IT’S QUITE THE PIVOT, FIRST COMING OFF AS A COP AND THEN REMINDING HIM OF A ‘FRIEND’ ———– though the shift to the latter isn’t exactly doing much to put her at ease. she’s got plenty of ’friends’ too. “good terms with this friend or?” but she bites her tongue long enough to listen with a fair bit of amusement as he tries to PIN HER DOWN now that beat cop is off the table. (   is she going to tell him that he’s RIGHT more often than he’s WRONG with this new grab - bag of guesses? probably not. but it’s still a bit uncanny to have him stand there and more or less just reciting her RESUME back at her.   ) 

rogue agent? “something like that.” at least he didn’t add ’enemy of the state’ ——— that’s a little harder to explain away. “and no ladder to worry about, either. save you some time.”

but at least they can agree on the fact neither one of them feels much like pulling a TRIGGER for the next ten minutes or so; and she answers his condition by making a point to slide her finger off the trigger and show him her palms. “then i guess we’re good.”

she extends the toe of her boot out to nudge at the foot of the man she was SUPPOSED to be shaking down for information right about now, the realization settling that she’s going to have to play HIDE - N - SEEK in a dead man’s pockets for a bit in the hopes that flying back all this way hasn’t been a COMPLETE waste of her time.

              “if that’s what you want to do to pass the time, sure. we can trade stories. at least it’ll make it less awkward while i’m looking for his phone.” she tucks her FNX back into the holster under her right arm with a sigh as she begins to crouch down. she really hates this part ——— as much as she usually hates interrogations, at least she’s usually good at getting them to TALK.

              “carter,” she doesn’t offer up a first name right away; doesn’t really see a reason for it. (   and it’s not out of concern he’s going to hear her full name and put two and two together. she’s nowhere near narcissistic enough to think that with everything else that’s going on, the US government’s got her face and name in tandem with WANTED everywhere like they’re promoting her new single.   ) “and you’re frank. i’m familiar. SHIELD had a file on you,” SHIELD had files on everyone. “help me flip him over?”

his head shook a bit but for the most part frank was silent for the moment because something like that, wasn’t a confident response. but he also got around, and in his pursuits he heard things, knew things, and something about her was familiar. not that he could put an exact pin in it. but her features, or something. he’d seen it, where? he was drawing an unfortunate blank as he pushed his tongue against his bottom lip and his head nodded.  “ guess we are. ” he responded as he glanced around before he was looking back to her as his hand brushed against his thigh, his ability to grab for his weapon again should that change was definitely there. jaw shifted as he looked back to the blond as she offered the exchange of stories to avoid an awkward nature. but it was the name that left her that was utterly distracting to the coined punisher.  carter. yeah he now knew why she felt so familiar. sharon carter. he didn’t NEED her to tell him her first name. she was one of the most wanted people by the government, the country. not that he trusted their opinion anymore. they wanted him too. as marine he’d been pointed in a direction and ordered to do things to innocent people that made him weary of money, power, and all the blood that came from him, his family included. if they were hunting her, it was probably for the wrong reasons and she was more an ALLY then an enemy of the state. 

she probably understood his side of things NOW better than ever. “ course they did... ” he spoke as she mentioned S.H.I.E.L.D and their files. frank moved down and as he shifted one knee into the ground he grabbed the guy across his back and pulled him towards himself turning him over with a lot more ease than her, not to say she wasn’t strong but a guy THIS BIG and all dead weight. as he dropped so she could check him for his phone he turned his gaze towards her and then arched a brow in a curious manner.  “ you know i would have thought state side would be a bit of a risk for you. most wanted woman in the damn country, this guy really worth it? ”

             jaw tightens,  muscle flexing while she stares at him again.  she could burn this whole place to the ground and it would never feel like enough.  but she pulls her knife from the canvas none-the-less,  lets her arm lower to her side.  she wishes it were that fucking easy.  but the things she wants back aren’t so tangible as a hidden flash drive,  a back up file hidden away behind a shelf.  she’s trying to take pieces of her life back.  or at least,  lay all the decaying pieces of her slaughtered innocence to rest with every asshole that laid a finger on her.  and beyond that…tantalus would never allow records to be kept outside of secure facilities.  magnolia slowly shakes her head,  shoulders sinking a touch.  

“  no.  ”  exhausted mumbled as she re-sheaths the blade  “  not like that.  it’s…  ”  why is she even talking to this guy?  eyelids shut tight and head tips back while she draws in a long,  steadying breath.  holds it for a moment before exhaling out heavily.  she rubs the back of her hand over her eyes as her head tilts back down.  brows furrow once more,  sage hues flickering over the stranger.  “  he…hurt you too?  ”  if he isn’t here for money,  it must be personal on some kind of level.  or maybe he just likes killing rich creeps.  it’s not the worst hobby to have. 

                                         he wondered what had her so.... pent up. whatever history she had with this shit bag was definitely personal. she’d have a vendetta and unfortunately he’d beaten her to it, he would have let her have it if he’d known he wasn’t the only one cleaning up dirt bags around here. frank’s body adjusted and his weight shifted while brown eyes were dancing across her troubled features as he tried to decide his next words, or next move perhaps? sorry i took your revenge mission away from you? not exactly words he wanted to mutter in any manner.  he was a little sorry though, he knew a thing or two about being after someone for taking something from you.  frank’s head gave a slight nod of understanding to what she was saying. he was sorry in away but there was no bringing the guy back. he was dead. frank’s head shook at her next inquiry. “ not me. ” he spoke. but plenty of other innocent people which is why he was here. the untouchable weren’t so untouchable when the punisher forced his way through their doors. “ but plenty of other people, way cops and shit don’t do nothing, i tend to handle it look if..... if i had known someone else had a problem with this guy i woulda left him to ya, you know. ”

good morning friends !! my parents are more or less moved, a few odd jobs to do thursday before the new people get the house friday but they are moved. minus a quick christmas shopping run after supper with my mom to buy my nephew’s gifts i will be online tonight and while at work working on frank & shane’s blogs to catch them up. :)

good morning !! I am extremely all over the place this weekend don’t expect much till monday or sunday night ! my parents move tomorrow, and i have family coming so i have to clean this weekend, yesterday was a shit show of moving stuff and just building my cat’s new tower and shit. anyway THIS WEEKEND and week even obviously i’m scarce while moving my parents.

🌿                   “  𝐢𝐭  𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝  𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞  𝐭𝐡𝐞  polite  thing  to  do.  ”          she  tilts  her  head  slightly,    eyes  narrowing  worriedly  as  she  assesses  the  damage.    he’s  still  standing,    shoulders  framed  by  the  door,    so  he  hasn’t  lost  too  much  blood  beyond  repair  —–  but  the  color  that  stains  him  says  otherwise.    pink  lips  purse  before  she’s  ushering  him  in,    trotting  to  shut  the  door.    andromeda  makes  a  note  to  get  a  new  mop  for  the  floors.          “  well,    wasn’t  it,    like,    a  month  ago  ?    when  i  did  those  stitches  —  ”          she  ducks  around  him  to  check  her  own  memory,    arms  crossing  over  her  chest  in  result.          “  on  your  right  collar  that  are  already  torn  open  ?  ”

                       he was moving forwards as allowed his body hurt in places but you’d never actually know it the way frank remained stoic and reserved. his tolerance could be a gift in times like these. he raised his brow as he moved towards the nearest chair and leaned into it sitting down a second needing to take his shirt but also needing a second to just ... collect. said something about frank castle and the familiarity that andromeda already had with his ... collective scars. “ yeah well they held for a while at least. ” he offered as he looked to his collar his gaze looking back to her as he raised a brow a bit. “ should be like a record or something for me not knocking down your door for several weeks? ”

𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄

IT’S ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS SHE’D REALIZED, LONG BEFORE HE STARTED TURNING AROUND ————— he’s shit at being subtle. not that she’s really one to talk; she’s well aware of the fact that her OWN subtlety skillset on any given day goes back and forth between adequate and NON - EXISTENT.

tonight exactly where the needle lands on that little gauge of hers is still up in the air. (   which ——- she’d rather it be the ONLY THING up in the air, right about now. a pair of pointed guns and pseudo pleasantries aren’t going to do either one of them much GOOD in the long run. but hey, at least he’s definitely wrong about one thing.  )

              “arrest you? you think i look like police?” her FNX hasn’t exactly LOWERED itself at all, but her expressions shifted momentarily from business to BAFFLED. “that’s a little insulting, don’t you think?” of course now would have usually been a good time for her to name drop SHIELD, but the name of dead and gone organizations don’t really carry much WEIGHT these days.

              “no arrests. no shots fired either, i’d kinda appreciate it.” so much for the whole not drawing attention to herself now that she’s BACK on this side of the atlantic for a blink of an eye or two. “talking though. that’d be great. we seem to have similar tastes in SCUMBAGS at least.”

there was a touch of amusement at her utter distain for him daring to suggest she was a cop right now. insulting, which to him merely suggested she wasn’t some beat cop on her rounds who just happened on the punisher. she was better than that, had to be given the manner she spoke. her taste in targets also suggested she knew who he had just dropped and had been here to do the same, or perhaps .... not? his brow raised as he looked to her gaze dancing over her a bit for a solid read.  frank shrugged his shoulders, “ you remind me of a friend... so what detective, fbi, cia? rogue agent.... ” he shrugged a bit. “ how far up the ladder i need to go? ” he inquired before brown hues were dropping back to the scum on the ground head nodding at the fact that the guy was definitely SCUM and extremely dead so where did that leave them?  

“ don’t give me any reason to fire and we’ll be good. ” he suggested quickly as he narrowed his gaze on her a bit. he laughed a bit unable to help himself at the idea of TALKING because that wasn’t his thing, specially with people he didn’t know who just might be working for some organization that he in no way wanted to aid in any fashion.  however, his head did give a general sort of bob to suggest he had heard her, and processed it but wasn’t necessarily about to jump because she asked. “ you wanna talk about our taste in scumbags, huh? talk about the most popular hits or something? ” he spoke hand slapping against the other, “ how about i get a name from you first, i’m guessing you already know mine. ”

What occurred between them had been hard to pinpoint - more than lust, but less than love. Lingering in an in-between place that very few understood like they did. It would always be Matthew for her, as it would always be Maria for him. Those they had loved before the universe had ripped the rug out from under them. Neither of them were healthy enough that they could ever love anything like that again, but they had sought pleasure ( and sometimes that meant comfort ) in each other. 

If it had purely been sex, maybe her betrayal wouldn’t have stung him like it did. 

“ Not for me, ” she assured with an air of arrogance, dipping the cloth in water once more and ringing it partway dry before moving to another section of his back. “ I’m infallible, didn’t you know? ” 

Dark eyes caught his, a smirk tugging on the corner of her mouth. “ There. All clean, ” she dropped the wet and bloodied rag unceremoniously into the sink.

he was positive they had reached this point of clear understanding of what they were although even if it was clear in some fashion it was still hard to describe, or understand. not that labels were really a thing for frank and elektra to bother with on any level. they didn’t do boyfriend and girlfriend, maybe lovers, but they weren’t traditional and neither wanted that.  sure there was clarity and understand on levels others could never achieve. he pressed his lips together and looked towards the mirror to catch glimpses of her within before he was tearing his gaze away and merely waiting. 

her confidence was admirable and a characteristic needed in any sort of leader, no less one he was going to trust. a word used loosely in this manner, but he would trust as much as he could all things considered. “ yeah, so you tell me anyway. ” he offered as simple response.  as the cloth dropped into the sink he looked over towards elektra as he nodded his head, “ great, guess i should get outta here then. ” he offered almost as if awaiting a request to stay. not of a romantic nature but of two people that just might like to escape into pleasure instead. this was their song and dance.

             she can feel the sting of her fingernails biting into the palm of the hand still balled at her side.  all the keyed up energy and emotions within her were meant to be poured into that bastard.  and now,  thanks to this one,  there’s nowhere for it to go.  head shakes at the mention of ‘credit.’  the expression which overtakes her features is nothing short of distaste.  breaths begin to quicken and she turns her gaze from him to look around her.  she needs something to break.  needs somewhere to put all the anger.  the frustration of control being taken away from her again.  fingers uncurl to take a hold of the knife at her hip as she steps towards the closest wall,  driving the blade into a framed photo. 

shattered glass falls to the floor,  quickly accompanied by the wooden frame when she tugs the knife free.  it’s not enough.  but it feels a little better.  “  i.  needed.  him.  ”   metal sinks into a canvas.  some,  no doubt overpriced,  piece of artwork.  fabric tears as her head turns back towards the man.  “  things.  in his head.  imp— important…gone now.  mine to take.  ”   she expects nothing.  knows it can’t be undone.  she shakes her head again and looks back at the canvas to finish destroying it.  

                                         he had to admit this had never happened in his experience since he’d taken up this life style. was definitely a new one. lips pressed together and he was nodding his head as he watched her go. he wasn’t sure what cops, cia, or fbi would think about this scene. would seem peculiar to usual punisher sites no doubt. hey, maybe that was good for him though. his head began to nod and he had something of a look that spoke ya finished? because it couldn’t be helped. hell he’d probably be a little hot he didn’t get a kill too, there was no denying that one. his gaze looking back to her and nose scrunched before he bounced a bit in his spot head nodding casually.  he cleared his throat and looked to the dead guy currently behind him now as he had stepped around ready to take his leave before he was ... distracted by her out burst. “ finished? ” he mused unable to help himself. “ what exactly you hoping to get out of this shit bags head anyway? guys like this tend to keep back ups of their back ups, if it’s something he was into, then maybe he has it hiding somewhere, big house, start looking. ” he offered casually.
