by not prosecuting vicious hate speech from actual nazis???

this isnt a safe place to live in. its an embarrasment and a threat to every single one of its inhabitants that arent white and straight and a man. and nobody in power whose voice actually counts sees anything wrong with that. period.

Venom (2018) tried to portray Venom as a kind of dark character who says scary stuff but I’ve read comics so I know Venom is actually just a super enthusiastic and emotional boyfriend so nice try there Sony

He’s so enthusiastic? He’s so excited to be where they first met and is scared that Eddie isn’t happy too

And he gets confused a lot cos he doesn’t understand why he and Eddie don’t always agree on stuff and he thinks it makes him bad

What people think perfectionism is: I’m going to do this 1,000 times until it’s completely perfect, and it doesn’t matter how tired I am or how many times I fail. Everything I do is super precise and I have absolute confidence but also am super pedantic about getting it right.

What perfectionism actually is: If I don’t get this right on the first try I’m going to cry in a corner and call myself a failure for the rest of my life. I’ve gotten nothing productive done because of this.
