Am I really desperate enough to repost my SCP videos from my dying channel to my Tumblr as well...? Have I... have I really fallen that low...?
I... I... I don't even recognize myself anymore...
Take a journey through a place forgotten by even itself as Dr. Theron Sherman explores The Backrooms, brought to you by simplygids on Instagram
One time, I saw this bread platter and for some reason, it gave me insane SCP-173 vibes. Like, this is literally just what SCP-173 would look like if it was bread on a plate, right? I'm not going insane?
Rough concrete-colored bread that looks like a head on a fat body
Gray rods embedded into the concrete bread that looks like rebar rods
Random assortment of vegetables and flowers, predominantly green and red, reminiscent of Krylon brand spray paint
Placed on top of a sterile white surface with dark grey markings reminiscent of a containment cell
Reddish-brown substance that looks like shit mixed with blood
Probably animate and extremely hostile to the digestive system because good god what the fuck is that coloring
Like, I'm not going crazy, right? People can see it?
It's SCP-173 bread. It's... It's SCP-173 bread.
It's SCP-173 bread.
There's a few easter egg in SCP-9730 that I don't think anyone's ever picked up on yet, and though i won't elaborate on all of them, I WILL reveal that this entire segment is just the loss meme and it drove me nuts how no one caught it.
i may be dragging it but i’m so glad i’m not the only one who noticed the “our age of bronze is collapsing” line from nolans odyssey like that’s objectively so funny it sounds like it comes from a comedy skit that’s criticizing the movie it’s so on the nose

I noticed that SCP-9317 has reached 107 votes. The last time I checked, it had stalled at around 50 votes for a few months. I'm glad, it's an excellent article. I was trying to come up with some theories about its Scarlet King.
Thank you, you are too kind!! I can't believe how many people have posted about 9317 here without me even knowing these past few months... I really shoulda joined Tumblr earlier lmfao
I'm probably gonna keep posting my old art for a few days, after that I'll probably start posting more original content. Still not sure what to do with my blog yet, so it's gonna be a learning experience!
SCP-9317 CAST [WARNING: REALLY OLD ART]
Some art of the Montauk Machine cast from back when my art sucked a lot more than it sucks now. I mean, it still sucks a lot, but not as much as it did back then.
From left to right, top to bottom:
MTF-GIGAS: Telal Usher, Anna Newman, Daniela Tatton, Val Sanders, Alberto Weider-Hoffman, August Kilroy, Hannah Xob, Arthur Vaughan.
Foundation Staff: Cameron Tatton, Russell Pater, Lucas Conley, Agent Ulrich, O5-7, Harley Rowe, Liam Fitzgerald, Stan Vaughan.
i just finished reading scp 9317 (spoilers ↓)
HOLY SHIT IT WAS SO WELL WRITTEN. i was lost like a lot of the time (i can’t keep track of a large cast of characters for the life of me ts is dire) but the parts where i WASNT lost were so excellent that it made up for everything else. for context yes i did continue reading at like part 45 after not having read it for a month or two………….shut up ok
the reveal about the devourer and red god and that montauk represented apathy was SO awesome and it was just generally such a good world building piece abt daevite culture/history/anthropology/whatever else
probably the longest scp i’ve read but easily one of the coolest
I somehow didn't even see this post before, this is too kind! I can't tell you how much I appreciate seeing this, this is what we live for as authors!!!
Getting a comment asking to talk to you and then slowly realizing that the account is from a bot is terrifying like what in fucks name was the end goal here
SCP-9730 - THE IMMORTAL BABY TRAPPED IN CONCRETE Poster
Poster made for SCP-9730 during the DumbCon event on the SCP wiki. Probably the most fun I ever had writing an SCP - However, it is also probably the closest thing to "Marville" on the SCP Wiki so be warned. All in all, I'm extremely proud of it!
Here's a secret: A good old paper texture looks great on basically anything.
Once again, thank you to @dr-sylvester-prince for coming up with the idea!
SCP-9317 - The Montauk Machine Posters
These were created during the SCP-9000 contest, during which time I was working on what's now known as SCP-9317, which is probably the longest work I'll ever produce in my life, and also hopefully the roughest!
Why the fuck is there a Chazington SCP video dropping in less than 2 hours
Idk if I like this artwork
Hi there! Do you care about artists having a right to their work? Do you care about people being fairly credited and compensated? Then LISTEN UP.
I do not want to see ONE. SINGLE. fan of SCP going to see the V/H/S SCP film. I do not want to see any horror fan going to see it. I do not want anyone who claims they care about artistic integrity to go see this film.
Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios are producing “V/H/S: SCP,” a full-length feature based on the online SCP Foundation project.
If you're unfamiliar with SCP, it's an online horror fiction collective. The beauty of it is that it's all CC-by-SA-3.0 licensed, so no one person can lay claim to it. A key part of that license is:
ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
Guess what's fucking that over?
The Wiki's Licensing team was not contacted about this project. I repeat: the Wiki's Licensing team was not contacted about this project.
"But what about Backrooms?" The content for Backrooms was based around Parsons' own series and interpretation aside from the original anonymous post. The Wiki is a collective of hundreds of authors producing original content. It VERY MUCH SEEMS like the people behind this project are about to profit off of basically stealing site members' work. I cannot confirm if authors have been contacted or not, but staff have been totally blindsided. If this film doesn't comply with the SCP Wiki's CC license, there is basically nothing they can do about it. A small horror writing website cannot win a legal battle against these studios.
PLEASE spread the word. I am beyond angry about this.
I'm also tagging @deadmeatjames here real quick because I know you've spoken about this franchise in the past and I am a whole random person online with zero reach.
EDIT: To be crystal clear, this post is not a statement on behalf of Wiki staff or the site as an entity.
EDIT 2: Please do not attempt to contact the film studio on behalf of the Wiki.
