Some of the layout of this isn’t exactly how I wanted it, but I’m too tired to fix it and so I just decided fuck it. I’m posting it. maybe I’ll fix it later, who knows. Also drawing hair blowing in wind is confusing.

But I am at least really happy with the background in the second panel- that was a lot of fun to do!

I didn’t have the energy to draw a fifth panel, but after Dabi’s finished briefly bluescreening, he looks away and slaps that aloof mask back on to say what’s in the last two speech bubbles. And yes, the response to those was something about hawks being the best person to topple off roofs around lmao

follow up to the last post. In which Dabi’s grafts are finally scarring after eleven years and he is having a very reasonable mental break over it.

Given how unbothered he’s always seemed with accounting for his own physical wellbeing, I honestly very much doubt his wounds have been properly cleaned or disinfected since he ran from the Garaki’s hospital who’s methods themselves are questionable at best. Then the fact that he probably does not change his staples near as often as he should which would only lends itself to further infection risk. What d’ya know, sterilizing wounds and using sterile closures for said wounds promotes healing, wowww Hawks should have been wearing gloves tho, but there’s only so much space in his little first aid kit and it’s still eons better than what was already there

Anyway. One of these days they’ll finish doing the rest of them, but Dabi certainly isn’t going to be the one to facilitate it, so Kei will have to find the healed seam on his own later 6-6

don’t know much about the definitely not earth bender (may flesh them out eventually, we’ll see), but they manage to land a solid hit on Dabs which tears one of his grafts open pretty badly.

the way this scene plays out in my head, rain had been on the horizon during the fight, but the storm only starts once Hawks is here cleaning and disinfecting the wound, and I imagine it comes on pretty abruptly, rain tattering against the warehouse roof, and Kei pauses briefly to look up, listening as thunder rolls and lightning flashes in the windows, before returning his attention to the task at hand. y’know?
