Esme had lost an significant amount of weight while she was gone and she’d never disclose exactly what happened while she was away, but there was no denying that she felt better now. Different, almost like an entirely new person.
Frankie looked up as a woman started talking to him, and a frown shot across his expression. "Are you talking to me? Cause I don't have a clue who you are, lady," he shrugged. Why did he care if she'd come back off a trip, wanted to get a kid and someone called Smee back?

"Exactly what you needed, huh? Give it a few days," Frankie glanced around. He'd been much the same when he first arrived, but now the glamour had shifted and it was old news.

Roo shook her head sympathetically while drumming her hands on the bar. “Whoa, that sounds pretty tough… Can you get me some apple juice?” Roo stared at him while sighing. “I know how you feel. I lost a friend too, only he was like the coolest person in the whole world. This was a big secret, but he’s gone now so I can tell you, he was half robot with super robot powers.”
He orders her some apple juice as he sipped his beer, not bothering to ask why she was there. "It is tough. And I've still gotta pay...it's just the cherry on top. Half robot, huh? That's cool. What's this half robots name?" He paused for a moment before narrowing his eyes. "Was his name Ayden?"

"Someone suggested I be more friendly. This is my attempt."
