Of Shy Smiles and First Kisses With A Touch of your Hand || Kyungsoo & Chanyeol
There was a slight squeak and Kyungsoo wished that it went unnoticed by Chanyeol. When Chanyeol slightly brushed his hair, Kyungsoo was able to have a glimpse of the other’s forehead and he was somehow relieved he wasn’t able to mention how he liked people with pretty foreheads – his reasons because he’s able to see their eyes better, and it’s very obvious that Chanyeol had pretty eyes, and forehead.
And he’s sounding really weird to himself right now.
Kyungsoo awkwardly cleared his throat to hopefully hide his blush.
“Sure, that sounds cool.” He said instead, because he’s really okay with anything they do today as long as he gets to do it with Chanyeol. Maybe they can go to some music shop and he gets to finally hear him rap or something… or maybe even hear him play something if he’s lucky.
And just like that, an idea pops into his head. He quickly fished his phone from his pocket and held it in front of Chanyeol.
“Pose for me, please?” he asked, thumb hovering ready at the phone shutter. “I promise we can go right after, okay?” and there’s that stupid grin on his face again.
Chanyeol's laughing because Kyungsoo is just so damn cute. He moves to position himself by the tree, deciding that this is where he would pose. He leans against it and tries to act as cool as he can, his hand pushed through his hair and elbow against the tree to balance himself there. He gives Kyungsoo the biggest grin and waits for the okay to move.
Once Kyungsoo had snapped the picture of him, Chanyeol happily walks over to the smaller boy and winds an arm around him. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. "Say cheese!" He grinned, and held the phone to the air before snapping a photo of the two together. "Perfect." He said, fiddling around with his phone's settings to make the picture his new background.
He moved his arm from around Kyungsoo's shoulder and reached down to take his hand in his, leading them out of camp. He didn't care where they went first because he had all day to spend with Kyungsoo, and that's what mattered most to him. "Anywhere you'd like to go first?"
Of Shy Smiles and First Kisses With A Touch of your Hand || Kyungsoo & Chanyeol
Kyungsoo had decided that his favorite look for Chanyeol is without him wearing caps because then he’s able to see Chanyeol’s handsome face clearly. And when the wind’s gently playing with his hair freely like this, Chanyeol looked more stunning than he already did, if that was even possible – but because it’s Chanyeol then it’s a definite possibility.
“T-thank you,” Kyungsoo replied with a blush, feeling shy and relieved all at the same time because at least now he knew his extra hours spent in front of his mirror paid off – deciding to go with wearing skinny jeans and a pastel blue collared shirt. “You look really great too, as usual.” He added right after only because it was true.
A moment passed with just Kyungsoo looking at Chanyeol, enjoying how comfortable he can be by just watching the other. He could stay like that all day and not get tired of it but today was special because he gets to spend the whole day with Chanyeol and he’s back to feeling excited and grinning widely almost instantly.
“So,” Kyungsoo started, walking closer to Chanyeol, still smiling. “Where are we going today?”
Chanyeol grins and brushes his fingers through his hair, the wind blowing his bangs painfully in his eyes. He glances down at Kyungsoo again and smiles sweetly at the boy. The pastel blue shirt was a good choice, he thinks, as the colour seems all too suiting for the younger male.
"I haven't quite decided yet." He admits sheepishly, because it's true. Despite having a week to think over all of the details for their day together, Chanyeol completely forgot to do that. He had been far too excited to be spending the day with Kyungsoo on their first official date that he had forgotten the most important part -- the planning.
"Wanna head to town?" He asked with a smile. He figured that since they've already eaten breakfast they'd take the rest of the morning to walk around and window shop before going to lunch, and would leave the actual shopping until a later time before they came back to camp.
Chanyeol can't help but stare at Kyungsoo because he's just so beautiful. Everything about the younger boy was perfect in Chanyeol's eyes, and he felt so lucky knowing that the other had chosen him.
Of Shy Smiles and First Kisses With A Touch of your Hand || Kyungsoo & Chanyeol
With a last doubtful look in the mirror, Kyungsoo deemed himself decent looking enough for today – not until a last minute fixing of his hair of course – and he was off to the huge tree just by the end of their campsite, the place where Chanyeol had said they would meet, and he only wishes he wasn’t running late considering he did spend some extra hours preparing.
It has been a week since Chanyeol had asked him on a date – and being the weird guy Kyungsoo is, he spent a reasonable amount of time gaping at the guy as his brain tried to process everything because one, Kyungsoo couldn’t believe that he’s being asked by Chanyeol on a date… a date! And two, he’s over the moon from knowing that Chanyeol likes him too – so it took a couple of times of his name being called by Chanyeol before he’s nodding dumbly and squeaking out a yes because really, why would he say otherwise?
And to say that he’s been excited ever since then would be an understatement because he’s pretty sure he’s beyond ecstatic at that point. Kyungsoo had zoned out from the rest of the week, and the next thing he knows he’s stumbling awake at seven in the morning to try and make himself look good – not like he actually knows what to do to achieve it but he tried, ok? He pretty much isn’t a morning person so the fact that he was able to get up at such an early hour is saying something.
The tree slowly came into view and Kyungsoo’s heart automatically started thumping hard in his chest from nervousness and excitement as he recognized a certain tall, elf eared guy leaning on the tree.
“Hi there Yeollie. Good morning,” Kyungsoo greeted with a small wave and a nervous smile when he’s a few steps from Chanyeol – and probably blushing because Chanyeol looked good as usual.
Chanyeol had woken up earlier than usual to prepare his date with Kyungsoo. He still couldn't believe that he had actually gotten the courage to ask the younger boy out, but he did it. And now he's standing under the tree he had asked Kyungsoo to meet him at, waiting for him.
He was early, because he didn't want to be the one to show up late, so when Kyungsoo showed up later, he didn't care. He stood there with his hair blowing freely in the wind, because for once he decided not to wear a ballcap. He wore his nicest pair of jeans and cleanest t-shirt that he could find.
He was staring off into the distance when a familiar voice snapped him back to his senses. "Ahh, good morning, Soo!" He grinned, waving back at him. "You look... amazing." He hummed. Not that Kyungsoo didn't look every day, because he did, Chanyeol was just drawn to how he looked today in particular.

D.O wasn’t even able to create an appropriate pout when he felt Chanyeol’s lips on his forehead and he immediately felt himself smiling at the touch because despite feeling like a little kid from the gesture, he would be lying if he said that he didn’t like it. It must have been a friendly gesture on Chanyeol’s part but even so D.O found the action sweet, causing all the butterflies to invade his stomach and for his heart to start thumping wildly in his chest – it all felt wonderful though, so he wasn’t complaining. Instead, he leaned his head a little more to Chanyeol’s lips and sighed in happiness as he nodded.
“Yeah, goodnight Yeollie, thanks again for tonight,” D.O whispered as he halfheartedly pulled away and flashed Chanyeol a smile as he walked into his tent, stopping just by the entrance so he could still watch the other leave.
“Take care on your way to your tent, okay? Run along now, giant~” he added quickly as he giggled, waving his hand at Chanyeol as the other started to walk back to his own tent.
After placing the bag of goldfish on a table – he’ll find some fishbowl tomorrow – he threw himself on his bed and rolled around for a few moments as he hugged his owl plushy close to his chest, feeling all too giddy that he gave up finding the reason why. Seeing as sleep would probably visit him late tonight, D.O took out his phone to take a picture of himself as he cuddled the stuffed animal close, squishing his cheek on the soft fur of the owl he ended up admitting he looked like a kid. Chuckling at how the picture had turned out he typed on a simple caption of sweet dreams to Yeollie from Soo and his cute owl and clicked send.
It’s just another way of his to thank Chanyeol.
Chanyeol wished Kyungsoo a goodnight and headed off towards his own tent. He always felt better knowing that he was able to get the younger boy back to his tent safely, because Kyungsoo was much smaller than he was.
He got back to his tent and promptly flopped himself down onto his bed. He was wearing the biggest, dorkiest smile anyone could have been wearing. He was too excited to sleep, his eyes wide open and staring at the ceiling of the tent.
"I think I'm in love..." He muttered to himself before rolling over onto his side, hoping that the new position would help him to fall asleep. He couldn't wait to see Kyungsoo again, even if they had only been a apart for a matter of minutes. He didn't like the thought of not being near him.
As he rolled, he felt his phone vibrate and he pulled it out of his pocket, only to grin from ear to ear. God damn it, Kyungsoo was just too cute.
He held his phone up to take a sleepy picture of himself before sending it to Kyungsoo. He must really like the other boy to be sending him stupid pictures of himself where his hair's all bunched up to one side because of his pillow.
The picture was captioned with goodnight my little soo~ i hope you and your cute owl friend have a good night <3
Pororo The Penguin | Chanyeol x Kyungsoo
D.O laughed and nodded happily, though he wasn’t sure how he’s still pretty much elated despite feeling tired and sleepy all at the same time. It must have been the after effects of their little hangout adventure, or it could just be because of Chanyeol – and right now he wants to believe it’s the latter.
“Sure! Let’s go?” he said as he giggled laughed. D.O tugged slightly on Chanyeol’s hand right after he gave it a small squeeze, feeling just a tad bit too excited at the thought of having to spend a little more time with him. He was also glad that Chanyeol had offered to walk him back to his tent because he wasn’t sure how he was going to ask him subtly that he wanted to walk back to camp with him without feeling too embarrassed and end up to just not do it entirely. And with that he started to swing their still intertwined hands as they walked, thinking how he must have looked like a school girl in love.
Love
After his little spazzing moment, D.O broke the very much comfortable silence.
“Hey, Yeollie?” he started, “Thanks for tonight, I really had so much fun.” and he slightly waved his cute little stuffed owl in hopes of getting his point across. Aside from the fun, he also got the stuffed animal that he wanted thanks to Chanyeol, and that made him feel like he really needed to return the favor.
“Thanks for the owl too, I’ll make sure to make it up to you so if you need anything, just… uhh… give me a call, I guess?” he ended up saying and he felt his face heat up as his brain processed what he had just said. He wanted to take it back because that was just plain embarrassing but it was all true so he didn’t, instead he wished his red face would go unnoticed by Chanyeol.
Chanyeol shook his head. He didn't want Kyungsoo to feel as though he had to make it up to him, because in the end, as long as Kyungsoo was happy, Chanyeol was happy. He didn't mind.
"There's no need to thank me." He said with a smile, and squeezed his hand again. "I had a lot of fun tonight too, thank you." He knew he wouldn't have had as much fun as he did if he hadn't met up with Kyungsoo.
They walked through the trees until tents could be seen in the distance, and Chanyeol sighed slightly. Their night together was coming to an end, and despite how tired he actually was, he wouldn't have minded staying up all night if it meant he could spend that time with the smaller boy.
It didn't take them long before they were standing in front of Kyungsoo's tent, and Chanyeol felt almost sad that they had to part now. "Well..." He was always bad at goodbyes, even if they were going to be seeing each other again soon. "Thanks for such a fun night." He smiled, pressing a small kiss to his forehead. "Have a good night, Soo."

Pororo The Penguin | Chanyeol x Kyungsoo
D.O couldn’t believe how much laughing he had done tonight, as well as how much walking Chanyeol and him did – if he’s to do an assumption, he was pretty positive that they’d covered the whole festival judging by the length of time they’d spent walking. And by the time they both thought they’d had enough fun for the day, he started feeling a bit drained as Chanyeol lead him away from all the noise and crowds, the now almost inaudible noise relaxing him.
Clutching his Pororo mask and hugging his owl plushie on one hand, and holding Chanyeol’s hand with the other, he couldn’t believe how much fun he’s had the whole time they just roamed around the festival. Sure it was just a simple walk around a loud and crowded festival, but the feeling of having Chanyeol all to himself for a fun hangout was enough reason to call this night special. And as of now, D.O was absolutely sure that Chanyeol’s pretty special to him.
“Yeah, I’m not sure but I think it’s beyond late already,” he said as he gave Chanyeol a nod and he yawned a bit. He wasn’t wearing a wristwatch, and he’s too lazy to check the time on his phone so D.O wasn’t sure what the exact time was. “Plus I’m already sleepy, aren’t you?” It wasn’t much of a question really knowing the other’s just as tired as he is.
“This just might be the most fun I’ve had in my life!” he admitted after a moment, feeling himself grin right after. “So, let’s walk back to camp together okay?”
Chanyeol couldn't remember the last time that he had had this much fun, but he was certainly happy that the night was shared with Kyungsoo. Sure, they had just been walking around as friends, but it more or less felt like a kind of date. He had Kyungsoo all to himself, despite all of the people that were there.
Squeezing Kyungsoo's hand, he nodded. "Yeah..." He said with a small yawn, however, he knew he wasn't going to be sleeping tonight. He was too pumped from the excitement the festival brought and being with Kyungsoo that he could feel another sleepless night coming. He didn't mind though, because then he'd be left with his thoughts of Kyungsoo and their time together.
"I know exactly what you mean!" And he's grinning, because when isn't he wearing a stupid grin on his face when he's with Kyungsoo? "I'll walk you back to your tent, okay?" He smiled. He was in love with the idea of walking back with Kyungsoo and stopping off at his tent with him, because it meant he got to spend that much more time with the petite boy.
Pororo The Penguin | Chanyeol x Kyungsoo
D.O may or may not have been wondering if Chanyeol was part sniper because he actually looked good holding that toy rifle, and he thinks it must have been because of Chanyeol’s height and obviously broader shoulders compared to him; before his eyes almost bulged out of their sockets as Chanyeol hit the target on his first shot – which was kind of a given already because it’s pretty obvious that he’d be good at these kinds of games.
“Thank you!” D.O screamed said, successfully keeping himself from actually squealing in delight as he was handed the stuffed owl – he was hugely smiling though, he was sure because he could feel his eyes arcing in crescents and his face probably splitting in half all the while. Almost ripping the Pororo mask off of his face, he immediately engulfed the fluffy stuffed animal in a tight hug, burying his face on the soft fur and completely ignored his muffled squeals as he did so – he believed Chanyeol would understand, he had been eyeing the owl for a while anyway and had almost given up on getting it and here it was, thanks to the giant Yoda.
He doesn’t even care anymore if he had looked like a child as he held the owl because hello it was fluffy and cute! That plus he’s absolutely ecstatic that Chanyeol had thought of winning the toy for him. It was sweet he was feeling all the fluttering butterflies in his stomach again, not to mention he’s probably blushing.
As he felt Chanyeol’s hand on his, D.O peaked over his stuffed owl to look at the other and shrugged happily.
“How about we go to where you want to go now?” he said, voice muffled by the owl because really, it’s only right that they do what Chanyeol wants to do now.
Chanyeol seemed to look thoughtful for a moment, squeezing Kyungsoo's hand as he thought about what to do next. There was so much that could be done, really. There were more games, like the ones where you tried to catch a fish on a very thin piece of paper -- a game Kyungsoo had obviously won prior to their meeting.
Or, if they were tired of games, they could wander off and find something to snack on because festivals like this always had really good food to snack on. It didn't have to be another big either, something simple and sweet would have sufficed.
Chanyeol couldn't quite make up his mind, so instead of picking one solid destination, he decided to take Kyungsoo on a small walk around the festival until their feet had gotten tired, and the loud chattering had gotten to be too much for them. At that point in the night, it was well past one in the morning, and the two boys found themselves standing near some trees, a little ways away from the loud music and people.
"I think I'm almost ready to go back to camp.." He said with a soft smile. By this point in the night his mask had been removed and nicely rested on top of his head, which made bumping foreheads with the smaller boy that much easier. "It sure was a fun night." And he grinned, because he really can't remember the last time he's had this much fun, and he that much happier that he had gotten to experience it with someone like Kyungsoo.
Pororo The Penguin | Chanyeol x Kyungsoo
D.O nodded and laughed at the Yoda mask that Chanyeol was now wearing because apparently he’d been right, the mask did look good on Chanyeol. That plus he was just glad Chanyeol agreed to put up with his silliness – who else would get too excited with something small such as character masks but him.
“Okay, let’s go!” D.O said and with a face splitting grin, he gladly lead Chanyeol to the shooting game booth near the mask tent, automatically eyeing those huge stuffed animals that he can only get when he actually ends up shooting the right target – which he already failed quite a few tries ago. He pouted a bit though as he decided that he’d have another try and he swears it’ll be his last attempt and if he still didn’t get the stuffed animal he’d forget about it.
That owl was cute though so he wished his aim had gotten a bit better. Plus he didn’t want to fail in front of Chanyeol D.O blushed when the owner gave him a knowing smile as he gave his money for a few shooting tries. Reluctantly letting go of Chanyeol’s hand, he pointed to the line of stuffed animals on the top row as he grabbed the sniper rifle toy.
“I’ll try to win one of those,” D.O said and aimed the toy gun carefully before he shoots, unsurprisingly missing the target completely. He huffs and the failed attempt in shooting the target continued until his turn was over. With a defeated shrug, he looked at Chanyeol with a blushing face. He guessed that’ll be it for that owl plushie.
Chanyeol smiled like an idiot and tried to hide that he was laughing at just how cute the other boy was when he was pouting, despite both of them wearing masks. "I guess it's my turn." He said with a grin, and handed over a handful of change before picking up the toy rifle.
"It's that one right there that you want, right?" He asked, glancing down at Kyungsoo. He had pointed to the stuffed owl, because despite Chanyeol's attention span, he was quite capable of remembering every little detail about Kyungsoo... Even the stuffed toy that he had wanted.
When Kyungsoo nodded in response, still embarrassed that he had missed, from what Chanyeol could tell anyways, he grinned, and aimed at the target. "Then that shall be my prize." He said with a hum and pulled the trigger, easily hitting the target on his first shot.
The ringer went, indicating that there had been a winner. After the congratulations from the venue's owner, Chanyeol lifted the mask to get a better look at the prize he was claiming. It was a stuffed owl, its eyes wide and staring down at him. It almost reminded him of... Kyungsoo.
"I'd like the owl, please!" He said with a grin, his whole body beaming. He had won many stuffed animals for himself in the past, but never for someone else, and there was something exciting about that. "And here you go~" He said with a hum, handing the stuffed owl over to Kyungsoo after he had taken it for himself. "Thank you so much!" He turned back to the shopkeeper and bowed his head before taking Kyungsoo's hand in his and wandering off again.
"Where to now?"

Just a Little Bit out of Control || Yoochun x Chanyeol
The only thing going through Yoochun’s mind at the sight of the burning generator was how thoroughly and absolutely fucked he and Chanyeol were. He didn’t blame Chanyeol, not really. Both of them were at fault and, above all, it had been an accident. In any case, who was potentially at fault for the incident was definitely not the most important thing at the moment, and Yoochun doubted very much it ever would be. What was important was getting the fire stopped—if, he hated to think, that was possible at all—or ensuring that as little damage was done as possible. The real question, then, was on what exactly they should focus their efforts. Yoochun could barely think straight; he knew he had to do something, but for the life of him couldn’t decide what.
He attempted to calm himself, inhaling in slowly but only get a nose full of smoke for his efforts. Coughing violently and attempting to cover his mouth and nose so that he wouldn’t inhale anymore of the smoke while in the middle of the fit, Yoochun stumbled backwards into Chanyeol. His vision blurred with tears at the sting of the smoke. Nevertheless, he tried to look around as best as he could to see if by some stroke of luck there was a fire extinguisher in the tent with him. Taking in some raspy breaths he turned to Chanyeol, checking first to make sure he was okay before he began to speak.
"We need to stop this before it gets any worse. Can you see a fire extinguisher anywhere in here? My eyes are watering too much." He hoped, desperately, that Chanyeol’s ability would mean his sensitivity to smoke and flames was less than a regular person’s. Of course, Yoochun thought, even if it were true, these flames were a product of electricity and oil as much as any other natural material. He had no clue how that played into Chanyeol’s ability, if at all. He hoped for the latter, though he couldn’t help but expect the former.
"If there’s nothing in here, we need to stop the flames some other way—redirect them or at least slow them down. If not," Yoochung grimaced, "we need to get rid of the other stuff here so that they don’t go up in flames, too." Yoochun bit his lip and pushed away the growing sense of panic he felt. They had to consider things outside the tent, too. He didn’t think there would be a lot of people around—not many of the troupe wandered over this way—but he refused to take that risk. He didn’t let his thoughts stray to what had happened to Fei, either. He couldn’t worry about that now.
"We need to make sure nobody gets near this tent. I’m sure you’re no stranger to how fire does nothing but bring people closer, rather than pushing them away like it should." He laughed, an almost hysterical thing. "Everybody just wants to watch the world burn, I guess."
His thoughts raced and he tried to remember if there were any freaks who had water-based abilities. It was an exercise in futility. It was impossible to bring up such vague memories in a period of crisis. However, if there was truly nothing they could do to stop the flames here on their own, getting help from another cirque member who had a better chance would be the next best thing. “If we can’t find anything here to put out the fire, do you know if there are any other freaks who might be able to help?” Yoochun really didn’t fancy the idea of leaving the tent unattended or—God forbid—actually leaving Chanyeol here on his own, but he didn’t know what else they could do. Would they just have to leave the tent to burn down?
Chanyeol panicked, and he felt his heart racing. The thumping and beating against his chest was drilling his ears, making it hard for him to hear anything the other man was saying.
His mind flashed back to a darker time, a time Chanyeol had once forgotten about. All of the screaming, and crying, and the smell of burning flesh filling his senses. He's nearing tears at the mere thought of remembering such a horrific event -- the reason he had left home in the first place.
However, something Yoochun said had snapped him back to his sense, though, he still wasn't quite sure what exactly it was. In fact, everything was all a blur to him, and he felt cold, despite the heat radiating off of the flames.
Chanyeol wished that he had better control over his ability, and wanted nothing more than to be able to control it when he was having a mental break down, but unfortunately for him -- and Yoochun -- Chanyeol's thoughts were too clouded, and he was having a hard enough time keeping the fire as tamed as it was. He knew that if he continued to think of the past he would lose control and the tent would combust with them still in it.
"I..." Chanyeol doesn't know. He can't remember having ever talked to someone who's ability allowed them to control water -- or anything that would help them put out this fire. Perhaps they were just better off running away and letting the tent burn down.
He shook his head though, because he couldn't become that same coward he used to be. He couldn't run away from his problems like he had always done in the past, simply because something didn't go his way. This was an accident, just like what had happened to his sister.
"I don't know if there's anyone that could help us." He said after a long moment of silence, his thoughts slowly coming back to him. "What do you think we should do?" He knew that they couldn't just leave the tent to burn, but that more or less seemed like the easiest option -- an option that would leave them both with their lives.
He took another moment to look around, to see if there was a fire extinguisher. That had been what Yoochun asked earlier that got Chanyeol to think straight again. "I don't see anything in here either. What kind of generator tent doesn't have a fire extinguisher!?"
Not the Least Bit Strange || Jieun & Chanyeol
So close. She was so close to grabbing the otherwise cute rodent. If only she could let go of the branch long enough to try. Taking another glance down below, she wondered if that was such a good idea. But she had already come this far, it made no sense for her to turn back now. Yet the squirrel had other ideas. It was as Jieun scooted another inch along the branch that the animal chose then to bound away. It ran past her, going as far as to make a stepping stool of her head as it disappeared in the surrounding foliage; a faint rustling of leaves the only evidence of its escape.
During all this, she had had little time to react and so the small creature was gone by the time she had properly realised what had happened. And oh was she upset. She had come this close to catching it just for it to escape her grasp. She suspected, however, that she was never really close at all; the squirrel was probably toying with her the entire time.
With that thought in mind, Jieun’s irritation fizzled out into nothing and she prepared to make her way back down the tree. It was then that the inevitable happened. The branch began to groan under her weight, the poor distribution coupled with how far along it she was, causing the branch to bend dangerously toward the lake. Her eyes widened almost comically. This can’t be happening.
She frantically tried to move back toward the trunk of the tree but her hurried movements only served to make things worse. One bad move and she was slipping sideways. A startled gasp left her. With all the meagre strength she had, she managed to cling onto the underside of the branch - much like a sloth - but already her muscles were shaking and screaming at her to let go. It didn’t help that the trees’ limb was now under even more stress with her new position. She couldn’t believe her luck.
She could swim of course but that wouldn’t make the fall any more pleasant. Despite how her arms protested, Jieun leaned her head back slightly to see just how far a drop it would be. Her eyes came in contact with not only the body of water but another member of the cirque. Oh god there was help! She was saved! She internally sighed with relief but dared not let that relief relax her hold. “Lovely day we’re having!” She called out, voice strained from the effort of talking and hanging feet away from a not so needed dip. As she slid a little further, she skipped the pleasantries with a sense of panic. “Would you um happen to know how to get me down?” She dared another glance at the water. “Safely?”
Chanyeol merely stared up at the girl in the tree, and he couldn't help but wonder why she was up there, especially considering that he now knew she was unable to get herself down. If there was anything that Chanyeol had learned, it was that you shouldn't get yourself into situations in which you were unable to get yourself out of.
Chanyeol seemed to ponder her question for a moment, because in all actuality, he was unsure of how to actually get her down from there.
"Well, I could try to climb up to get you?" He suggested, but as soon as that came out, he felt like kicking himself internally, because how the hell was he actually supposed to get her down from there when he himself would be stuck up there?
"Oh, I know! You could jump, and I could catch you!" Again, another stupid idea, but it felt better than the last one.
I'll be There || Chanyeol x Kyungsoo
“Hmm,” D.O had hummed in response, almost immediately having his body relax, gradually being lulled to sleep by Chanyeol’s voice. He had expected this, which was the very reason he had requested the other to keep talking. Of course he knew that Chanyeol would probably leave after he had fallen asleep, and even though he didn’t want him to, he couldn’t ask him to stay, not after bothering the other so much already.
D.O feels kind of bad that he had to fall sick when Chanyeol visited him; he would have preferred to spend the day with Chanyeol, doing some of the things the other was talking about right now – if not all of them. As he tried to make his brain remember the things Chanyeol wanted to do, he made a mental note to repay Chanyeol for taking care of him today. Aside from the promise he made earlier to teach him how to cook, he’ll definitely dedicate a whole day with Chanyeol and do the things the other wants.
“That sounds nice,” D.O mumbled out again, unsure if it was to answer his thoughts or in response to one of Chanyeol’s talks. With Chanyeol’s steady breathing and the soft thumping of his heartbeat, sleep finally claimed him, unconsciously curling a hand on Chanyeol’s shirt, mistaking it as the edge of his blanket.
D.O was almost positive those nightmares won’t be visiting his sleep this time.
Chanyeol continued talking about anything and everything long after Kyungsoo had fallen asleep. Once he was sure the younger male was out, Chanyeol reached up to run his fingers through his hair.
"God, you're so perfect, Soo." He said softly, trying to keep his voice low so as to not wake the other. He continued to run his fingers through Kyungsoo's hair as he spoke softly, before a small, tired yawn left him.
He shifted ever so carefully, making sure that he didn't jostle the other too much. Kyungsoo had only just fallen asleep a little while ago, and he didn't want to wake him. He was sick, and needed all of the rest that he could get.
Chanyeol had thought about leaving, but when he saw just how comfy Kyungsoo was snuggled into his chest, he couldn't bring himself to move. In fact, he shifted lower so that his head was touching the pillow, and his arms wrapped around the smaller boy's frame, holding him close. Within minutes, Chanyeol felt himself dozing off, Kyungsoo's calm breaking lullabying him to rest.

Pororo The Penguin | Chanyeol x Kyungsoo
“Yeah,” D.O agreed as he grinned. “A Yoda mask would definitely suit you.” He teased and he giggled, it still surprised him at how much he’s giggling around Chanyeol, nodding at the thought of playing a few games together. He had tried to win a stuffed animal on the shooting booth just beside the masks stall, failing miserably because apparently his bad eyesight doesn’t do well with such games – his aim was bad. Maybe he’d have another go and just forget about that stuffed owl all together if he fails again.
Too bad, it was cute too.
A few moments later D.O had spotted the stall – it was quite hard to miss, what with all those masks hanging on it inside and out. He held Chanyeol’s hand tighter as he made quicker steps, finally reaching the stall and asking the keeper for a Yoda mask, smiling as he handed it to Chanyeol.
“Try it on,” he said, looking up at Chanyeol as he practically bounced on his heels. The mask was just a simple one though, without Yoda’s ears and his bald head. He thought it would look hilarious if the two of them wore their mask as they go around the festival – Pororo and Yoda playing around, it would be awesome!
And this is why people think you’re weird, Kyungsoo.
“We’ll get it if it looks good on you,” D.O said, subconsciously swinging the hand holding Chanyeol’s. And he may or may not be thinking that Chanyeol would have looked good with anything he wears.
“Then let’s go play at the game booths.”
Chanyeol was smiling like an idiot and his cheeks hurt from how much he was smiling. He figured that if he smiled any wider he'd rip his face in two.
He hurried after Kyungsoo, because apparently when little people are excited about something, they move at an alarmingly fast speed that someone of Chanyeol's height was unable to keep up with. However, he wasn't complaining. No, Chanyeol couldn't bring himself to complain when he was around Kyungsoo, because everything about Kyungsoo was perfect. From the way that he walked and talked to the way that he dressed and presented himself.
Trying on the mask, Chanyeol grinned once more. "It fits perfect!" He beamed, and glanced down at Kyungsoo. "How's it look? Good? Great!" And Chanyeol hummed, before reaching into a pocket to pull out some money to give to the venue owner.
"And now, off to those games!"
