Posting this here now:
I have first posted this pic on instagram and then it turned up on facebook, and now it’s out there - crazy how the internet works!
This picture was taken by Todd Sharp in Italy on a day trip over the San Bernardo Pass while he was recording with Chris for her solo album in Montreaux, Switzerland in 1984.
The questions kept coming… Is this real? Is that original? Looks AI..!
How do I know?
I didn’t even bother to explain on Instagram or Facebook bc who’s gonna believe me anyways - hell I can’t even really believe it myself yet - but Mr. Todd Sharp personally sent this to me via Instagram DM on July 12th. He wrote:
Happy Birthday Christine and shared the info on where this pic was taken.
Completely unsolicited - absolutely out of the blue. I couldn’t believe my eyes but it’s the truth. He could have just posted it himself but for some reason he sent it to me .. I am eternally grateful!!! I asked if I could post it and he gave permission so I did. I added the watermark. It exists without the watermark only on my phone and Todd Sharp’s - I do not wanna claim credit and I want everyone to know who’s picture this is.
I don’t know how I got so lucky as that he chose me to send this to, but I will cherish this forever.
I wasn’t expecting something like this to EVER happen and I certainly wasn’t asking for it. I would never bother him about anything else and I hope no one else does. Somehow I have made big enough of an impact with my little Instagram shrine for Christine McVie that he thought me worthy of receiving this photograph.
Thank you Todd Sharp, you have made someone a very happy girl ❤️
