The Face Behind Faces of Fredonia:
Kirsten Vine, Video Production & Public Relations
"What is 'Faces of Fredonia' to you?" "Faces has been one of the best experiences I've had at this school. I started it because I was inspired by Humans of New York and I figured that even though Fredonia's so small in comparison to NYC, there are still so many people on this campus and they each have unique outlooks on life and stories to tell and I really wanted to showcase that. Through it, I've met so many inspiring and genuine people that I probably never would have talked to if it weren't for the blog. I'm really going to miss spending afternoons just walking around campus talking to people and taking pictures, but I'm excited to pass the account on and watch the blog continue to grow after I graduate."
"If you could give one piece of advice to the next person who runs this blog, what would it be?" "My advice would be to make people feel like they have a voice and just capture their story. You’ll learn who to ask what questions to; some people you can tell are good with the funnier questions and others are more serious. Sometimes people are really shy, but then other times you'll spend 15 minutes talking to someone in Starbucks like you're old friends. No two interviews are the same. It's really just all about initiating a conversation, asking some questions, and truly listening to what people have to say."
Thanks for a great year, everyone! :)
