Basically someone took every scene from Lost and put them in Chronological order. Every flashback, time jump, flash forward, etc. It's insane!

Reasons why I'm shocked the LOST fandom isn't biggger

There’s many reasons. Firstly, the show pre-dates tumblr and although this is the same for, say, Doctor Who and Supernatural, LOST also ended just before tumblr started gaining great popularity. I wasn’t on tumblr in 2010, so I can’t say to what extent it was popular then. But the fact that it is a show that is now over, I’d argue that’s the main reason. Although, the fandom isn’t huge, I still think it’s pretty decently sized esp. cause it is a show no longer on TV.

But there’s also a slight stigma surrounding LOST, I feel. So many times I’ve mentioned to people how much I like and love the show and it is met with sighs and derision. There are a shit ton of people who started to watch LOST while it was on TV but never finished because they lost interest, no pun intended. And that in turn seemed to generate a negative reputation for the show even for some who continued to watch it. 

The demographics of the viewers LOST I’d say are kinda older than the average teen, which seems to be the primary tumblr fandom age group. 

Perhaps, too, the fact the show does not have two white male leads whose relationship is seemingly sexually ambiguous. Nor is there a token angel or a haughty older brother, nor is the show a quirky, long-running British show with crude visual effects and David Tennant in converse. 

Damn, LOST really did miss the boat on this one, right?

"When Lost premiered on September 22, 2004 I was suffering from severe depression. From that first episode, I was hooked. Lost became something I could look forward to each week, and eventually, it became more than that. It was the one thing in my life that was constant. Every week for six years I knew that Lost would come on and I would have something to look forward to and something to escape to. During each hour long episode, my thoughts were entirely on that island. None of my real life troubles or worries could touch me for an hour. And in many ways, Lost gave me exactly what I needed to change my life. All of these characters have certain aspects that define them either in reality, or in their own perception of themselves. Yet these other characters who barely know them see somone different. John Locke isn’t a box salesman, he’s someone special. Jack Shephard isn’t a doctor struggling to come to terms with his father issues, he’s a hero. Kate Austen isn’t a fugitive on the run, but someone dependable, always working for the greater good. Sayid Jarrah wasn’t a torturer, he was a protector. These people weren’t defined by who they saw themselves as or what they did in their past, but by all of these other parts of themselves that they were blind to. Beyond that, in the end, Lost was a show about people. Imperfect people who made mistakes, who were greedy and selfish, but also people who were loving, caring, dedicated. Lost showed me that humanity was a beautiful thing to be a part of and just because I was depressed, I didn’t have to let that define me. My tattoo is the failsafe key from the hatch. The symbolism seemed perfect for me. This key didn’t fix everything or guarantee a perfect easy life for the survivors, but it allowed them to avoid the worst and gave them a chance to keep surviving. That’s exactly what Lost did for me.”

Highlights of 2011 (in no particular order) - getting Matthew Fox to sign a Jackimals photo

I was lucky enough to meet Matthew three times this year while he was in theatre in London, and this particular time was the funniest. It was my sister’s idea and i’m so glad I convinced her to actually do it because it was so so funny. He came out of stage door looking a bit grumpy and started signing for people, and I then directed his attention to the Jackimals photo (his reaction is in the photo above). We then started to explain what Jackimals was and told him about when Damon Lindelof tweeted about it, which seemed to add much more credibility to it.
