New Lipkits! 😍💄💋 These are Happy Skin's limited edition Festival of Color lipkits. 💕 Shades I got: 💋 The Morning After (Pink Mauve) 💋 Honeymoon Glow (Peachy Pink) Honestly any liquid matte lippie that comes with a matching lip liner is an eye catcher for me. 😍 Each lipkit retails for P1,149.00 and honestly it's not that expensive if you compare it to Kylie's. You technically get two of these for the price of one Kylie Lipkit. And each Happy Skin lip liner and liquid matte lippie contains more product than their Kylie counterparts. How to spot fake Kylie Lipkits
Hi Guys!
As promised here are ways to tell if you’re looking at the replica version of the Kylie Lipkits.
Before going into that though, let’s talk about why you should think twice of using a replica version of a certain cosmetic brand. Yes it’s a lot cheaper and it looks almost the same as the real thing so why not right? Think of it this way, don’t you ever wonder what’s in these replica versions given that they retail for way cheaper prices? I mean you are not even sure if the ingredients written in their packagings are really what their made of(Zero guarantee). In other words, you could be putting your health at risk using them. I remembered swatching a replica version of the Kylie Metal Reign at the back of my hand and it was very difficult to remove without an oil based makeup remover, the real one, does not dry super matte and can be removed easily with wet wipes. It kinda makes you wonder what’s in it?? and the fact that it only costs P150.00! Scary! >_<
If you’re looking into getting very similar lippies to the Kylie Lipkits but want to keep things under the budget, you can always go for Colourpop. They are an amazing brand and is known to be the sister company of Kylie Cosmetics(Never been confirmed though by both parties).
Authentic Lipkits cost about P2,400.00-P3,000.00 depending on the store you’re buying from and the shade that you’re buying. The replica versions, sometimes also called the SG Authentic versions cost about P150.00-P250.00. But since the replicas have changed through the course of time and have now looked more like the real thing, some sellers are starting to sell them for the same price of the actual Lipkits. So let’s get going on how the tell the replica from the authentic:
1. The Packaging
The authentic Kylie Lipkit’s overall packaging is longer and slimmer than the replica version. The inner part of the logo is darker, and when you tilt the box back and forth, you’ll see that the detail in the inner logo is a hologram.The replica version’s logo looks faded. The writings on the authentic lipkit are bolder and the space between the letters is noticeably smaller. You will also notice that they’re not that close to the edge of the box unlike the replica version.
Now let’s look at the back of the box,
Again the writings on the authentic lipkit are bolder and not placed near the edge of the box. If you’re wondering why the top colors of the box are different, that’s because these are two different shades(I was so afraid that I may accidentally use the replica version if they were the same shade lol!). The authentic one is Candy K and the replica is Dolce K.
Looking at the top of the box,
As you can see, the authentic one has a bigger font than the replica version.
2. The Lip Liner
The authentic lip liner is shorter than the replica version. If you look at the bottom end of the authentic lip liner, you’ll see that there’s a serial number. The replica version does not have a serial number and the color indicator of the lip liner is also longer than the authentic one.
3. The Liquid Lipstick
The authentic one is a bit slimmer and slightly taller than the replica version. The Kylie font on the authentic is slimmer and not bold like on the replica version. I wasn’t able to get photos of the inner cap so I’ll just talk about them.
4. The insides of the liquid lipstick(Inner ring of the cap and the wand)
On the authentic one, the cap’s interior is not completely white and not completely round, it has these little ridges(not really sure if that’s what their called lol) On the replica version, the insides of the cap is very white, and slightly thicker than the authentic
The wand of the authentic one has a fluffy tip and like the cap’s interior, it’s translucent white
The replica version’s wand is very white and the wand tip is very simple looking and not fluffy.
5, The Scent
One of the best ways to tell an authentic lipkit is by its scent, all of Kylie’s lippies have a similar scent. The scent smells sweet like chocolate but still has a somewhat chemically smell(BTW the scent it strong). The replica version has a faint scent that’s also sweet but different in a way it smells like cinnamon. And you really have to sniff really close to the wand’s tip to get to smell it.

Quick Lippie Review: Nyx Liquid Suede in 💋 Life's a beach 💋 This is a very bright coral pink shade. The kind of shade that becomes very trendy during summer, thus the reason for its name. 😜 I don't really wear this one often because it's strikingly bright on me. So much that it's as if my lips are glowing pink lol. Same as the other lippies from the Suede line, one layer of application gives you full opacity of the color. No need to pop the wand back to the tube to get more product. From my experience using these, adding a second layer feels weird. It's not the kind of lippie product you wanna keep retouching every now and then, because it does cause build up when you add more than two layers (Actually two layers is already too much IMHO) If they do start to fade out after eating and drinking what I do is I completely remove them first and then just re-apply. They stay on the lips really well and lasts almost the entire day(Given that you watch what you eat). I've also noticed that in some shades, If I keep pressing my lips together, eventually some of the product from my upper lip gets transferred to the bottom lip. I've seen that happen with Tea and Cookies, Sandstorm, and this one.
