that last scene was so incredible cinematic it gave me chills. like the mighty nein on their hands and knees shoveling out mud and dirt out of their friend’s grave as the rain pours down around them, digging and digging and digging and finding nothing. frantic looks between them as they start to come to the realization that he just isn’t there. veth, away from the group, finding molly’s coat, something that gave him so much identity as himself rather than who he couldn’t remember being, lying in the mud feet away from the grave where they buried him; discarded. jester sits intensely focused on the real whereabouts of their old friend, protected and guided by her oldest friend’s divine power, only to be presented the familiar scene of a blizzard and someone who looks like the friend she never got to say goodbye to.
